Introduction

Welcome to my first guide on Smitefire.

This guide will be about Cupid Cupid, The God Of Love

I Will provide you guys with the basics of playing Cupid while still supplying you with valuable information about how he works and his mechanics in-game.

Skills

Every hit with a basic attack gives Cupid a 3% buff to the damage or healing of his next ability. This can be stacked up to 10 times. Upon reaching 10 stacks, the next Heart Bomb or Fields of Love will stun enemies for 1 second when they explode.

This is a great passive because it can be used in aggressive play and in defensive. The stun on Cupids heart bomb helps you out alot in lane because then when the are stunned you have a chance to throw down your ulti on there face and have an extra second without them trying to run out from it. It also works really well with you Share The Love skill because it increases how much health you can regain so this becomes really valuable when you are laning and your partner is low on health he can just give you the health buff while you drop your hearts for him to pick up because you will not be wasting mana if he picks up all of the hearts.

Cupid fires an arrow that overwhelms the target with love, initially causing 50/80/110/140/170 (+60% of your physical power) physical damage and slowing them by 25%. After 3s, the target's heart explodes, dealing the same damage again to the target and all enemies within a 20 ft radius.

Cost: 70/75/80/85/90 mana.

Cooldown: 12 seconds

In my opinion this is one of the strongest skills possible for an AD carry because you can use it however you like. The way i use the skill is by using it either on the enemy when they are being too aggressive to poke them away, using it when i have 10 stacks of my passive to stun them or using it as a wave clearer because at level 5 i can wipe out the archer line and at level 4 it can bring them down to around 10 hp which is a one hit on them so it trully is a great skill.

Cupid places 3 floating hearts at his ground target location that heal himself or allied gods for 30/50/70/90/110 (+40% of your physical power) when picked up. Cupid regens 30 mana for each heart that is picked up by an ally. The hearts persist for 8 seconds.

Cost: 60/65/70/75/80 mana.

Cooldown: 14 seconds

Here we have the skill that can make or break a good laning cupid because this is the skill that will keep you laning for a long time and will keep you and your partner healthy as long as both of you know what you are doing. This skill should only be used with 10 stack of your passive if you are in the laning phase because it increases the healing on it by %30 which means that at level 5 without any items your partner will recover 715 health which is a huge number on a 14 second cooldown skill.

Cupid flutters quickly forward, leaving a trail behind him for 6 seconds that increases all allies movement speed by 35%. Cupid also gains 4/8/12/16/20% attack speed for 4 seconds after fluttering.

Cost: 70 mana.

Cooldown: 19/18/17/16/15 seconds

It just gets better and better doesn't it? This skill features so much variation on ways that it can be used. It can be used as a escape tool by just pointing it away from your enemy and clicking, it can be used as a juking skill when your in a fight to reposition yourself quickly with a nice attack speed boost (only use this when going 1v1 because then you will have no escape) also you can use it to get in range so you can cast your Field of Love and your Heart Bomb on an enemy's face. The possibilities are endless of what you can do with this skill because it is such a good utility skill for a AD carry.

Cupid fires arrows of love into his ground target location, initially slowing all enemies in the area by 35%. The arrows grow in intensity until they explode, dealing 175/225/275/325/375 (+100% of your physical power) physical damage. Enemies caught within the radius are also mesmerized for the next 3s. Any damage done breaks the effect.

Cost: 80/90/100/110/120 mana.

Cooldown: 90 seconds

This skill is kind of Meh because its not a reliable skill compared to the other AD's like Artemis and Anhur because this skill is more like a ''if you hit it ok if you don't well there's your ulti wasted'' Its a devastating skill if you are laning with Ymir because if you land this and he channels his ulti straight away you kill deal tons of damage on the enemys but you have to remember that any damage to the enemy will take the mesmerized effect off them and then they are free to do whatever they want back to you with probably better ultis.

Tips On Skill Usage

Use this skill if an enemy is being too aggressive because the damage and the stun will completely destroy them and then you have 1 second to follow up and with this build that 1 second can mean over 1k damage on there face.

Only use this skill when you have 10 stacks on your passive if you are not laning with a partner because then the healing will be increased and you will be able to heal more.

Use it all the time it is up if you are laning with a partner because then you will be able to regain your mana because you gain 35 mana every heart they pick up and it only costs 60

Use this skill in any given situation but remember if you burn this skill your chances of escape are reduced

Remember that you can use this skill to escape ultis like Hades and Ymir so beads might not be a necessity

Only use this skill if you are sure that you will hit someone with it because if you waste it it is gone

When the enemies are mesmerized use those 3 seconds to position yourself at a better position like in front of them so there path of escape is blocked without taking damage and potentially dying

Summary

Thank you guys for reading this guide I will keep it updated as time goes on and I will keep adding information to it like the item descriptions and there usage and other important chapters

Great Guide :D I honestly think Cupid is a great dps carry other than magic damage, while magic dmg is strong, i prefer him as a ranged physical carry....I would like to see any new guides from u, keep up the work :D +1

I really liked the guide, especially all the orange!
Joking aside, I likes the details on what the skills are and how to use them, but the guide could use some more information.
Perhaps if you add information on why you chose that build, and what they're used for?
Or even what to do agaisnt certain characters. Like running from this god, ganking this one, etc.
All in all, it's a great guide, +1
