INTRODUCTION / EINLEITUNG

Since the first game with Scylla I liked to play this champion/god, because of her mobility() high dmg output and oneshot potential ;) (see Chapter Playstyle, Tips, Combos)

I turn matches thanks to her ult I'm a Monster and especially the ult reset, when you kill a enemy with the ult.

Of course you have to know that Scylla is very squishy and need to play smart.

Its possible that I dont use everytime the terminology from SMITE. E.g. Armor is the same like physical protection.

Its possible that you can build Scylla with other Items and that can be still effective or maybe more effective. Here I'm interested and I would be happy to read your comments so we can improve the guide;)

This guide will be updated from time to time, but not constant and not to patch releases.

ITEM DESCRIPTION / ITEM BESCHREIBUNG

START:

In conquest I start with , 4x , 4x and , because I want to stay long in the lane. The active is mostly Purification , because that removes all CC from you. Many Mid-Laners have a root, bind, stun etc.

In joust I take almost only Golden Sash and a . I dont need mana pots or shoes, because I get at the start blue buff and i play at the start very passive, until I have my ult.
But you can also start with Uncommon Sash , 5x , 5x and , when you are new with Scylla or you think, that you get hard poke or enemy team has more engage abilities.


CORE:

You should get the core items warlock's Sash and . Many guys finish the highest tier boots and then they are going to build the others items. You should build first warlock's Sash, because you have to get 100 stacks with minions, creeps or monsters.

2nd Item is to upgrade your boots to highest tier .

Now you can build first for more early/mid dmg and then or first for stats like 20% CDR.
I build mostly , because I love CDR ;)

Note: When the mostly enemies build early many magical protection, you can take Obsidian Shard earlier and not after the CORE Items.


ITEMS DEPENDING ON THE SITUATION:

OFFENSIVE:

The rest of the building depends on the enemys champions/gods builds. When they built many magical protection, you have to get some magical power penetration or are there only squishies ? Then you get , because squishies have mostly 30 Magical Protection and with the enemy magical protection is reduced to 0. Less than 0 Magical Protection isnt possible and more items with pen flat doesnt make sense. Btw the passive from is not bad ;)

SOME FACTS ABOUT MAGICAL PEN % AND FLAT


The last item can be now , when they build magical protection. When they dont build magical protection you can get a stronger item than

DEFENSIVE

You have to consider if a defensive item make sense. Do champions/gods have much CC ? Then build maybe this . Is there a strong mage and he has hard CC ? Then build maybe . Is there a strong ad assasin, maybe build

Note: Build only one defensive item and replace it with or , depending how enemies are stacking magical protection.


ACTIVE ITEMS/SUMMS:

purification I get mostly first this active, because in almost every case the enemy mid-laner, jungler or the support has a strong CC, that can be your dead.

Sanctuary When you see incoming hard engage on you, that means people jumps on you, you can active this relict and survive and escape with Sentinel and try to get your combo off.

meditation Is nice to have in early game, until you have your first item warlock's Sash

blink When I'm rly feed i get sometimes blink. This active/summ is good to play aggresive, because I flash with this active/summm to the enemy and try to bind him with Sic 'Em. Is good for 1vs1. In Teamfights you should be care to use it to flash in your enemies ;) Care about that you have to wait 5 sec for using, after a attack on you.

PLAYSTYLE, TIPS, COMBOS, GAMEPLAYS

PLAYSTYLE/TIPS:

Generally mages are beside e.g. the other carry like adc/hunter the most one, who deals awesome dmg. Its important, that you stay in teamfights in a good position to deal much dmg you can to win the fights and the match.

Try in the laning phase to hit your Crush (). You can hit this ablility better, when you bind your enemy with Sic 'Em ()

Scylla is because of her ability Sentinel () very mobile. You can use this ability through walls and its perfect to escape. But you can use it for aggressive playing too ;)

Your ability I'm a Monster get a reset, when you kill an enemy and you can use your ult again!

Try to farm much as possible and dont stay in a huge minion wave.

EARLY-, MID-, LATEGAME

EARLY GAME:

In my opinion its difficult to say, when the different phases of a game start and end, because every game is different. In the laning phase, when you have bought your items, you go to your mid lane and try to farm(make lasthits) much as possible and try not to die, when the enemy jungler ganks. Try to poke your enemy withand go only allin, when you are the opinion you can kill enemy mid-laner.

When the jungler comes for a gank, you should follow, because here is the highest chance to kill the mid-laner

When you cant kill your enemy, try to force him to fallback to base and get the tower.

As I said, be careful of ganks. You can protect yourself with Wards. Maybe the supporter or jungler wards for your lane, but mostly you have to do this for yourself. So plaese get some Wards ;)

MID GAME:

In mid-game are probably some towers down and you try to produce more pressure on enemy side. That means you invade their jungle, place Wards, try to get more objectives like tower or gold fury and catch people.

Also you try with your (part of)team to initialize a teamfight. Won teamfights means you get more objectives, more gold and more buffs.

In this phase you should build items which depends of the builds from the enemies. React what there are building and prob take look of champions/gods, who can oneshot you.

Dont forget to push your lanes and dont give objectives for free.

LATE GAME:

In the late-game you should have a full build or only one/two item are missing, when you arent behind ;) Your deathtime becomes longer and longer, buffs like fire giant become more important.

Its important to make the right decisions, because you have an important role. E.g. you push your lanes and the enemy team try to catch you and kill you. The consequence is, that they can fight 4vs5 without the midlaner(in this case mage), get the fire giant and destroy a phoenix or maybe the worst case they end the game.

TEAMFIGHTS

Like in the mid-game and more in the late-game are the teamfights. Its important to know, where the mage has to stay in the fights and what positioning means.
Positioning means, that enemies comes in struggle to catch you and you can do your completely combo on a enemy carry like adc/hunter or mage. Stay behind your frontline the tanks like supporter/jungler/sololaner. Safe your escape skills likeand use your actives like purification.

Try to survive the fights and get much as possible your skills off likeand bind people withyou want to catch you

When the enemies focus is right, they will focus you and the other main dmg dealer in the teamfights. So look out.

WARDING

WARDING IN JOUST

[ENG]
WHY I SHOULD WARD?:

The most beginners and also the advanced players dont buy Wards to protect their lanes and lives. That gives you a huge advantage, because you see when the enemy jungler or/and the midlaner ganks.

They waste time and your teammates could get a advantage over their enemy e.g. more minion kills, tower dmg / tower demolitions or your team can set a counter-gank.

WHEN/WHERE I SHOULD WARD?:

You should ward the whole time, except at the start.

In the early game you can place Wards at 1,2 and 3. It depends, if you push or you stay closer at the tower.

In the mid game you should place a ward definitely at the gold fury camp(4) and ward(e.g. 5,6) in the enemy jungle to catch people. When you are still in the laning phase, you can place Wards at 1,2,3

In the late game you should place Wards e.g. at fire giant(7) and also deep in the enemy jungle (e.g. all ward places with "...")

my name is gertoxic and I study Business Informatics, B.Sc.
Since I was a child, I played videogames. First MOBA was League of Legends. I started to play LoL in the middle of 2013, but i played Modi already in WC3. So I could collect some experience in this genre.

I prefer first the shoes of the magi and warlock shash at the end. I use the same build only with this exception, and can make at lvl 15 with crush up to 650 dmg. Thnks!!

When you feel better or its necessary to build the highest tier boots first, then it makes sense ;) that is ok. I build warlock shash at the begin, because of the extra hp and mana(especially in the laning phase helpful) and you have to stack the item.
