Build Guide Discussion (58) More Guides

Purchase Order

Full Build (Standard) Notes Cheap and Effective build. Good for early/mid game damage which snowballs into late game stack damage and crazy sustain due to Soul-Eater and ShadowFists healing.

Build Item Transcendence Transcendence
Build Item Ninja Tabi Ninja Tabi
Build Item Soul Eater Soul Eater
Build Item Jotunn's Wrath Jotunn's Wrath
Build Item Hastened Katana Hastened Katana
Build Item The Executioner The Executioner

Full Build (Early Hastened) Notes Use this if you dont need the penetration or are having trouble finishing off squishies mid-game.

Build Item Transcendence Transcendence
Build Item Ninja Tabi Ninja Tabi
Build Item Soul Eater Soul Eater
Build Item Hastened Katana Hastened Katana
Build Item Jotunn's Wrath Jotunn's Wrath
Build Item The Executioner The Executioner

Full Build (The Crusher) Notes A good alternative to the executioner if you want a bit of "bleed". Maybe replace hastened katana with something with more PP (such as Qin Sais) due to The Crushers passive.

Build Item Transcendence Transcendence
Build Item Ninja Tabi Ninja Tabi
Build Item Soul Eater Soul Eater
Build Item Jotunn's Wrath Jotunn's Wrath
Build Item Hastened Katana Hastened Katana

A good way to fight back one of these types of gods late game is to use your 3, dance around them and hope for the best. Pros / Cons

Pros:

  • Anti-CC with 2
  • Good sustain with 3's healing, 4's damage mitigation, and his passive's shields.
  • Has both root and slows.
Cons:
  • No "real" get out of dodge ability aside from his ult. (Combo 3 and 2 to run away)
  • His passive while great for surviving a bit longer in fights is a bit underwhelming due to it being leftover from his time as a warrior.

is the crusher good in conquest?

Yeah, my build is not tested in conquest at all. It is a simple beat people up build meant for Joust/Arena.

Bran, kriega briefly covered ability based builds, but do you think this build is more suited to ravana?

Warrior tabi
Jotunn's wrath
Hydra's Lament (can be purchased later)
Void shield - if another physical ally
Ancile
Situational-beatstick/titans bane/crusher

Jotunn's is IMO not suited to Ravana unless it's a teamfight mode and he's not having to build bruiser. Otherwise, I'd look to get maybe 20-30% CDR from Ancile, Spirit Robe, etc. If you're going full squish or just 1 protection item, then maybe I'd consider Jotunn's, but probably not early. Only 4th item perhaps, or later.

I can look at this build more later.

Joust isn't a team fight mode?

Need to include qin's sais since you r focusing on AA.

So why do you not like building him ability based?

Qin Sais is included for those that want that type of build.

Why not get Warrior Tabi instead of Ninja Tabi? Ravana is an ability based god

Because getting Warrior Tabi is an extra 9 damage (for the first basic attack) at the sacrifice of 20% attack speed and 100 mana. Doesn't seem worth it.

But he's ability based, not AA based so what really matters are the abilities right?

See this is what I said. But good advice on here has a 1/5 chance of actually being acknowledged.

You should know better than to seek affirmation on here, Kriega. Us regulars know your ideas are good, but most of the other people either don't care or don't notice.

Hastened Katana isn’t needed for Joust, it’s better in certain matchups for duel, get Stone Cutting Sword or Heartseeker for Joust instead. You should consider more hybrid items like Masamune, Void Shield, Ancile...etc. I would get Warrior Tabi over Ninja Tabi on him. I probably would get Shifters over Trans if someone else on your team wanted to stack. Bloodforge can be good later as well.

Hastened Katana's passive is incredibly useful in many situations. I'd much rather have the ability to keep on the enemy without worrying about melee slowdown with hastened over Stone Cutting Swords extra PEN as executioner can do that late game if needed. Heartseeker is good but I don't like having to worry about keeping another passive up and sacrificing attack speed as this build is good for getting up close doing 80% of the damage with abilities then finishing them off. All those hybrid items are great (Ancil is very situation though) however Ravana is no longer a warrior and both Masamune and void shield are more expensive with stats that don't quite correlate with the build. Shifters is a good idea if I needed protections (and didn't have a friend I play with), however, replacing transcendence would undermine a lot of the late game snowball as well as early game cooldowns. Bloodforge is also a good idea but undermines the overall cheapness of the build and it's another passive that isn't always useful, what would you suggest replacing for it however?

Stone cutting sword and executioner stack with each other. Just something to consider.

If you have a hunter on your team and they have executioner then it's incredibly unnecessary.

"however, replacing transcendence would undermine a lot of the late game snowball as well as early game cooldowns." - how? Transcendence is only useful if you have many stacks on it or buy it lategame. Shifter's Shield has it's high power if you're above the health threshold.

Here's an example build: Warrior Tabi, The Crusher, Shifter's Shield, Hydra's Lament, Bloodforge, situational item or Jotunn's Wrath maybe even Trans last.
