Intro

Before using Cerberus i was totally into Artio becouse of her healing capabilities.

Now I have fallen in love with this three headed dog!
This build is mainly made for tank, fast skill use and his healing capability.

Please keep in mind that this is my first build i've made public so feel free to leave some comments below!

The items.

Watcher's gift,
this item is mainly used for HP and MP regen since you get extra gold, HP and MP for each assist you get for nearby minions and enemies dying. Making this item the ultimate starter for a support!

Lono's mask, Costs 500 gold but totally worth it!
You basically get a free HP and HP5 boost and free gold!
The item costs 500, gives you 400 gold and sells for 333 giving you a profit of 233 gold!

Ward(2),
Wards are essential on this god in early game, once your ADC leaves or dies you are very easy to kill. Do not underestimate this as one mistake, pushing too far or the enemy jungler ganking can easilly kill you.

Lotus Crown
Lotus Crown,
I personally love MP5 but that's not the real reason this item is added.
Giving you some damage and decent physical defence is nice to counter junglers and the enemy ADC.

Every time you heal yourself by ability you get a protection buff for 20 points to both magical and physical defence.
Now notice his passive ability, decreasing enemy heal and heal yourself for 40%.
Everytime the enemy heals himself you get healed AND the protections buff.

Additional, this effect also occurs when the enemy is using a lifesteal item!

This item is a must have for any cerberus build!

Shoes of Focus,
As you have some very good damaging abilities you could use some damage shoes.
But more importantly, movement and CDR which is essential in this build.
Mana has a little impact since you will have enough MP5 from the next item.

Genji's Guard,
Genji's guard is here for extra protections.
Like mentioned earlier at the wards, you are very squishy early game so let's tackle that problem first!

This item gives you a great amount of Magical defence, health and the CDR we need!
Besides this it gives you 40 MP5 together with Lotus Crow you will have a total of 73 MP5 at Lv.20.

Now his passive, each time you get hit by any enemy magical ability you will get a 3 second cooldown reduction. This effect has a 30 second cooldown.

Rod of Asclepius,
You will probably think that this item is only usefull for the movement and magical attack. This is in fact wrong.

I have compared his third ability and his passive with this item and a similar item with the same magical attack.

Rod of Asclepius actually gave me more than 20% extra healing with this item!
Combined with the movement speed makes this item a must have for any cerberus build!

Mantle of Discord,
Time to boost our defences with an additional CDR stat.
The boosts to both defence stats (+60) is great in late game for some extra protections.
Besides this this is our 3rd CDR item which is a rather good one too.
Use the passive (one second stun at 30% health, 60s cooldown) of this item with your 3rd ability to get some peace farming health!

Mail of Renewal,
Simply the best item when you are on the winning side.
Every assist and kill gives you +15% healt over time.
The last CDR item you need to spam you abilities and heal yourself!
Decent HP5 to passively heal you on rout or retreating.
And most important, a great amount of health! (+400)

Spirit robe
When things are not going as planned you might need some extra defences.
This item gives you CDR, CCR and protections to both pools +40.
This item also has a pasive to mitigate 15% damage when you are hit by a hard crowd control making it a better and suitable item for when you need that extra defence.

GOTZ, that's just you doing your normal dying thing. XD

Try this stock build for non-Conquest: Shoes of choice, Breastplate + Void Stone (whichever order needed), Spirit, Gem + situational of your choice (whichever order).

If you find you're too squishy early, make the shoes Reinforced. Also, don't commit with your jump...save it as an escape.

Ok so basically to the normal build we always use. I knew you were going to say that about the jump and I when I first played him I saved my jump to escape. You always taught me play gods that have an escape. I take that with me

Hi PearAddict,

Thought I'd comment on the build. Due to the build start, it's pretty clear this is for Conquest, and I'm fine with the Watcher's + Lono's start.

As for the rest of the build, here are my opinions:
  • Not sure you need the early Wards, especially with the explanation you give for the reason to get them. If the ADC leaves (to back presumably), why the heck would you not play passively (if you're protecting lane)? Without the ADC, you should straight up NOT push lane...that's a terrible idea. As long as teammates notify and help keep track of enemy locations and warn of enemies missing in the early game, you should be okay since it's mostly laning stage.

  • Lotus Crown is a poor choice, in my estimation. If you understand the intent of the item, it's meant for group healers, so that they can bestow the protections buff to nearby teammates. This is best used for gods like Chang'e, Hel, and similar AOE healers. As it is, Cerb only heals himself. Although I won't deny the benefit you get from it, it will never be used at the level of effectiveness it could have otherwise. If you really want the early dual protections and prefer it over movespeed or CDR, then an item like Stone of Binding (which you do list as an alternate item) would probably be better...allows Cerb to be aggressive (and he's got great damage in his awoken 1), with easy application of the passive's pen effect for nearby teammates via Ghastly Breath. In any case, I think the build order should be vastly different, with Shoes of choice being the first main item...he's going to need speed for rotations, and the shoes all provide a lot of function for the price.

  • Yes, Cerb's movespeed is pretty low (360 base, same as Ymir for example), but I maintain that Rod of Asclepius is a situational item at best. It should not be considered core. Situationally, you could get some great healing from his passive, but you're not always going to be in a situation facing a lot of enemy healing. You also say you get "more than 20% extra healing with this item." Actually, it's exactly a flat 20% given the same power from a different item, and only with regard to Soul Expulsion, not Spirit of Death. Read item description for confirmation.

  • Mantle of Discord isn't a bad item by any means, and hopefully in teamfights you're going to be taking the brunt of damage that would make the protections and passive useful. That said, I think Mantle is really meant for squishier gods as a single protection item, with the passive giving just enough time to pull off a quick escape if they're in trouble. For Cerb and most other tanks, I feel Spirit Robe is a better universal protection item, and I also don't think you need both Spirit AND Mantle.

  • Mail of Renewal is an interesting item, and I'd consider it situational on any tank, but never core. But okay, I can see the synergy between the passive and Asclepius. Definite healing machine, but again, situational, and only if you're getting lots of kills/assists.

  • Talking about your alternate offense item list, I feel Void Stone should be considered fairly core. Pairs well with his Ghastly Breath's protection reductions, and provides good protection and health. If at all possible, I'd suggest this over Genji's specifically for early damage potential.

  • Except in extreme cases, probably wouldn't consider a pure offensive item like Spear of Desolation. Get Void for the same pen effect (but with additional function for teammates since Void's is protection reduction).

  • Think you're missing another situational offensive/utility item... Gem of Isolation strengthens the slow from Ghastly Breath, and since all of his abilities deal damage, it provides a slow on all of those as well.

  • If you're supporting, you really should consider more counter-items...you don't list either Midgardian Mail OR Hide of the Nemean Lion, which are strong counters for basic attackers.
In any case, hope these comments are helpful. I do see the direction you're trying to take, and it could work in some situations, but I think it should offer better direction in case you're not facing the right kind of enemy healing, and needs a both a better balance of protection and a better build order.
