INTRODUCTION
Artemis is not a popular pick, she has no escape and if ganked easy to kill. Her only escape is her small speed buff on her 2. However, if mastered; she can snowball very easily and almost single handed carry the team. All she needs is a little help early game to make sure she gets mid-late game without falling behind.
To start off, early game you have to focus on farming your lane and jungle, it's crucial. Artemis lacks slightly early game in lane clear, but it's not major. Her passive can give you a huge advantage if you land a crit or two, sending the opposing duo running with their $#!@ between their legs. Focus on farming lane and if you have a support who can clear (like Ganesha) clear wave, and take the enemy buff (You can take small creeps on both Void and Damage buff).
After farming early game, make sure before you go back to spawn for the first time you have enough for Warrior Tabi tier 3. Go back to lane and farm, clear your buffs. If you're ahead, clear Gold Fury harpies if they are there. (If you are losing lane and out of health and/or mana leave even if you can not finish boots).
Next back you want to make sure you can finish Devourer and start building stacks.
After you get Ichavial you are pretty powerful and can start taking fights, and when you get hastend you stick on enemies with your 2 and do serious damage.
Tips
If you are new to Artemis here are a few tips that will help a great deal.
- You're 2 has a speed steroid of 20% at all levels, use this to chase and escape.
- When running away try to get in narrow areas and place your 1 below you; they will follow you and get rooted.
- When alting an enemy, as they are stunned place your 1 under them for additional stun time.
- If ganked in duo lane and your alt is up you can not be scared to alt in order to escape. Your alt works as a great escape if needed but should be last resort.
Cons
No true escape
Very Squishy
Learning Curve
Somewhat bad early game
Pros
Very High Attk Speed
Great single target damage
Very versatile ultimate
Best steroid in the game by far
Late game monster
Conclusion
Artemis is a very underwhelming god if you do not know how to play her. You more than likely hate her if you're new to her. But, when mastered she can easily hold her own against some of the better ADC picks. Artemis also has a high skill gap; you can clearly tell and see the difference from a Beginner-Intermediate-Advanced Artemis player. I have Artemis Diamond on both Xbox smite and PC smite so i'm not just speaking out my ***, ive played her and know her in and outs. When mastered you will be making people say she is a broken god.
Also my first ever build/guide criticism appreciated!
