Introduction

Hey Ya'll,

I am new to making guides so please forgive any coding error.

That being said any comments are welcome unless your a troll...

In regards to this build I am a highly aggressive player so I prefer to go with a lot of pen as it lets me cut through enemies quick as a hot knife through butter

lets get this bad boy started..

Ah Puch is power house if played correctly, he is an extremely easy god to play however its all in the rotation and speed and build.

This build has been tried and tested across all game modes and it wrecks.

Pros / Cons

Pros

    Insane burst
Can heal himself (by eating his corpses)
Can CC healers via his 3rd ability
Can go toe to toe with most gods late game

Cons

    Squishy as all get out
    Mana *****
    Hard Boxing early game

Items

Fortified Scepter is the first 2 portions of your Gem of Isolation and would be the first Item you would want to build to give you that early game damage boost.

Gem of Isolation is going to be your bread and butter for killing people, this is due to its nasty little passive of a 25% slow. Now as nice as that dirty lil passive is, dont underestimate the +90 MP and the benefits from +250 health and +10% CCR

Book of Thoth is a monster when it comes to the stacks and pretty much essential in every build for Ah Puch. You get +100 MP, +125 Mana, and +15 MP5.. and once you have your 75 stacks add 750 Mana and when you get full build you also get 3% of your mana back as MP........BANG BANG.

Rod of Tahuti is an absolute must for a mage to start with you get +125 MP and then you get the passive of +25% MP.. now its also great for Ah Puch due to him being a mana ***** and you get +30MP5

Chronos' Pendant is a great Item due to the increase of your CDR (+20%) which means you are going to be banging em faster and that health is droppin. no the 80 MP makes you hit stronger, the +25 MP5 Allows you to hit Longer, and that passive+ the 20% cdr gets you hitting faster.

Spear of the Magus is a phenomenal piece for Ah Puch due to his ability which causes a Damage of Time. You get +50 MP which a lot of folks think is pretty weak however when you add that with +15 Magic Pen and the passive with allows you to drop their Magic Protection by up to 50 (assuming you hit all 3 spells from your main combo which we will cover later) will have you cutting them down in seconds if not killing them out right in 1 combo.

Your 6th Item will be situational and will depend on the enemy Team

Spear of Desolation is a nice piece due to the MP it gives you as well as the cdr and the pen. If you see you are up against a team with a lot of Protection throw this in for the added pen.

Obsidian Shard is a monster because it gives you that +33% pen towards your target. remember even with no armor there is a base Magic Protection that each player has now this little beauty drops 33% off of that so for instance if you have someone @ 100 magic Prot. when you hit them with this they now only have 67

Shoes of Focus are a viable alternative to Spear of Desolation if you see that you are having a hard time getting away from the enemies, I consider this a viable substitution for he fact that you still get the +10% cdr.

Shoes of the Magi Very similar to the Spear of Desolation if you see that you are running into an enemy team with high protection but your still struggling to get away throw these bad boys on and now your Pen base is at 30 so food for thought.

Bancroft's Talon is a great choice if you want a little extra power and some more survive ability.

Divine Ruin is the go to item if you have an annoying healer this could apply to the ever aggravating Aphrodite or the Infuriating Anubis due to the fact that it gives them -40% healing

If you decide you want to stand a bit more Toe to Toe

Breastplate of Valor gives that great little CDR and some Physical protection for the ever annoying Assassins who will undoubtedly come after you. the great part is that it gives also gives +10 MP due to your Book of Thoth

Genji's Guard is a great choice if you have an aggravating mage such as Ao Kuang or Raijin as its going to give you +70 Magic Prot, +40 MP5, +150 health and +10% cdr

Rotation (Combo) with explained Skill choice

Ah Puch has 2 very straight Forward combo one will involve Empty the Crypts the other will not.

Combo 1 - No Ult

Undead Surge > Fleeting Breath > Corpse Explosion

this will allow you to have 3 corpse on the ground (once you hit level 5) maximizing your combos damage out put.

Combo 2 - With Ult (Variation 1)

Empty the Crypts > Undead Surge > Fleeting Breath > Corpse Explosion

Combo 2 - with Ult (Variation 2)

Undead Surge > Fleeting Breath > Corpse Explosion > Empty the Crypts

But why did I wait to get Empty the Crypts until level 6?

A lot of people will opt to get their ultimate ability as soon as it available. With Au Puch this will actually hurt your overall damage output. The reasoning behind this is the more corpse on the ground when you cast Corpse Explosion the more damage it does. so you get your Undead Surge to level 3 which will then give you 2 corpse instead of one. So at level 5 you now have a damage boost because Undead Surge + Fleeting Breath now means you have 3 bodies on the ground to blow up with Corpse Explosion.

But wont Undead Surge do more damage the higher the level?

yes it will however the damage output from Corpse Explosion is much higher and so is the per tick damage that Fleeting Breath does when it starts ticking down.

Team Work

In team fights and how does it work?

Ah Puch has phenomenal wave clear ability with his combo (without the ult) even at level 3. When running Arena after you have cleared mana camp and helped drop damage go to the center and clear the minions.

All of the abilities in the ToolBox of the beast that is Au Puch are ranged so how can he go toe to toe with someone? very simply put just bring your range in and follow your rotation same as if they are far away.

Remember however early game you are super squishy so you need to make sure to hang back unless you see a kill you know you can get and are either covered or are safe to get away after your kill.

Tips n Tricks

At the start of the arena run out to mana camp and use Undead Surge and Fleeting Breath then run back and get mana. Do this again. and then after you get mana the second time wait until the camps spawns and then use your basic combo. this will allow you to have 6 corpse on the ground which just short of 1 shots the camp. By doing this it allows your team to move onto the next camp even faster, which puts you in the middle clearing minions faster.

Until you have fully purchased Gem of Isolation focus on the minions dont worry too much about the other gods as soon as you get your gem get back out there and Hammer em.

REMEMBER even though you are a beast, Au Puch is still squishy and can be easily ganked, try to stay behind your team.
