Full Build

Notes Animosity benefits a lot from this build because of its passive ability. Since almost all of the items in this build give a large amount of health, it lets Achilles deal a lot of extra damage late-game. Soul Eater is the main item of this build. Since the recent increase in player health and minion health, poking/killing the opponent has been much less effective than sustaining health. Soul Eater is very effective against minion waves because of their increased health. Shield of Regrowth has decent base stats combined with a passive that activates using Radiant Glory. The Brawler's Beat Stick provides Achilles with a bit of penetration combined with a strong anti-heal. This helps Achilles out-sustain his opponent in lane. Genji's Guard provides Achilles with a large amount of health and magical protection, which helps him deal with mages in mid/late-game. It also gives him CDR in team fights, which helps him dive back-liners and stun opponents more effectively. Caduceus Shield is an item with good base stats that also benefits allies in healing. If Achilles does not have Benevolence upgraded by this point, it synergizes well with the healing it provides.

Achilles's Skill Order Notes Since the 9.5 update, minion waves are harder to clear and poking is less effective. Soul Eater massively increases the heals gained from minion waves, so the Shield of Achilles ability is better to max than his Combat Dodge. The reason his ultimate, Fatal Strike, is upgraded last is because upgrading it does not increase its execution range.

Situational Items

Notes If you are facing an auto-attacker in lane, or if your opponents have multiple auto-attackers, it may be beneficial to replace Genji's Guard with a Witchblade. If your opponents have 2 or more mages consider swapping the Caduceus Shield for a Runic Shield. Temporal Beads are useful if opponents have high-damage crowd-control ultimates, such as Hachiman or Poseidon.

Pls don't ever run Animosity on Achilles. The build has 0 attack speed to synergise with it and there's warriors with better AA chains for procs like Qin's / Animosity. Also there's basically no physical defense in this build.

A useable build would be like, Brooch > Glad > Witchblade > Genji's > Spectral / Emp Armour > Bulwark / Pestilence

or Brooch > Blackthorn > Glad > Genji's > Spectral / Emp Armour > Spirit Robe / Pestilence

or Brooch > Golden > Glad > Genji's > Spectral / Emp > Spirit Robe / Pesti > Sell Golden Blade late for a damage item.
