You can also start boots 1 (more potions) boots 2 (fewer potions). Each start has its own pros and cons, but they're all viable.
You also don't have to buy Chalice of Healing, I buy it because Isis is extremely weak early game (like setting up purple for your adc gets her to half health) and I feel like I get more value from a chalice rather than spam buying healing pots or backing to base all the time.
The only reason there is Sentinel's Boon rather than Embrace in this build is to show that you can build either. Since the nerf to Embrace, I've seen people building even amounts of Embrace/Boon on all supports.
Isis' passive fully stacked gives her 10% CDR so you only need 30% CDR at most (but this would still be overcapping it with the red potion)
Isis' passive fully stacked also gives 20 HP5 + 20 MP5 to herself and allies within 40 units of her.
Her 3, Dispel Magic has a slow, a silence, a debuff, and a shield to allies that all increase each time you level it. That is why you max it first.
The stun on her 2, Spirit Ball does not increase with leveling, which is why you max it last.
Her ultimate, Circle of Protection has a 20% damage mitigation at all levels. It also heals allies and damages enemies when you detonate it - this scales as you level it. Her ultimate should be used in teamfights, to save allies, and to kill big objectives like Gold Fury + Fire Giant. When to detonate her ultimate depends on why you threw it down in the first place. If it's for damage, detonate it before the enemy leaves. If it's for mitigation, leave it up unless you or an ally is extremely low health and you need to detonate it for the healing.
I have been playing a lot of Isis support lately. In my very humble opinion, she is definitely a viable support option, up there with other mages like Nox + Baron Samedi.
Something I have noticed with Isis is that she isn't the best frontline, given that she is a mage - her base health at level 20 is 1725, a good ~700 hp lower than most guardians.
As an example, using the first build on Isis gives her 2475 health, 283 physical protections + 268 magical protections.
Using the same build on a guardian, Athena in this case, gives her 3250 health, 304 physical protections + 268 magical protections.
Do with this information what you will!
I have been experimenting with building her more hybrid/utility-oriented since she gets hurt fairly easily even going full tank and having some magical power makes her ultimate a lot better in teamfights.
I'm going to say now that I'm not confident these builds are the best builds for her, because I am still playing her and trying out different items. (Like I think Ethereal Staff or Gem of Isolation could work well but I haven't put them into a build yet)
In conclusion, this isn't really a guide because I'm not really qualified to say what you should or shouldn't be building. The only reason I'm publishing this is because I'm interested in hearing other peoples thoughts on potential builds for Isis support.
