Ymir isn't a fast guardian, we all know that. But he is still a strong guardian to pick, he is a real bully in lane and a threat in team fights. If your an aggressive player and support Ymir can be the god for you. The walls and the freezes are aggressive abilities. Those abilities are your enemies worst nightmare and you teammates best friends.
This build for Ymir will make you very tanky. Because you dont need to do a lot of damage. I chose the shoes of focus for the extra cooldown and mana. You want the cooldown on Ymir for his wall and his freeze. As second item I chose Hide of the Urchin. It gives health, mana and it can stack up to 65 protections for magical and physical. You can skip Hide of the Urchin if you want and go straight in to the rest of the build so you can buy Breastplate of Valor later. As 3rd and 4th item I chose Sovereighty and Heartward Amulet. Those two items will give you and your teammates 30 protections each. While giving you health and 30 protections. As 5th I chose Magi's Blessing, this is very important. If you put down a wall and want to freeze the enemy, you are not able to get stunned. So you can walk forward and freeze your enemies so your teammates can finish them. As last item I chose Winged Blade, this in combination with Magi's Blessing keep you movin' in those tricky situations or for those setup freezes.
Feel free to make some adjustments in your own build.
I like to do the 3 first for the extra setup. your teammates will have extra time to follow up. the wall as second upgrade is nice, you dont need the damage, because your a support and the wall can block off enemies in the jungle and maybe even in lane. the other 2 skills dont matter that much. You can choose for the 2 and dont damage mor often, or you upgrade the ult and do more damage with that.
Someone asked me about this, so i will explain why I choose Magi's blessing. I choose magi's blessing because the counter to Ymir is Crowd Control. Magi's Blessing gives a little bit of protections and a bunch of health, but the most important thing is the passive, it gives CC immunity every 70 seconds. It really helps if you can just walk up to your enemies without getting cc'ed, Ymir's biggest counter. With Magi's Blessing you can pull of your Freeze easier. And that is the moest important thing about Ymir in my opinion.
Pros
-Great CC
-Nice damage
-Bully in lane early game
-Great teamfighter
Cons
-Low mobility
-Mana problems early game
-Accidental troll with his wall

If you prefer, your start can incorporate 8 total potions (I'm guessing you know thisi), which can elongate the time you stay out before your first back.
I have no general issue with the build as a whole, though I do find Magi's Blessing a bit of an interesting choice for a tank build.
Also, would like to see a bit of explanation on why you have your skill order the way you do. I'd say it's not really standard (which is okay, if you have good reasons behind it).
If you're looking to have this put in as a consideration for the Ymir contest, would suggest fleshing this guide out to a much greater degree, and consider learning at least some rudimentary BBcoding. If you ask nicely, there are plenty of people that should be willing to give you tips. If this is just for funsies, no problem as-is.
