Introduction

Sup! My name is Luks Aaron! My name tag is LuksDestiny.

ATTENTION

The first build is not "my" build but the socond one IS mine, thanks to the guy who made the
first build, it helped me alot!

(You just changed 2 items)

The 2 items that I changed can make your crit% go to 40 and your life steal can heal you more than 200 every hit you make make in minions and gods, and you can heal whenever you want, you can go practice with Thanatos in "PRACTICE" and clicking in "Jungle".
You will be healed everytime someone hit you by hitting them back.

(TIPS)

You don't need to rush you just need to hit the enemy with "Death Scythe" making a huge impact in his life, kill the minions to gain XP and when you finally have "Hovering Death"
unlocked you can make the combo sequence that I've made in the top(you can let the skills self upgrade by clicking "Auto Level Skills")

Don't even think about trying to kill 2 gods alone, If you feel lucky you can try but someone will kill you.

(Starting the Match)

If you're playing in Conquest you can wait for the minions in the XP CAMP and get the SPEED BUFF, in the

Pros / Cons

(Pros)

+ Death Scythe: Can heal you 10% or 5% depending of you level
+ Scent of Death: Increases agility and damage for 5 seconds
+ Soul Reap: Best choise to kill minions
+ Hovering Death: Good for escapes when health is low

(Cons)

- Thanatos can be shut down if caught in a ult
- Long-ish cooldowns
- Enemy's attention will be in you

Creeping / Jungling

People say that only because Thanatos is a assasin he is a jungler,
if you think like that you're WRONG,this build can make Thanatos a Overpowered jungler also a Tank.

If you're going to be a jungler you must becareful with another junglers like:

(TIPS)
Try not going alone in the jungle if you have one of these gods as a enemy.
Don't look only foward aways see if you can see name tags, skulls and enemies with anyone to help them.

Team Work

(Team Work)

As a assasin you must mark you presence in lanes, when possible try going to the other lanes, don't woory with you don't get the kill it will assist the god of the lane.

Video by: XtremePyroSonic showing how team work is OP.

Match Results

Arena: If you're the best they will try to kill you with everything.

Siege: Team work is everything.

Don't see this as a way I back up this whole guide, but I can't let myself agree on some points you saying.

I agree on everything but that sentence. He may stated it a bit vague but it isn't skill description but Pros & cons. You use Hovering Death to secure a kill, smash in a lane gank (like thor) or escape a bad situation. Maybe I misunderstood you (you say never use never use hovering death as escape). But if you have the choice of dying or using your ult as escape I go for ult as escape.

PyroMana wrote:

and if you dont know a jungle route, than don't make a guide on the most fragile jungler in the game.

I again agree on the beginning and it needed more detail. but this part. I could slam you on the head with thor's hammer for this. In jungling there is no route. the beginning is pretty standard getting red or speed and then blue for solo stay some waves in his lane and then go farming and ganking. Only the beginning is something for the other jungling route stuf it doesn't exist because you need to help/gank/farm where possible.

Also thanathos fragile. He is only fragile when he gets shut down early otherwise he will be dominating. if thanathos would be so fragile then why does he makes a pretty good counter jungler. he can with good awareness be devastating for an enemy jungler. If they meet each other in early game throw a Death Scythe to his head Soul Reap and just start hack ans slashing away at him is just devastating. because thanathos can heal himself with 1 he gains an advantages in the start of the fight being devastating for most junglers if they won't get assisted.

A few things that could do a lot to improve this guide:
1. Skills. For Thanatos, it is widely accepted that Hovering Death is your No. 1 priority, for obvious reasons, followed by Death Scythe or Soul Reap (which should be taken first), depending on player preference. Scent of Death is therefore last. Hovering Death is by NO means your go-to escape, especially when low on health.
2. Playstyle. There are a lot of different ways in which you can build and play Thanatos. Granted, most of them have many similarities, but generally you tend to play lifesteal or heavy burst. A bit of detail regarding playstyle would be good for a new player. Making bold claims like 'This build can make thanatos a tank' need some SERIOUS justification. Also, jungling is about much more than 'take xp and speed camps.' Go into detail, and if you dont know a jungle route, than don't make a guide on the most fragile jungler in the game.
3. Items. Honestly, learn your items. No point copy-pasting someone elses build and then throwing Frostbound Hammer in it. Not much help for anyone, new or old to the game.
4. Spelling and grammar. Look, I know it seems trivial but correct english make it a lot easier to take the guide seriously.
I know it's harsh, but this is why UA players with a few mastery should not make god guides without some real experience, experimentation, and refinement.

yes that's possible but I only have 1 mastery on most of my owned gods. so I'm not feeling experienced enough for making a guide on one

I'm planning too but I just need to get to lvl 30 so I won't get owned in it so I will stay by criticizing guides (It's more fun anyway). That's easier because I'm not that good add bbcodes. I kniow how to make and Transcendence but that pretty much is it

and partially yes but only after you reacted

Your statement is vague.

Frostbound doesn't give any crit chance (learn your items or make better/clearer statements).

Thanathos doesn't need to be a jungler he can play adc too. but mostly he is played in the jungle. so then he is jungler. I haven't test tank/support but I don't find it suiting for him.

The skill sequence isn't finished so I think it was a prioritize sequence. making the guide vague because it isn't described.

There are a lot more thanathos guides just put your search on expired too and you will see.

For this guide to be good it needs to be understandable and imo it isn't it was vague and your statement made it even more vague .

I will stay by my statement that he also can easily beat Fenrir Arachne Loki and he can easily 2v1 in mid-late when played right.

I made this guide to show people the correct way to play with Thanatos most of them make him a JUNGLER so I made the build better.
But the build don't have much protection.

SheriffTurtle

Both of the builds can be used as a way to make Thanatos a JUNGLER, BUT the second one is my strategy for arena and conquest.
Like I said in the guide:"you can make the combo sequence that I've made in the top(you can let the skills self upgrade by clicking "Auto Level Skills").

Devampi

There are only 3 guides(including this), Frostbound Hammer can make your crit chance% go to 40 and also you can heal 200hp per attack (you can't heal with Hovering Death).

Devampi (105) | July 1, 2014 11:48pm
I'm going to agree with the person above me. Frostbound Hammer is a pretty bad item in the game and with your 2 you get a movement speed boost.

This guides misses some thing (even some bbcoding it is there but could be much more) like item description. Also thanathos is very OP in the jungle and can easily kill the enemy jungle (even Fenrir Arachne or Loki when played well).

I don't agree with you skill order at all. thanathos early game farming skill is it's 3 and his 1 has a sustain. So you can better prioritize it this way: 4-3-1-2

SherriffTurtle (3) | July 1, 2014 8:37pm
It looks good, but I recommend not using Frostbound Hammer, it's not a good item. The skill order is iffy too, I think It's better to max your ulti, then your 1, then your 3, then your two. The guide itself is a bit lacking lengthwise as well, but for the length it's definitely a decent guide.
