Introduction

This is my guide to Thor post Bacchus patch.Thor is a very underrated god i feel that with the changes to his hammerang he will be a bit more popular.

Summary

Thor is an amazing god his early game is nigh unstoppable with his passive. He is a very underestimated god and most people don't know how to use his kit. The biggest issue i see when facing other Thor's is that they either can't hit their hammers or the focus on the spin move. Granted it isn't the easiest skillshot to hit in the game. The early move speed from the heartseeker and the lvl 1 celerity.

Another thing i see a lot of other Thor's do is try to get attack speed items. I've found that Thor isn't very reliant on attack speed with his wall slow and his hammer teleport and his ult he can stay in melee range for quite some time.

Pros/Cons

Pros

Ridiculous early game
Great escape stopper
Great lane clearing ability
With practice can be easy to snowball lane
can be very supporting even when full DPS
Anubis Thor lane will get first blood 11/10 times

Cons
Somewhat squishy
Slow escape
hard to overcome a losing lane
High skillcap god

Items

Heartseeker
1950
+25 Physical Power
+10% Movement Speed

You gain +1 Physical Power per stack, and receive 5 stacks per player kill and 1 stack per minion kill. All stacks are lost on death (max 60 stacks).
Good for early damage, helps snowball, fairly high risk to lose stacks until you get past FBH in the build.

Boots of Celerity
1900
+28% Speed while in combat / 40% Speed while out of combat (speed does not stack with other boots).

Great mobility helps hit your hammers.

Devourer's Gloves
2400
+30 Physical Power
+10% Physical Lifesteal

You permanently gain +.5 Physical Power and +.25% Physical Lifesteal per stack and receive 5 stacks per player kill and 1 stack per minion kill (max. 40 stacks).
Good item by itself works well getting early because of the stacks making it stronger than most AD items and it needs stacks

Frostbound Hammer
2350
+25 Physical Power
+325 Health

Your basic attacks reduce your target's movement speed by 35% for 2 seconds. Basic ranged attacks reduce by 15%.
Physical power, Health, chance to slow on hit whats not to love.

Titan's Bane
2050
+30 Physical Power
+45% Physical Penetration

Great item if facing tanks. if one or no tanks i would go for Quin's Blades

Deathbringer
3150
+50 Physical Power
+20% Critical Strike Chance
+50% Critical Strike Damage

A must towards the end of any Physical gods build

Quin's Blades
2650
+30 Physical Power
+150 Health
+25% Attack Speed

On basic attack hits, there is a 30% chance to deal magic damage equal to 10% of the target's maximum health. This only affects gods.
A good item to replace Titan's Bane if they are lacking on tanks.

Warrior Tabi
2150
+30 Physical Power
+6% Attack Speed
+6% Critical Strike Chance

+21% Speed (speed does not stack with other boots).
Not recommended for experienced Thor's.

Skills

Try to pretend like these aren't the names

Come At Me Bro

- Thor gains 20 physical power for each enemy god within 30 feet. Stacks up to 3 times.

AMAZING PASSIVE. Great early game and still very solid late game

Hammerang

- Thor throws Mjolnir forward, doing 50/80/110/140/170 (+30% of your physical power) physical damage to all enemies in its path outward and half that damage on its way back. Enemy gods hit by the throw take double damage if hit on the return as well.
Cost: 70/75/80/85/90 mana.
Cooldown: 14s.

With the hammerang hitting twice it will be the most devastating skill in your arsenal. The teleport added onto it can be a great escape or chaser. If used for chasing its very important to wait for the second hit of the hammer if they are in range if out of range aim for max range.

Slam The Yard

Thor slams his hammer on the ground, causing a fissure to appear in front of him, instantly slowing enemies by 20 / 25 / 30 / 35 / 40% for 3s. One second after the slam, spikes erupt from the fissure causing blocking movement for 4s.
Cost: 75 mana.
Cooldown: 17 / 16 / 15 / 14 / 13s.

Great slow, great ganking initiate, if u miss it you can still dmg people on the other side

Hammerstorm

Thor spins his hammer around him, doing 20 / 40 / 60 / 80 / 100 (+25% of your physical power) physical damage every .4s for 2s. Thor is immune to knockup and slows for the duration.
Cost: 70 / 75 / 80 / 85 / 90 mana.
Cooldown: 13s.

VERY IMPORTANT: most Thor's use this right after the hammerang, MISTAKE. Save for when they make a run for and drop a slow.

Ban Hammer

After a short buildup, Thor leaps into the air. While in the air, Thor can target a great distance away to come crashing down in the area, dealing 150 / 200 / 250 / 300 / 350 (+120% of your physical power) physical damage and stunning all enemies in the radius for 1.5s.
Cost: 80 / 90 / 100 / 110 / 120 mana.
Cooldown: 90s.

Great escape to keep your stacks. Great initiate. Great escape stopper. Use as needed

Early Game

Throw that hammerang. The damage your can do to other gods early game is amazing. Keep in mind that Thor's passive range ISN'T as long as his hammerang range. It's about half the range so if you can get the chance try to get in range to activate it. Go back the second you can get heartseeker with the exception of waiting fo the extra 450 for lvl 1 celerity

Mid Game

Play it safe until you finish both stacking items full stacked. Save your ult for escapes unless its a safe kill and u can back of still be full heath, and play it safe until your ult is up. once your stacks are all full you should have a good amount of survivability but your still never going to be an unsellable war machine using this build.

Late Game

Being good late game takes practice its somewhat reliant on doing well in early and mid game. Save your ult for initiating and chasing people other gods wont be able to get. Don't waste it on killing someone who is getting ulted and will die no matter what. Thor is a high skill cap god so practice makes perfect.

Conclusion

Please leave any tips in the comments section i plan on added more about team comps team fights ganking strats and other fun stuff. Have fun dropping the Ban Hammer

Ya................ this is not a guide. It has TWO sections: Pros and cons as well as skills. That is just not enough. Even if it is a first draft if you will. It is not a guide and should not be called a guide. Just put some effort in to your guide and it should be good.

because i read the patch notes and they are taking out ankh of the golam and that required me to change multiple items in my old build. so i decided to make a guide so it could be closer to finished by the time the patch hits
