Hello everyone. I am Lonestar1499. This is my second build (and I have found to be a bit more successful, too) for Loki. In this guide, I am going to teach you how to safely and effectively get those kills. Please note that this is an arena build. It may also work for other game modes but it's intent was for arena. If you have found any faults or improvements for this build, please comment them below. I love hearing your feedback. As always, if you see me on the battlefield, make the better player win.
Insanely quick kills
Decent leveling
Can direct enemy minion traffic
Looks badass with the Infiltrator skin
Looks like from the movies with the Ssslither skin
Very squishy
Not the fastest cooldown speed (could fix with Jotunn's Wrath
Can easily mess up with Assassinate
Instadeath (almost always) if trapped and vulnerable
Warrior Tabi Come on. Do I really have to explain this?
Titan's Bane Massive penetration ( ͡ ͜ʖ ͡) which is amazing for your abilities. Especially your Ultimate, Assassinate.
Rage This item increases your critical hit chances, which is nice for those last few hits you need to finish off that kill.
Deathbringer Remember Rage and how it really increases crit hits? Well this increases the chance more (not as much) and it also increases the damage of them, causing less hits to get that kill.
Qin's Sais I've heard debates between this item and The Executioner on which is better. I personally like this one more. I just feel that this one really fits in better (Sais are like knives so why not?). I feel that there is more damage output from this item.
Hydra's Lament More basic attack damage after using an ability? Yes please. This really makes you kill enemies within 2-3s.
Magi's Blessing I wouldn't use this very often but if you MUST use it, then use it. It prevents against a strong CC attack (like Neith's abilities) but must recharge for 90s.
Bloodforge and Soul Eater are two great lifesteal items. Like Magi's Blessing use only in certain situations.
Behind You! Loki's passive ability allows for more damage as long as you strike an enemy's back. Keep this in mind whenever you plan your attacks.
Vanish This ability turns Loki invisible for a short while, increases movement speed, and causes a bleeding effect on a single target from a basic attack. Use this ability to initiate an attack, escape a sticky situation, or intimidate an enemy.
Decoy One of my personal favorites. This creates a decoy of you (Duh) and attracts minions towards it. After a few seconds, it explodes causing damage to all in the circle. I have done a few wonders with this ability including stealing a jungle camp and killing a few enemy gods. Hit me up if you want to hear the story about stealing the jungle camp.
Aimed Strike This ability deals additional damage on his next basic attack and also slows the enemy. I told you they weren't getting away.
Assassinate, Loki's Ultimate ability. This ability will teleport you to an enemy god and backstab them, which will stun them and allow you to ham it out on them. This can also be used as an escape route from sticky situations as well, but ONLY in extreme need.
Note: I have killed several gods from full health using this technique.
I found that the absolute best strategy to use this goes as followed:
1. Get near enough to use your Ult on an enemy god
2. Activate Aimed Strike
3. Activate Assassinate on prefered god
4. Slice and dice (this triggers Aimed Strike and Hydra's Lament)
5. Use Vanish to get the Hel out of there
6. Rinse and repeat (recall back if you need mana or health)
It helps to have a friend on your side. When playing Loki, try to assist friendly gods in need or even avenge their death if you can (they will appreciate it). When in a pickle, try to serpentine away from combat until either Vanish is up or an ally can help you out.
Another thing. Don't kill steal. That will make people not like or want to help you.
Try to play with a friend if you can. Communicate and help each other out.
If you must jungle, I recommend using either the mana or damage camp. The attack speed camp is nice but leave that for your hunter allies.
At the start of the game, if you want the camps, push left. If you want to attempt to pick off an enemy, sneak towards right. I've noticed that players who want camps tend to go towards the left (they want the mana camp ASAP) therefore, if they aren't at mid, they most likely are on your right side camps.
Thank you for checking out my guide and may it serve you well. Upvote if it was helpful, and feel free to comment below your ideas, thoughts and/or concerns below. I play SMITE on Xbox One so if you see me, feel free to say hello. By the way, my gamertag is the same as my name. I hope you can be as Loki as I am while playing Loki. Have a good one!

Here we see yet another one ability based god build scheme with the Rage + Deathbringer combo.I know that Loki has a progressive auto-attack sequence, but that does not mean he could go full AA mode.
Guys in Smite it will either ability base build schemes or Auto-Attack ones.
Not a little of both worlds.
That is the reason why Loki or Thor or any other Ability Based god will never use a life-steal item.Life-steal and Critical hit items are HEAVILY dependent on basic attack speed, not burst, raw ability power.
That is also why you don't also need lifesteal or attack speed on your build scheme.
Loki is an abilty burst god:He kills squishy gods with 1-hit when, the Assassinate + Aimed Strike combo kicks in for example. It literally takes 1-hit,providing that you will equip the Trickster God with the adequate items that is,to finish of a weakling such as Anubis or Ne-Zha,rarely 2 or 3 hits.
I'll have you know, I have solo'd tanky gods like Odin or Ymir with this build. I have found that it works, even if you don't agree.
You clearly don't have a colorblind friend, otherwise you would know these 2 colors are not a good match.
I can agree with that, but what is with the coloring of your text?
It's because i thing it's the best for the eye on a pitch dark background, heh.
But please tell me if it is annoying somehow,I would gladly like to try something else,I just don't like that booooring white ;)
