Introduction

Greetings all, I've been playing Smite for a while and have tested many gods out but a god I can thoroughly enjoy to play is definitely Hades. You can build him really well so he is hard to kill while pumping out quite a bit of damage.

Odin The Allfathers Lore
Inevitably, death sends eveyone to Hades, God of the Underworld. In the end, he always gets his way.

Eldest son of the Titans Cronus and Rhea, Hades was swallowed by his father as an infant along with five other siblings. Zeus, the youngest brother, escaped this fate and freed them once he'd grown strong enough to battle Cronus. Together, the six siblings defeated the Titans and banished them to the dark realm of Tartarus. Now the reigning Gods, Seus, Poseidon, and Hades drew lots for dominion. Hades drew the Underworld.

Of the few that have entered the Underworld and come back, all speak dismally of the place, never wishing to return. Yet Hades, himself, rarely leaves the subterranean realm, constantly seeking ways to grow the numbers of the dead.

When he desired a wife, Hades captured the radiant Persephone, daughter of the Goddess Demeter. Concealed in the Underworld, none could reach her, so Demeter cursed the land with great famine. The other Gods pleaded with her to end it lest she destroy mankind, but she would not relent until her daughter was returned. Hades finally let Persephone leave, though not before feeding her pomegranate seeds. Having consumed the fruit, she was required to return to her husband once per year to eat of the seeds again. This, it said, is a time of mourning and the cause of winter.

While many fear death and view it as evil, in truth, Hades endeavors only to keep balance. He is stern but fair. As God of the Dead and the Underworld, he views his authority on this matter absolute, forbidding anyone to leave his realm and growing wrathful when disobeyed or when someone tries to cheat death or steal from him.

For everyone, death is unavoidable and service to Hades inevitable. Even the gods.

Skills

Blight
Key Bind: Passive

Hade's normal staff attacks apply a debuff to the enemy, called Blight. This debuff stays on the target for 5 seconds and can be refreshed. If an enemy is affected by Blight, each of Hades' other powers have an additional effect.

Cost: 50 / 55 / 60 / 65 / 70 mana.

Cooldown: 12 s.
_________________________________________________________________________________________Shroud of Darkness

Cooldown: 15 / 14 / 13 / 12 / 11 s.
_________________________________________________________________________________________Devour Souls

Hades devours the souls of his enemies in a radius around him, doing 75 / 110 / 145 / 180 / 215 (+60% of your magical power) magical damage.

If the enemy is Blighted, the enemy explodes, doing up to 20 damage to nearby enemies and healing your allies for 30/40/50/60/70 within 20 feet of the exploding target.

Cost: 65 / 75 / 85 / 95 / 105 mana.

Cost: 100 mana.

Cooldown: 90 s.

How to Hades

Initiating

When entering a team fight, gank or just a 1v1 you ALWAYS enter the fight with Death From Below. This ability will apply Blight onto your opponents for you so you don't need to auto hit them, though you can if desired.

Escaping

When you require to make an escape or take a step back you should firstly use Shroud of Darkness to silence them and maybe stun them if they have Blight on them, followed by using Death From Below to get a head start to your escape, doing it through a wall is always helpful.

Team Fights
After you drop in the fight with Death From Above you can either use Shroud of Darkness to give yourself and your team a little advantage in the fight, Devour Souls to give yourself and your team a nice little heal, or Pillar of Agony to destroy the enemy team due to the factor you will be reducing their resistances.

Summary

I hope you found this Smitefire God Guide helful. Please do not downvote without presenting your issue. If you have any suggestions you are more than welcome to express them in the comments section. Thank you for taking the time to read and look over my build. Have a nice day.

Alright....

1- Starting off with a penetration item is a waste. You want to start with something that will make you mechanically better, like Boots of the Magi or Book of Thoth

2- Void Stone is good, however for penetration I would suggest Spear of the Magus. Personal preference

3- Polynomicon??? Are you serious? Yeah it gives power and mana, but its passive is usless on Hades. there are much better items than that.

4- Warlock's Sash at the end?? No. building those stacks is key to your damage, so you need them as soon as possible. Buy this early in game instead of late.

Have you looked at Ethereal Staff? This is one core item for any damage Hades, and Book of Thoth is also very powerful. I buy these and boots before anything else.

i literally created a account to tell people that this guys DPS build is complete **** Hades is my god of choice and this guy clearly does not use him right. two thumbs down for this garbage build.

explain why?
Everyone has their opinions but don't create a toxic community by flaming on someone's guide without constructive criticism. I notice this guide is lacking, but it DOES have merit. Polynomicon is good for a 1-AA-2-AA-3-AA combo. Spear is amazing on Hades's ult. Voidstone nice pickup. Sash still makes him tanky. Etc.

Explain before you complain.

Pair this build on the left lane with an aphro and you have an unbeatable combo.

Love your guide, I almost always build Hades tank, and I get as far as finishing hide (maybe) before the enemy surrenders, I was laning solo against an agni and an anubis and I went 8-0.

Still not sure why he has Mystical Mark and Warlock's Sash last though. I usually get those first (with boots of course) for the health boost, and it seems like the passives on the other items are better for the late game anyways.

I do a ton of chasing with Hades since my team doesn't often have good mobility, so I really like grabbing boots on him. I can see why they wouldn't be necessary in teamfights tho. Really good guide, I use modified versions of the builds here and stomp every match. Haven't lost with Hades yet.

Why would you get Warlock Sash last and not second or third? They would be very useful in the laning and mid game phase, where killing minions is the name of the game.

Maybe you mistaken the "first ulti" with his third or something?
