Firstly, this is not a guide - just a build. Anubis is one of my favorite mages, and one of my highest ranked gods. Conquest builds I'm sure will vary but i don't play conquest. I build him this way because I know I can burst people down faster than they can kill me - generally speaking. With lifesteal I tend to play rather aggressively and turn to fight rather than run because Anubis has no escapes only has the option to fight.
I level my wrap second because it increases the stun duration, meaning I have longer to burst someone down. My 3-2-4 combo can generally finish off most gods, even tanky ones! My 1 is just additional damage to use whilst my ult is down but I find it more dangerous as you need to be much closer to your target.
I hope you get the same enjoyment out of him with this build as I do.

Pros
+Highest burst damage in the game (i think)
+Easy damage combo
+Long range stun
+Terrifying when given an early lead - Snowballs out of control
Cons
-No escape
-Has to stand still during 2 abilities - Sitting duck
-Long cooldowns
-Beads and magi's blessing effectively ruin your damage combo
This build may not be the best but I like it and wanted to share it with you. The lifesteal allows you to box with others very effectively. Cooldown is a must for him too. As mentioned, this build may not work in conquest, I haven't tried! Goes down a treat in arena, clash, assault, siege and joust though!
With this I bring death.

Do you have any particular order to the items built?? I usually go boots, damage, lifesteal, pen/cooldown, then damage on any of my builds for all my gods unless i rush Book of Thoth or warlock's sash. Of course, that is if my team is winning. Any thoughts???
EDIT: Also, any thoughts on starting item set up??? Usually with magi i go Vampiric Shroud + soul reliquary for Book of Thoth rush but I won't be doing that with Anubis so any thoughts???
I almost always get Bancroft's talon as soon as I can. Because I don't start with boots I play quite passively because I know I can't outrun anyone early game. If i'm feeling brave I sometimes get chrono's pendant next. Cooldown+lifesteal = scary early game but leaves you without movement speed for a long time. Depends on your play style. I like to stand and lifesteal early game, people don't expect it! Then again, I tend to play more casual game types than conquest so builds may differ for that.

most people start with getting Bancroft's Talon T2 as with goobis passive it's gives him a really nice amount of sustain.

@overld1, I appreciate your kind words but I quite like those two items on him. Polynomicon because when my abilities are on cooldown it gives me something else to throw at them, especially if the are low on health. Also, the extra lifesteal means i can stand in my 3+1 combo and out last anyone attacking me. You're probably right about the extra damage though. As for spear, I prefer it because it work better on gods with "tick" damage. That said, there is probably very little difference. Thanks for the comments chaps, much appreciated.
Hate to ask but I'm definitely not a pro but I just wrote my first short guide and would love some feedback.
Apologies, but anyhow, great guide man.
