Many of you might remember me as the legendary player "PlsBuyDust" from the early beta. Unfortunately, due to life commitments I had to quit Smite shortly before the official release. After almost a full year of absence, I'm back and better than ever!
Out of all the new gods that have been added, Xbalanque was definitely the stand out for me. I have won several 1 v 5 games with him with a win rate of 86%. Having played close to a 100 hours on this god, I can assure you that I'm one of the most experienced players on him and have tested several builds over a long period of time to establish the most optimal one.
I won't keep you waiting anymore, lets dive in!
Xbalanque is, at heart, a glass-canon physical damage dealer. He gets rapidly stronger as the game goes on thanks to his skills. His passive, Dead of Night, helps him snowball into the lategame as it grants him permanent bonus damage as he kills enemies. His other skills help him use those extra stats to deal a huge amount of damage rapidly to multiple enemies.
The correct competitive way to utilize Xbalanque is by using his spells on the enemy team. A veteran Xbalanque will use his spells and kill enemy gods.

Your build is incomplete. You are missing a replacement for Death's toll. Missing a second active.
Skill order seems kind of off.
You lack any sections. Except the one that says to use his spells on the enemies to kill them. No wonder I do so bad, I've been using them on my teammates.
I would give this a -2/10.
I just want to call attention to the sentence
"A veteran [...] will use his spells and kill enemy gods"
NO FREAKING WAY
"Many of you might remember me as the legendary player "PlsBuyDust""
lolnope
It misses so much for a guide (for a build too).
I miss:
skill explanation
Game play
Teamwork
combo's
pros & cons
A full build
A possible skill order
Simple BB coding
Out of your build title you say too put this in auto-build (which will now build the pre-made auto build).
I can't say I disagree on your build.
It has the crit combo (I prefer Malice over Rage but that's me Rage is good too).
Asi good item too.
Heartseeker good item too but also risky you could have put in a less riskier item for newer players.
well Warrior Tabi can't disagree on that that much.
Death's Toll great starter item.
6th item: were is it I don't see a substitute for Death's Toll
actives: sprint good, but where are the other great actives for him?
(because Xbalanque can be pretty mana hungry I mostly put a Transcendence on him)
well as I already say the skill order is impossible (beginning isn't but the end). I also disagree on prioritizing. You prioritize his Branching Bola this is a nice trick too throw through minions too hit gods but at the start of the game you won't do as much damage with your bola's then with your Poison Darts Rising Jaguar combo.
Also it's a lot better to get your first lvl in your ultimate when it's possible so getting it at lvl 5. because it can be a great help too your team when someone needs to escape or mask a gank.
now your last statement. I agree with it. you need to know how and when is the best too toggle Branching Bola and when you can get more out of it. This is the same for the combo because using your escape is risky.
I hope you planned on improving this guide/build with the criticism I gave. For now it's a -1 from me
