Hello, Welcome to my Thanatos guide. Thanatos is one of the easiest gods in the game, but can be nearly impossible to use late game, if you do not build him correctly.
Thanatos is one of the squishiest gods in the game, and even though he has an exceptionally good early and mid game, he is almost certain to fall off late game.
If Thanatos is built correctly, i do believe he can be one of the strongest gods on the field.
This is my first guide, so feel free to give feedback
The first three items in my build, Ninja Tabi, Devourers Gauntlet, and Jotuun's Wrath, are pretty self explanatory, and you should buy them without question. Executioner may be switched with Qins sais, if the other team is not remotely bulky. The last two items in my build are key to keeping you viable late game. Most people will build crit items, like deathbringer, or rage. If you items like these, you will do damage, but you wont stay alive long enough to actually do anything. By Building items such as, Hide of the Urchin, or Shifters Shield, you give yourself some much needed defence, and you can get rid of Thanatos only true weakness.
Some of you may be wondering why I prioritized Death Scythe over Soul Reap. In my own experience, the most important thing about Soul Reap is its ability to silence for a second, so you can safely land Death Scythe, without them possibly escaping, and the lifesteal that comes with Death Scythe is more important for keeping you alive, as all of your abilities take away from your health. Going on, you should always use your abilities in the following order, Soul Reap -> Death Scythe -> Scent of Death, and if they are below you kill threshold and are escaping, finish them off with hovering death. By keybind that is 3 -> 1 -> 2/4.
Pros:
High sustain
Extremely high damage
Very powerful early game
One of the easiest god in the game
Built in bumbas mask as passive
Has AOE in attack progression
Makes good auto-attacker late game
Cons:
Requires being fed early
Extremely squishy
Can be entirely shut down by wards, and playing cautiosly
No true escape (excluding his ult)
Best initiator is also escape
Abilities fall off late game
Thanatos is extremely powerful early game, yet requires being fed to be functional mid to late game. Thus, it is important that Thanatos gank's a lot. As always, you should clear the two buffs on the side of the solo lane, and then lane with him/her until you reach level 3. at this point, you should be sure to clear mid camps, as they give more XP, and gank whenever you get the chance. if the enemy gods in a lane ever come out past about halfway, attack them from behind, starting with your 3 for the silence, and then your 1 for the slow, you will then be able to safely kill them by auto attacking. You can do this for the entire laning phase, as most people at a low level have not learned about wards, and the effect they can have on ganking. if this is done correctly, you should be able to reach level 20, while everyone else is level 15.
Thanatos is most likely the easiest jungle in the game, especially against new players, as they have not learned how to ward. He has without doubt the most powerful early game of any god in the game, and if used correctly, that momentum can be carried through the rest of the game. Thanatos does have risks associated with him, as he needs to be fed in order to fully function, and he is the squishiest jungle in the game, and ignoring his need for extra defence will make you entirely useless in a team fight. Have fun and thanks for reading!

However I would not say that Thanatos is a particularly 'easy' jungler. Yes he is crazy on those early ganks, and can clear camps well with his attack sequence, but late game Thanatos becomes one of the hardest assassins to use effectively.
Also, I like to buld Jotunns Wrath 2nd, as Thanatos is almost completely dependant on ability damage. Just a thought. Dev Gauntlet will still be finished by the time it becomes useful.
I would like to see you flesh out the guide a bit more.
