Canceling this ability before leaping will not trigger its Cooldown.

Ability Type: Mount, Leap
Damage: 80 / 135 / 190 / 245 / 300 (+80% of your Physical Power)
Movement Speed: 30%
Strafe Penalty: 30%

Awilix flips over the last enemy she hit within 1.5s, rooting, crippling, and dealing damage as she passes over them. The damage dealt is modified based on the next attack in Awilix's basic attack progression. If the next attack is her third attack, then she also hits all targets in the area around her.

Ability Type: Leap

This guide is out of date, and I will not be updating it further. For further explanation check my blog (Click here!)

I'm keeping this guide up for the time being for reference. Please check out the other wonderful Awilix guides for the most up to date information.

Introduction

Hey everyone! I'm OMGASIA, casual Smite addict. While I know how to enjoy all casual game modes, I mostly play Joust and Arena. I’ve decided to start getting basic guides up for new Gods as they are released so there is a starting point for players who weren’t able to test them on the PTS. This isn't meant to be a definitive end all be all on Awilix . This is the way I've enjoyed playing her so far, and possibly others will enjoy as well!

Here she is, Awilix !

The New Changes And You! (2/12/15)

Season 2's patch has brought a few changes to Awilix, as well as the entire game. With a new UI, new and changed items, god changes, and even a new Conquest map, you may feel overwhelmed! To read all the changes click here!

Here is your single Awilix specific change.

Feather Step

  • Can now backflip over pets.

I haven't had time to look over the item changes yet. I plan on updating itemization if needed after I've had a while to look into them and mess around with them :)

1/14/15 Changes (Hou Yi Patch)

Pros and Cons

Pros:
  • Extremely mobile

  • Great single target damage

  • Versatile enough to be a good asset in team fights

  • Suku is super cute!
Cons:
  • Can be Squishy

  • Maximizing her potential requires a bit more focus/experience than some other gods

  • Susceptible to CC

  • Those earrings would HAVE to be easy to pull on and do at least some damage, right? They're huge!

Skills

Basic Attacks

Awilix's basic attacks have an extended melee range, but a reduced targeting cone. This means the area you can strike is longer and thinner. If you use the in game targeting system it will still be reflected properly.

Thanks for taking the time to read my guide. As I play more I will add more to the guide. I am also willing to hear your constructive criticism as well as suggestions! It will help improve this guide, and in turn help out other players.

Updates

4/29/15

  • Updated Other Guides section

2/12/15
  • Updated guide for yesterday's patch.

1/14/15
  • Brought guide up to date with today's changes.

1/13/15
  • Added Hou Yi to Other Guides section.

1/9/14
  • Added Incoming Changes section.
  • Edited information on Feather Step in Skills section to reflect a bug fix. Using abilities does NOT advance Awilix's basic attack chain to the second, it was an error in the ground indicator.

1/7/15
  • Updated Suku-Sassin! build. Thanks again Greenevers!
  • Cleaned up the Items section with drop down menus for readability.
  • Added a new Helpful Hint to Gravity Surge in the Skills section.
  • Renamed Who Needs Lifesteal Anyway? to It's Super Effective! With only one lifesteal build it was silly to keep the old name. Plus we now have two Pokemon references. Yup. That happened.

1/3/15
  • Fixed a mistake in the Suku-Sassin! build listed up top. Build info and stats in the Build section were correct.
  • Added You Wanna Be Popular? as a build. This is the most popular build as of today.

Hey OmgAsia. With the release of Season 2 I've replaced Brawler's Beat Stick for The Crusher as part of my core build in my Awilix Guide. For relatively obvious reasons on your end. Just thought I might point that out if you want to change yours as well :)

Thanks for the heads up! It'll be a short while before I can get on and mess around with things to get the stats and whatnot, but I'll definitely pop it in. Thanks for the help :)

Great guide as always OmgAsia I honestly don't know why my Awilix guide is higher ranked than yours other than perhaps it's the most recently updated. I got a significant amount of the ideas for formatting my guide from you. Keep up the great work, you get an upvote from me!

Thanks for the upvote! Honestly, my guides are never intended on being the top guides or even the best guides. I just try to get something out ASAP that can help users who didn't have the chance to play on PTR. I also LOVE when guides aside from mine get popular. It means they have good content, and variation is always great. I'm glad my guide as able to help yours in the formatting department! Readability is definitely a plus for the users :D

Good of you to update the guide for S2, (and I know you stated that you still need to do this) but the items really need a rework. Qin's Sais for three of the builds is really becoming less viable, and the lack of it leaves a bit of a power gap.

Thanks! I just got a new job so everything on my end has been a little slower. The item changes will unfortunately take a fair amount of time as I haven't really been able to play much at all. I'll definitely be taking your advice, though!

Estidien wrote:

Agreed @Zilby In my original Awilix guide, I was extremely skeptical about including Qin's Sais, with the S2 update I've all but completely condemned it. I still stick with my claim of this being an excellent guide however.

Thank you! I can't lie, I generally only use one or two builds that I have on the guide, I just like offering variation for users.

Why do people get Brawlers as a core item on Awilix. I really think that's very situational. You dance over ADCs so they can't take their heals on you. I'd replace that for some Crit. DB or Rage.

The rest of the guide do is good. Understandable and pleasng to look at

Estidien beat me to it with his quote below.

Estidien wrote:

I answered this on my guide but I'll throw it on here as well. Brawler's Beat Stick isn't being picked for it's antihealing properties (Although they are quite useful sometimes). Awilix is quite the Ability based goddess and thus, the best way to build her is to work on increasing the damage those abilities do as soon as possible. This means penetration and physical power, something that Brawler's Beat Stick excels at providing.

This is exactly why I picked it. The anti healing is just an added perk.

Well, what can I say that hasn't been said already? This guide is just too great xD also very versatile, which I personally like.

And I agree, that Suku is just adorable xD

Aww thank you! I wouldn't say the guide is too great. I don't have enough conquest experience to be confident posting a section relating to that. There is always room to improve!!

And oh god yes. Suku is so freaking cute. I want one.

Sorry blunt, I typed this all out and then this ****ty India internet made the page time out when I posted ;(.

Anyways I meant to tell you before I went off on vacation but I come here again with a revised Awilix build! Before that I'll shortly tell you the y's. Building pure power/pen and one defense item (namely magi's blesssing), you severely outperform an Awilix building crit. The only reason you would buy crit is to enhance her flowy attack chain/progression. Which you can benefit from building some AS/Power items (exec./qin's).

Shifter's Shield is actually okay but I've been watching closely the last week (before last week so two weeks ago) and she shouldn't really be all that tanky. It's okay and actually could be a viable situational. The only assassin I think you should get Shifter's Shield on is Thor and maybe Hun Batz. Nemesis maaaybe but not really. Awilix is more like...

Warrior Tabi
Jotunn's Wrath
Brawler's Beat Stick
Qin's Sais / The Executioner
magi's blessing / Shifter's Shield / Witchblade
Titan's Bane / Rage

This^ is what's in for me on Awilix for now :). Also Brawlers is heavily underrated it's passive is superb. Essential for brawling (no pun intended)

Also thanks for including me in your credits thingamajig!

Oh noooo about the internet stuff! That happens everywhere sometimes. It totally sucks!

Thank you for the updates! I haven't been playing Awilix as much as I should be since I've been on a Nox kick. I really appreciate the help! I'll update the first build with this information for sure.

And of COURSE I'd give you credit! I'm using your build, why wouldn't I? Thank you so much for all your input. I'm really no assassin pro so it's great to have somebody who knows this stuff far better than I willing to share information. :)
