Bellona dashes forward and bashes with her shield, dealing damage and Slowing enemies. Bellona gains 1 Stack of block for each enemy god hit. Block absorbs all damage from a single Basic Attack and reflects a portion of the damage around her.

Bellona then makes Basic Attacks with sword and shield until she has not taken or dealt damage in the last 7s. Every 3 successful basic attacks she gains another Stack of block (max. 3).

Ability Type: Dash, Slow, Damage

Introduction

Hello, this is my first build guide. I'm a casual Smite gamer and I've recently been playing more and more Bellona, so i decided to do a guide for her.

Tips

When taking the first few jungle camps in the beginning of the game use your 3 and tank them for your jungler.
After the Heavy Hammer nerf you can no longer invade every game. Try to get Frostbound after your first 2 items.
Try to clear the archer minions as fast as possible and then harras the enemy solo laner.
When your opponents are easily invaded get Heavy hammer, a ward and a few health potions. If the invade succeeds go have fun snowballing.

Matchups

Easy
Bakasura-Bellona is the hardest counter to Bakasura. When he ults wait for the cc immunity to end and use your 3 on him.

Chaac-Just dodge his 1 and you pretty much win the matchup. When he ults you should ult on top of him so you dont take damage and dont get silenced.

Aphrodite-Overall an easy matchup. When she ults wait for the immunity to end and ult her.

Loki-I've never lost to him as Bellona. Your 1 negates most of his damage so when he goes invisible to try and harras you dash into him.

Hel-Build one healing reduction item such as Pestilence or Brawlers Beatstick

Medium
Guan Yu-He can easily keep you under tower, so try to push him out before he does.

Ah Puch(As of release day)-As of now you can't get close to him and when you do he ults. Winged Blade is necessary in this matchup.

Hades-If he plays correctly he can harras you and not let you get close. If he plays correctly he can make sure you never cast you 2. Beads or Sprint 2 are key.

Tyr-He can interrupt your 2 but isnt great at it since he loses his wave clear.

Chronos-Same problem you can have with Hades.

Hard
Hercules-Firstly he's ability based. Secondly he has two ways to interrupt your 2. Lastly he's a bit too tanky to harras. Request ganks from your jungler early.

Chang'e-She can easily harras you and heal off anything you try to do to her. Her 2 stops you from bursting her down. Overall a hard match up.

Mid/Late Game

When you get to around level 15-17 you should always stay with your shield and sword when fighting. By doing that you can 1v1 anyone. Use your scourge when the person you are fighting uses a steroid (Examples are Bakasura's 3, Artemis's 2, Mercury's 2 and so on) so they lose most of it and are easy to fight.

Pretty short guide, but I think you have made some suboptimal choices.
Solo is almost always kinda Boxing your laning enemy, so imo Runeforged/Ancile is core.
Your 1 also applies a slow so Frostbound isn't all that necessary so I would take Devourer's
(More survivability) Qin's is a really expensive item, and after all not that good, I'd take Ichaival. Asi is funny tho, combined with your 1 you can pretty much turn every boxing match. I'd switch Spirit Robe for Yotun's, more Pen, more damage and thanks to Runeforged/Ancile you have your protections. One last tip: Take Death's Toll as first item with HoG 2 and Skill your 2 first (Better Campclear/AoE Autoattacks).

The core thing for the build before Heavy hammer got nerfed was to invade, but if i dont invade i take deaths toll and HoG. Thanks for the tips though.
