Personal Introduction

Hey! My name is Choorpse! :)

Hey guys! My name is Choorpse and it's my first SmieFire guide. It's up since July 2, 2015. I'm a casual player who enjoys playing Scylla so much he played her 'til mastery level 10. Now i would rather concentrate on other gods too, but I don't want my knowledge to get wasted, so I decided to write my own guide about Scylla, since I didn't really find any good guides for her on SmiteFire. Hope you enjoy! :) NOTE: If you want some mentoring and personal help with Scylla, join my clan called Abyssal Rising.

Introduction for Scylla

Oops! Kali is in trouble. :')

The Cute Beast

Scylla is one of the best bursters in the game (better than Loki). Her passive and her abilities provide an insane amount of area damage. She has everything a god ever needs. She has stun ( Sic 'Em), pure damage ( Crush), escape( Sentinel), and a game changing ultimate( I'm a Monster). She is very squishy in early game, but if built and played properly, she can become the enemies' biggest fear in late game.

Pros / Cons

Items

STARTER

Vampiric Shroud: This item must be one of your starter items, because it gives you some sustain, which is extremely needed for early game. You also gain some power and MP5, so you can stay in lane.
Soulstone Soulstone: I didn't put this item in any of the builds above, but I see lots of people are buying it for Scylla. The passive of this item is really awesome and fits Scylla well, but the only problem with it is the following: it gives you no sustain. Vampiric Shroud wins over it because if you don't have any lifesteal you will die fast.
Lost Artifact: As I mentioned above, sustain and lifesteal are necessary when playing Scylla. This item gives you that extra lifesteal and power that will keep you in lane. Also you can build any lifesteal item from it later. Combine it with Vampiric Shroud and you have 40 Magical Power and an amazing early lifesteal when you go out from the fountain.
Aegis Amulet: An active as Starter? Yes, Sir. As I mentioned above I only recomend buying this against gods with deadly ults like Scylla, Poseidon and Thanatos. Just imagine playing Thanatos and jumping on someone with a death mark to get the Tower Dive, he uses his Aegis and you die. That's why you should buy it.

ITEMS

VS
SHOES OF THE MAGI VS. SHOES OF FOCUS

Warlock's Sash Warlock's Sash: Let's start stacking! What do you get if you use Warlock's Sash? Health, Power and Mana. In one word: Sustain. I like to get this right after Shoes, because I can stay in lane and get kills thanks to this nice item. If you have max stacks you gain 110 Magical damage. This is AWESOME! Using this item is recomended for beginner players, because it gives you sustain.
Book of Thoth: Scylla has some serious mana problems. To fix this, you can get this nice mana river. It also gives you 100 Magical Power and 125 Mana instantly! When you finish stacking you get 875 Mana from a single item. Also 3% of your Mana is converted into Magical Power wich means you get a total of 126 Magical Power from this item.I recomend this item for advanced players, because it doesn't give you any sustain.
Obsidian Shard: Penetration matters a lot. This item cobined with the Shoes of the Magis is AMAZING.You will see a HUGE damage increase on your Sic 'Em+ Crush combo.
Bancroft's Talon: This item gives you an amazing amount of Magical damage and Magical Lifesteal. It almost has everything Scylla needs. Also you get 1 Magical Damage for 1% of your missing HP. Buying this item is HUGELY recomended.
Chronos' Pendant: 75 Magical Power and 25% CDR. This item is perfect for Scylla. If you use Shoes of Focus and Chronos' Pendant together, you have 40% CDR. This is very cool in late game. Your enemies will cry when you use your ultimate so oftenly. So: Chronos' Pendant is a must have item for you.
Rod of Tahuti: I think I don't have to say much about this item. This is your ultimate item. Your destiny. You are the glass and this is your cannon. It has 125 Magical Power. This is cool. BUT! Its passive incerases your Magical Power by 25%! So it has 156 Magical Power with its own passive. This is INSANE! This is your last item only because of the price, but it's still a must have.
Gem of Isolation: This item is GREAT because it gives you both HP and Mana. Also the +70 Magical Power is cool. But the real reason to buy this is its passive. You can slow down your enemies' movement speed by 25%. This can give your team a huge advantage in teamfights. This item isn't core, but recomended.
Soul Reaver: This item brings some amazing things to the table. 100 Magical Power and 300 Mana. These are AMAZING, but its passive makes it one of the best items for Scylla {maybe the best lol}. You should always be careful to not to waste it, because it will help you when ganking duo lane and also in teamfights. This item is a MUST HAVE one.

ACTIVES

Aegis Pendant: I recomend using this active if you are facing a god like Poseion, He Bo or another Scylla. You can dodge their ultimates easily with this.
Purification beads: Buy this if there is an Ares in the enemy team. He is the only reason why you should buy this.
Hand of the Gods: I don't really recomend buying this. The only way to use it as Scylla is getting the steal on the Gold Fury or the Fire Giant. There is your ultimate too, so at the end of the day it doesn't really worth it.

Skills

Quick Learner

Each of Scylla's abilities gain an additional effect at max rank. In addition, Scylla gains 20 magical power for each max rank ability.
MY THOUGHTS

Sic 'Em

Scylla sends two hounds forward, damaging, rooting, and crippling the first enemy hit. At max rank, two additional enemies nearby the first target will also be hit.
MY THOUGHTS

Crush

Scylla creates a magical field that slows enemies. After 5s it detonates and causes damage. Scylla may activate the ability again to detonate it early. At max rank, enemies in the area also have their Magic Protection reduced, and targets hit by the damage are slowed for an additional 1s.
MY THOUGHTS

Sentinel

Scylla summons a sentinel to the target area, granting vision of enemies for 5s. Scylla may activate the ability again within 5s to move to the sentinel location. At max rank, the vision is granted through line of sight blockers, and placement range increases.
MY THOUGHTS

I'm a Monster

Scylla reveals her true nature, becoming CC (Crowd Control) immune for the next 6s, and gaining movement speed. She may make one powerful attack during this time. If she kills an enemy god with the attack, she gains another 6s and may attack again. At max rank, the movement speed bonus doubles.
MY THOUGHTS

It's time to combo!

If you have problems hitting Sic 'Em

Gank'em, Crush 'em, Kill 'em
Explanation

These are the skill comboes that can be useful. Now you know what items to buy, what can you do with your skills and what to do with them. Let's move up to laning!

Laning and team cooperation

Early game

Scylla is one of the weakest goddeses in early game. In this phase you have to relax, play safe and get ready to mid game. Your wave clear will be slower then your enemies' so lure their minions under your tower and finish them with basic atacks. You can get a kill on your enemy if you call for a gank or if your opponent isn't skilled. It's very important, (but not neccessary if not possible) to get at least tier 2 of your third item 'till the early game finishes.

Mid game

This is when you come into the picture. Teamfights start in this phase. Keep going with your team, and always be in the back of a tank/bruiser. Deal damage with your Crush and stun with your Sic 'Em. If you see a god on low health, kill him with your ultimate and use the second hit on other enemies. Keep doing this and your team will win team fights. Push your lane and destroy towers alone or with teammates. Kill your opponents and fight your way to the late game! Also don't forget to rotate to duo in early phases of the mid-game. You can get your first double there.

Late game

The late game is your game. Use the comboes you learned above and make your opponents rage because of your ultimate. You will get the most kills now. In this phase, you can kill a half-health opponent with your ultimate. Group up, win the teamfights and kill the Fire Giant or a phoenix. If you are owning the whole game, the enemy team will probably surrender after you kill their phoenix. If not, ult on the Titan and win the game. If you do everything right and you become comfortable with Scylla, you will carry games easily with her. All you need is practice.

Summary

Are you ready to be the Horror of Conquest?

Scylla is...

A tiny but strong mage with lots of area damage.
Loser of early, winner of late.
Cute with COG skin.
My favorite goddess.
A real Monster.

I'm about making a big update for this guide. More build choices will be added so anyone can pick the one that's comfortable for them.

So i want you to see my build and tell me what u think of it, (advantages, disadvantages,)
so that's the build by order:

bancroft

Another option is replacing tahuti with thoth to get more damage earlier.

In my opinion you should not double stack. If you are a beginenr with Scylla, then get Warlock's Sash and if you are expert feel free to use Book of Thoth. Replace the other one with Obsidian Shard. Like this:
Shoes of the Magi
Warlock's Sash
Obsidian Shard
Rod of Tahuti
Bancroft's Talon

So, For the actual review, I wanna start by saying that you gave nice information, But i feel that with Scylla there a lot more strategies as to how to land your abilities.

The build's fine, But I think it's better to rush Chronos' Pendant than benecroft's talon, Since benecroft's talon's lifesteal is more useful late game and Chronos' Pendant will give you the opportunity to do more in mid-late and it costs the same.

As you know, Scylla has a huge mana problem. That's why i prefer getting Book of Thoth in stand of warlock's sash. Plus, They cost the same, Book of Thoth is easier to stack and it gives you more power, I feel like warlock's sash is kind of a safe choice and it would fit better in a beginner build.

Void Stone is fine, But it doesn't really help you since your not close combat and it's passive will not help you at all.

A better combo for Scylla with begginers that don't know how to land their sic em is using Crush first and then popping it.

In the skills you could explain much more then 3 lines.

A matchups section should be nice.

Overall, I give this guide a 7/10, Which is an upvote. But you have a lot to improve.

Yeah you are right. I will make a beginner and a beginner and an expert build as soon as i will have time for that. Also I will add the counters too :)
