Introduction

Hi my name is Greg Evans but my online identity is ShadowStalker123 or FrozenThorn12345. I am an experienced smite player, I have been playing smite for about two years. I have lots of experience in smite game-modes. Those are primarily Joust and Conquest. This is my God Guide on Ravana in the Solo Lane. I understand that he can be used as a Jungler but I primarily use him as a Solo Laner.

Summary

Ravana in the Solo Lane is very unique. He has gone through many changes. At one point he was the worst god in the game, he then became semi-viable and finally he became a god that is viable. Here are Ravana's abilities:


ABILITIES-AND-PASSIVE
Passive: Chain of Blows; Successful Basic Attacks and abilities add to Ravana's Combo Chain. Each time his Chain reaches 8 he receives a Shield equal to 5% of his Maximum Health. This may stack up to 3 times.

- Ability Type: Self Buff
1st Ability: Prana Onslaught; Ravana throws a powerful punch, projecting his prana with it to damage and slow all enemies in front of him.
- Damage: 80/135/190/245/300 (+95% of your physical power)
- Slow Percentage: 25%
- Slow Duration: 2.5s
- Ability Type: Cone
- Cost: 30/38/45/53/60 mana
- Cooldown: 6 seconds
2nd Ability: Overhead Kick; Ravana performs a high kick, sending a shockwave forward to damage all enemies in a line and rendering him CC and damage immune during the action.

3rd Ability: 10-Hand Shadow Fist; Ravana's fists fly forward, damaging and passing through minions and damaging and rooting the first god hit. Ravana heals for each enemy hit - with maximum damage sources of one god and up to three minions.
- Damage: 120/155/190/225/260 (+55% of your physical power)
- Root Duration: 1.25s
- Healing: 15/30/45/60/75
- Ability Type: Line
- Range: 45
- Cooldown: 15 seconds
- Cost: 55/60/65/70/75 mana
Ultimate: Mystic Rush ; Ravana leaps to a target location, damaging all enemies in range. The centermost target is then linked to Ravana, doing full damage to him while all other gods do reduced damage.
- Damage: 150/225/300/375/450 (+100% of your physical power)
- Damage Reduction: 40/45/50/55/60%
- Duration: 3/3.5/4/4.5/5s
- Ability Type: Dash
- Radius: 12
- Range: 55
- Cooldown: 90/85/80/75/70 seconds
- Cost: 80/90/100/110/120 mana

Pros and Cons

Pros:

Ravana in the early lane phase in Solo Lane Ravana can stay in lane for longer than other Solo-Laner's due to his life steal on hi 3rd ability
Ravana is able to bully his lane due to his large amount of sustain and engage/disengage potential.
In my experience with this build in the solo lane Ravana has been able to hold his own against a solo laner and a Jungler (not all but most).


Cons:
    Ravana has no escape pre-ultimate.
Not having an escape in solo lane is bad due to most of the solo-laners having a type of pursue or a crowd control effect.
Ravana is very mana thirsty early game but this is easily solved with his transcendence and his lifeseteal off of Devourer's Gauntlet and transcendence.

Early Game

In the early game as Ravana you can be the agressor due to your 10 Hand Shadow Fist having life-steal and it rooting your opponent allowing you to get some poke out on them for little to no cost at your expense. Ravana is able to be a very large lane presence due to your high-damage/lifesteal abilities. His Over-Head Kick allows Ravana to be able to escape a tower-diving situation along with allowing him to escape from other wise deadly situation due to it granting you Crowd Control immunity. Something that makes Ravana one of my favorite solo-lane is because of his Over-Head Kick that allows him to get out of many situations that would other wise result in death for other solo-laners.

Mid-Game

Ravana in the mid-game is at his prime. At this point in the game you should have your 10 Hand Shadow-Fist fully leveled and reaping the fullest of the abilities rewards. At this point you should be able to begin truly dominating your lane with little to no resistance from your opposition and you should be able to rotate to other lanes in order to help your allies get ahead in their lanes.

Team Fights

Ravana is very important in team-fights because he can help team-mates in many things. First he has a good engage/disengage in his Mystic Rush he can use many of his abilities in team fights. many of his abilities have multiple uses in team-fights.

Your build only has 5 items in it. You should be selling Death's Toll to buy 6th item late game.

Also I would personally build a little protection on him, if he's playing in the solo lane.
