Introduction

Welcome to my conquest jungler Ratatosker guide. I play solo, mid, and jungler. In my times playing mid and solo I learned that Ratatoskr is the 4th scariest jungler to get ganked by next to (in order) Loki, Baset, and Kali. That's only when the Ratatoskr knows what he's doing. I'm In my guide I will teach you the ways of the Sly Messenger.

"Questionable" Items

Looking at my build I know what all of you are saying "Bloodforge on Ratatoskr. Are you crazy." And I never saw a Ratatoskr build that uses bloodforge and I was skeptical about it when I first built it in my build, but no one really appreciates the passive and life steal. Mixed with Hastend Fatalis and you can almost be unkillable if you hit the enemy. Now we get to my only iffy part of my build is Jotten's Wrath. I really like this item, it's a good all-around item. But form here to there I change it up with rage for the crits. And if I really want to be a prick, I put on Quin Sias, wow what an item. You can melt people with this item. Only reason I don't have this in my main build is no Cool Down Reduction where Jotten's Wrath does have DEE and Rage has crit chance.

Limitations

Playing Ratatoskr your gank ability is not existent until level 5. On top of all that when you do gank Ratatoskr had the lowest health pool out of all assasins. In my build I built no health items so you have to be in and out don't stick around.

How to gank

Personally I do not gank with Ratatoskr until level five. Once I hit level five and make sure I drop all my jungles then I check if my enemy jungler is slacking and left any camps up. If not recall buy wards and ward jungle to ensure your team doesn't get ganked. After that I check if enemy's are missing 1/4 health when I have my target I communicate with that lane and from the jungle I take to the Sky, my 4, then I land in the enemy then I use my 2 to stun them when they land, then I hit them a few times with basic attacks. Now depending on the situation, if there are more than the one enemy God your fightimg in lane you have two options, if your taking too much damage use your 1 and run away, or if you have blood forge and you are sure you can get the kill you can continue with the kill them have health to maybe get 2 kills if teammate was poking him while your first kill. If it was just one enemy in lane then get the kill and help clear minion wave and try to take down 1st teir tower

Yo man, nice guide, but he is quite ability based and less attack speed based, Have my upvote sir, and I would appreciate it if you reviewed my guide https://www.smitefire.com/smite/guide/the-night-terror-an-in-guide-to-camazotz-14756

Thanks a lot man I appreciate it. This is the build I use and found success with but I guess I play him a bit weird where I rely heavily on basics against Gods and save abilities for jungles. Thanks a lot. :)

Just wondering, but why build him auto-attack based when rataotskr is ability based? It seems pointless to me to build Qin's Sais, Hastened Fatalis, Bloodforge (this is mostly situational however), and the other attack speed items. Ratatoskr benefits more from power + pen in builds, Jotunn's Wrath being core on him imo, or possibly replaced with Hydra's Lament if you AA cancel.

Adding to this, why even pick up Death's Toll instead of Bumba's Mask in the jungle? Means you'll end up gaining less exp and gold when clearing camps when an ally is around.

The way that I play at least I save his abilities for jungle camps to take them down as quick as possible, and I personally don't like flurry to use it in battle. With the cooldown all his abilities have I just use my Ult. And 2 Then with the attack speed plus damage I am able to wipe the enemy God out. And for Death's toll I like the passive on it for jungling without anyone. This all works out for me, But thank you for your input and I'll add that for my build when I have the chance.
