This guide was the result of getting the highest amount of damage out put of Ra. Most would see Ra as a glass cannon or a support god. But if you want a true glass cannon leave those silly boots and gems at home. The initial build is for Arena however, for other modes with jungles get Bumba's Mask.
In Arena get Midas Boots and watchers gift first. The minions come through one lane and will be under fire from multiple gods so your gold out put will greatly increase allowing the purchase of other items sooner. Out side of arena you may want to jungle. If your team cringes at the idea of a jungleing Ra get Vampiric Shroud and Bumbas Mask anyway. The first discourse is for early game getting gold for items and consumables.
You want to be sure to always stock up on mana potions, Ra is very mana hungry and the book of thoth stacks off of the amount of mana you have, while jungleing you might want to go for mana if you find your self constantly running low.
The second discourse starts after you have fully stacked your doom orb and book of thoth on minion kills. Once you have the gold, sell the Vampiric shroud and buy the Rod of Tahuti. Next, sell watchers gift or Bumbas Mask and buy Soul Reaver. Next, buy brancofts talon after selling Midas boots. If you haven't already, purchase greater sprint and Girdle of Power. If you have some cash left over buy some potions of magical might. By this point you should have a routine of getting the power buff or mana buff as much as possible as bot will increase power. If their is a firegiant you want that fire giant as well, you can have two buffs at once if you get the fire giant= more POWER. If the game ha gone on for so long you have cash to burn the final item you can buy is the Exlir of Power.
The skills you get is up to you but i must confess, your ultimate will need to be use first in a fight for maximum potential. Soul Reavers passive only allows a sixty second cool down after an ability hits a god. But if you aren't that ballsy celestial beam is fine.
You may have a bad cace of greed as this build relies heavily on minion kills and power buffs in the jungle. But forget those nerds your Ra, and you need minion kills. God kills help to but if you die your doom orb stack will go down by half every death!
Ra by this point is mor than a glass cannon, he is a mobile paper railgun. Once his abilities are expended the enemy will have time to retaliate even worse if his mana is out. Ra has no means of escape other than speed of light and greater sprint, which of course deplete quickly.
If you are fighting by your self play defensively always even with the ridiculous power out put you have.
Now i know what some of you are thinking, i have ESP. "What about muh boots." And to you I say, why do you need boots if you float? You silly bird. This is not a quality build this is to se how much you can dish out as the god of the most powerful thing in the solar system.
If you feel that this build is to silly you can remove the brancofts talon and soul reaver for the shoes of focus and the cronos pendant. Your ultimate will take thirty seconds to recharge instead of fifty but you will need more mana as you will probably spam more abilities. Your ultimate will be your best friend, use it when helping a team mate or when coming out of a jungle. And if you miss, well thats nothing new for searing pain. You celestial beam still dose over 1100 damage at maximum power.
Also the highest amount of damage is released at your lowest point of health. Im not that brave but if you are you can save your ult until your in the red or lower.
All together Ra can pump out 2200 points of magical damage if all the cards are played right. That means full stack on items, elixr and potion of magic strength, jungle buff from power buff and fire giant, and full mana and lowest hp. (Ive only been able to get my hp down to six but a sneeze can kill at that hp)
