Introduction.

Hey there all, my name is Sykkamorre and I'm a competitive fighting game player. I specialize in a unique brand of prediction when it comes to fighters, and I'm attempting to bring my style into this wonderful clash of gods.

Ok, so we all know what Sobek is capable of. We all know he excels at singling out targets from the pack for teams to destroy. We all know his ult induces fear like no other and we all know he can stall people for a while with his two knockups and slow.

So I put this to you: Why not make him the biggest secret threat to the enemy team while you're at it?

This guide will probably garner some dislikes but all things aside, it's primarily a fun and effective build for the killer croc and his fancy-pants axe.

Pros / Cons

Pros:
You're a force to be reckoned with, capable of nearly oneshotting a lot of mages and hunters late game.
Multi-talented. You might be focused around murder but you need to stall people until backup arrives? You can do that with your knockups and slow.
Being able to yell outdated shrek memes at people almost guilt free!
You shut down healing with your 3 pretty hard.
Noone expect the spanish inquisition. Errr...the Shrekbek Inquisition.
Tanky, mobile and incredibly fun to play.
Good disruption of teamfights.

Cons:
Sobek is just too sexy for human eyes to truly comprehend.
Long cooldowns, so you won't be a rapid damage dealing machine.
Should people realise you're a threat, you'll have to play accordingly.
Should you fall behind, you MUST reevaluate your build and scrap the offense.

Abilities.

We're not going to go into much detail here really, again due to the fact that everyone and thier mother knows what he's capable of.

So here's the skinny.

Level your 3, then your 1, then your 2. From there pump points into your 3 and 4 whenever you can. Your 3 is your sustain, your antiheal and your lovely way of dealing chunks of damage to a wide area.

after 3's all done, get your 2 up since the main threat of your 1 is really just it's existence in the first place.

Notes about your skills and the optimal times to use them.

1: This is your awesome dash throw. This move alone is what people fear when you're supporting another character in lane. Keep in mind that while it's a fantastic long distance initiate tool, it is also your best bet at escaping should you get yourself in too deep, so think carefully about when the optimal times to use it are.

2: This is good for 3 things: Doing damage, knocking someone in a direction you desire and stalling out people while you're waiting for backup to arrive.

3: Now this beauty I honestly didn't pay much attention to the first time I picked up Sobek and hoo boy was I wrong for doing so. Early on, it weakens waves so your carry can take them out faster and reduces healing of those hit by 50%. Since health pots are almost always used right off the bat, correct use of this move alone can secure the kill by your adc. As you transition into mid, you start doing a fair chunk of damage with this, most likely killing archers and by the time you're in late you're clearing waves solo and hitting multiple gods for decent chunks of damage while in the process.

4: This is your pride and joy, a huge long lasting slow ending in absurd damage. However, arguably the most important and powerful aspect to this move is it's ability to be a psuedo-taunt and fear simultaniously. "But Sykka, you huge bellend! That's not what it is at all! It's a slowwwwwww" And yes, the move itself slows before doing a large hit BUT you need to consider the enemy's perspective once they see this at thier feet. They have 2 choices; Either attempt to end you before you pop off or get the hell out of there so they don't possibly get OHKO'd. Utilizing the other team's mindset is the single most important factor when it comes to using my build and if you want to be effective, you've got to master it.

Combos:

1>3>2 - Your standard jobby. You throw 'em, hurt 'em and then stall 'em.

1>3>2>4 - The big one. Same as before, but then you chase them down most likely with the intention of killing them outright, if not forcing them to use thier Aegis or escapes to run the hell away from you. Note: Aim for those squishy gods if you can. Sure, hitting a few at a time is super, but if you can flat out obliterate one of them while causing the rest to panic, that's just as good.

3>2/2>3 - They getting a little too much in your face? get some healing, do some damage and knock them up and away while you reposition.

4>3/2>2/3>1 - The late-game house special. Entering a teamfight from the jungle? Come charging in with your ult, scare the **** out fo them, hurt them, disrupt everything and throw a high profile target back to your team like a used washcloth for them to feast on your scraps. Alternatively, why not throw thier guardian or warrior somewhere out of the way so an assasin can dive in with relative safety?

Your Game Plan.

As stated above, this whole build requires excellent awareness to the opposing team's psychological states and what they'll do in response to your various threats. While a lot of players have a vague ability to figure out the enemy, this needs a fair bit more than the norm to get the desired results. Those of you who have played fighters will likely know what this is all about and therefor will be more adept at this method of reading but even if you aren't an avid SF or SSB player you can learn this style of play relatively easily. Just be empathetic to the opponent and observe thier preferred actions.

With the first buld you'll notice that for a support, you are not really going with much defense, with watchers being swapped out late for mantle and dynasty plate helm being swapped out for bancroft's if you really need a little more oomph to your moves.

You had better get used to keeping your passive up as much as possible, because that's going to be what keeps you alive primarily, before you vanish off into the jungle to go irritate another lane and set-up/secure another kill there.

Build this first one if you're confident about rapidly switching from lane to lane causing as much havok as possible without getting your scaley *** beaten to a pulp (or if the enemy are foolish and don't get much pen)

Now the second one is a bit more traditional, with a touch of power involved. You can swap out your BoV for BoH if that's what you need, or sacrifice some power for more defense.

The idea is the same essentially, howveer you'll be tankier with less mobility through the jungle and gold gain in general.

With this build, you'll be more of a true support and as such, you'll have to focus slightly less on your destructive hit and run tactics and more on getting people seperated and near to your team with thier weapons at the ready.

General notes:

Potions, buy them at the start and for most of the game you'll want to have 3 of each, or possibly more mana pots, since your sustain from your 3 is surprisingly good while your running around. heal from a wave and run off into the jungle to proc the HP5 from travelers. Should you be using the second build, they're even more important.

Don't sweat the small fry. Your abilities have a fair bit of cooldown on them, so don't idly waste your skills if you don't have to. Aim for what's most important to harrass at the time, not jonny wilkins down the road shimmying his way away with a bulky char.

Conclusion.

Well, that's my guide on how to be a total D-Bag to the enemy team as a surprise threat transitioning from support to a freaky triple lane bully semi jungler satanic freak.

Yes, I'm aware that it'd probably get you nowhere in the pro circuit or anyhting but I'll be damned if it isn't incredibly fun to go and come out with a truckload of kills.

Have fun now guys, and don't forget to yell outdated Shrek memes all day long.
