Introduction

Update 8: Ring of Spears got nerfed, but with the CDR items, I find myself using it pretty often still, often times before my teammates have their cooldowns back. I wouldn't say it's a terrible nerf, but it has made me start playing a little more careful due to not having my "ring jump" escape.
Update 9: Not much reaaalllllyyy changed except ult and passive are merged together and new passive and Thorns is back! Yes! I'm going to work on this more later when I got time. Full-time job and whatnot.

Follow this guide at your own volition. When I wrote this, this was the only 'in-depth' guide since the great Raven Shout change, requiring everyone to completely redo their builds.

Writer's note: This seems really underwhelming when you write it the first time, but then come the edits. And patches, which require hours of testing sometimes. And more edits. Then you pretty much have to tear it down and re-write everything, which, then, seems like a lot of text.

Twist and shout - the beatles!

Yep, I tossed in a few song references.

Xbox is just always one patch behind, they cant be that far behind in patches or else the community would be too divided (my opinion anyways)

And it would be pretty awkward if somebody played both, have raven shout give attack speed in one and gives some shield in the other.

I never looked, and have no idea how xbox version is, so I wasn't sure if Odin's abilities were pre-raven shout nerf or post.

Skills dont go in the store just items, and I think you are on the Recommended Tab, which is basically items to help get a new player started. Click on the other store tab (which I think is All Im not sure it became habit at this point) which has all the items into categories. If you have a mode called Jungle Practice you can test it out there.

I'm not sure I follow, what are Odin's skills on Xbox? Are they same as the ones here? Are the items the same? Have auto item build and auto skill off? (Although, you can probably set auto skill just fine).

I see you suggest Sovereignty in the tank items. This is a poor decision as the support almost always picks this item up, and the auras do not stack witch each other. You'd be better off building Mystical Mail or Midgardian Mail.

I'm still working on this. All the items are mixed around because sorting through the Smitefire item list is a pain in the rear. I could very well be missing a button that sorts out items that don't exist anymore and items that Odin /can't even use/. (If there is a button for that, please tell me where it is, I'm not being sarcastic. It sucks.) Yes, I am in fact lazy when it comes to this stuff, as real life work takes most of my energy.
Keep in mind this isn't for competitive play, this is for randoms. I've seen, maybe two "support" in joust pick up Sov, maybe a few times in arena or any other style, it's very uncommon. If you're playing pro Odin and reading this guide, you're probably hurting your game more than improving it. Especially since I've only played a few games since getting back into Smite and I just made my last update last night before going to bed, I plan on making it prettier(probably select all, copy and paste to a notepad and work with more space and not on a black background) and fixing some of the item things tonight.
Thank you for pointing out the flaws, regardless.
I'm still transitioning, myself, from basic attack Odin to jump style. When I wrote this, this was literally the only decent guide that was even updated for the change. I plan to fix it tonight, since I'm probably done "playing"(Read: "sucking") as Ratat for a while. I just cannot play assassins worth a hoot.

Edit: Actually, I know I changed the item build for DPS(as well as some others) yesterday morning. And saved/published it half a dozen times because the internet went out for a bit. I guess some of the changes didn't stick.

Good build, but you arent giving my favorite item enough attention. Breastplate of Valor is much more important to Odin. Im a diamond Odin, and I cannot remember the last time I didnt build boobplate. While it might not be as important in your damage build, it should be the first item you buy in your physical tank and all-round tank builds.

I also want to mention that you have Deathbringer and Qin's Sais in the build, and that will cost alot. Its not a bad thing, but you might want to mention it in the guide.
