Introduction

Hello, I'm Fenrir0990.

This build is for the fenrir novice who is wanting to engage in the manhunt that is arena, as well as get a grasp on how the god is played. I'm legendary with him, and is my main god that I have spent a lot of time with in the arena. With that said I mainly play in the arena and assault so my builds are to be taken with that in mind.

The build above has the key items in the manner which they are to be purchased from the store. You can improvise with it but the damage output I have found testing it out in practice and in the arena is looking at 700 or 800 crit damage at least. With basic damage being at just shy of 400 damage at least.

I will describe later the way in which the items are to be used as well the combos, how this wonderful god is to be played.

Items

The build above has the items for mainly damage but has some others items for defense based on what you need more. Sometimes in early game its better to grab a shield item (as the ones shown in the build) and spend more time in the center farming minions a bit to build some of the better items for damage, or just to survive a kill when your looking to be ganked by the enemy team. (Honestly though, if you play him right you won't have these problems)

Boots

Warrior Tabi
Basic boots for fenrir, no matter what build.

Bloodforge

I get this fairly early on so I can farm minions to bolster health or to increase chances of surviving of going 1v1 or just confirming a kill for your team.

Malice

Great item for increasing crit chance and when combo'd with Deathbringer then get ready for great damage against squishy gods, let the hunt begin.

Deathbringer

You get this, and the hunt is about to begin. Still be cautious until full build, remember through out the game that you are an assassin, you can easily be killed in a good team fight.

Quins Sais

You can either get this first or Stone Cutting Blade depending on either if you want more movement speed or more damage done. Either way you'll end up with both.

Stone Cutting Blade

Great item to finish on considering it's fairly new since season three.

Bulwark of Hope

I would say this is hands down one of the best defensive items in the game, works great for an assassin hunting squishy mages but also its passive makes this item worth getting.

Shifter's Shield

Great item for protection against physical damage and used by most warriors for its ability to bolster either your defense or your offense depending on what its needed for.

Witchblade
&
Void Shield

honestly I never really spring for these items but they're still good for what they do.

Skills

COMBOS

2,3,1
Using your howl to bolster your attack, close in and find who you want to kill alone or at least half health then using your 3 ability to start it all up. If you can't kill them after using these two abilities and getting at least one basic attack in then that's when you leap away with 1.

2,3,4,1
Very much the same as the combo above except you use your ult to confirm the kill or get away if you've taken too much damage (rare if you've built correctly and did everything your suppose to do as an assassin). Using that one to either leap to confirm a kill or with your passive full then you'll stun them and get the kill that way too.

1,3,4
This combo doesn't need the ult but it helps in getting a kill or what not. But how it works is in late/mid game. You get full runes on your passive, jump in to cc with a stun, hit with three and if your ult is down then just hit with a basic attack or then ult and kill that way if anything you can use that ult to escape if need be.
