Introduction

Hello again everyone, this is my fifth guide that Ive worked on spending tons of time in jungle practice and casuals. Hopefully you'll take some good points from what I have to say here.

Skills

Swift Vengeance

This is the ability that you max LAST. Its simply a getaway skill with no decrease in cooldown or useful damage.

Slice and Dice

Max this ability 1st. Its not a great ability by any means, but its your only clearing ability for mid camps, maxing this early game speeds up your jungling slightly and get you back into lane ganking sooner. The 2 sec slow doesnt change on it sadly, but we will be making up for that in our build later.

Retribution

Max this ability 2nd. If you cant tell already, Nemesis is more of a boxing god than she is an ability based god. This skill doesnt only shield damage but heals Nemesis. Its only up for 2s however, so it has to be timed properly, otherwise the person you are boxing can disengage then reengage when your shield is down. Its still a useful tool to have up often though.

Divine Judgement

Max this ability 3rd. Early game Nemesis NEEDS the clear help from her slice and dice, and survivability of her shield. Her ult is good for stealing protections, but people dont generally have a TON of protections until mid to late game, thats why we should max this 3rd.

Items

The reason I choose Warrior Tabi over Ninja Tabi is that I feel that asi gives her all the attack speed she needs. Now she might not be an ability based god, thats for sure, however warrior tabi make her crits hit harder for an extra 80 damage before mitigations.

Having Asi on Nemesis is very important! I see people run Jotunn's Wrath or Breastplate of Valor on her all the time and that is just wrong. She is NOT an ability based bruiser, she is a BOXER. Having lifesteal, pen, and attack speed is WAY more important then having 2 seconds on your shield's cooldown reduced.

Third item I start to run crit for the mid game DPS. If you do still have a problem with people running away from you because your ability slows arent that potent, then I could see rushing Frostbound Hammer then crit. In my opinion, you can build any order you want depending on the situation, but the items themselves stand as core. Frostbound also puts you just above the 2k health mark at level 20, giving her good boxing potential and survivability.

Titan's Bane is a good item to finish off your pen, does additional damage to towers and structures, and gives you consistent damage to tanks when your ult is on cooldown. Its also cheap, plus the cheap cost of asi that justifies spending the 3.2k on Deathbringer.

Items NOT to build on Nemesis!

Transcendence

Nemesis doesnt have mana issues for the most part, she relies on basic attacks 85% of the time, so building ability damage doesnt help her a whole lot.

Defense in general isnt good on Nem because she isnt naturally tanky. Shes an assassin and whose job is to pick people off that are out of position, not to frontline. If you try to frontline, you will find that there are other gods better at the job. Asi and Frostbound Hammer give you all the survivability you needs and take advantage of the thing nemesis is good at, auto attacks.

You can steal all the protections you want with her ult, but you cant steal an enemy's lifesteal or raw health as Nem.

Same kinda goes with breastplate, she doesnt use her abilities often. So there's not much need for the cooldown, besides if you need pen there are much better items out there for that. Like Titan's Bane.

Summary

Ill be making tweaks to this guide as time goes on and item patches come out. At the time (April 21, 2016) Throwing dagger is overpowered however I have not tried it on her yet. It is something I'd expect to be nerfed in the future and other items buffed. Who knows, maybe ninja boots will get buffed since not too many gods build it anymore and that will be the new OP item. Only time will tell.

Overall, I consider Nemesis a decent A tier god, She can do well if equipped and played properly, but I would like for her to see a buff. Her low scaling would be fine if her base ability damage was higher, and if her slow or shield duration lasted for 4 sec instead of 2. But oh well. She's still a fun god to play once in a while, and has the coolest special emote over any other god in the game, even thor. If you dont know what Im talking about, then next time you hop on to play, check out Nem's God tab and click on EMOTES.
