This is just a quick run through of the items I use for Ne Zha along with the associated cost of all the pieces together. I am by no means a good player - I've just played a lot of games with him and it works for me, so I'm trying to share what I've found. (Any and all constructive criticism is welcome)
My reason to include Bracer of Replenishment(1) in the starting items is because it gives you a good amount of (Much needed!) early mana and regen. Alternatives to this that I've also used are Mark of the Vanguard and Death's Toll, depending on the lane match up. MotV if they enemy has a lot of early game harrass, Death's Toll if not.
All these items help your early game sustain in different ways, with BoR(1) being my preference due to play-style. I usually sit back and cast my No.1 skill as often as I can, so I need the mana and regen to do this successfully.
First Back : The first time you return to base you should have around 1600g or so. I upgrade my boots full, get a couple health potions and a ward. I cannot stress enough how important it is to ward your jungle around mid lane as Ne Zha. You basically have no escapes, the only one being your ultimate (4) skill, which moves you forward a good distance. It's much easier to just get a ward than waste your ultimate.
Second Back : I will always get the first 2 ranks of Soul Eater when I go back to base the second time. I really like this item and will always include it when I play Ne Zha because you get a good amount of health, attack speed, lifesteal and physical power for the actual cost of the item. I also get 2 mana potions and a ward. With the lifesteal you can just easily farm a jungle camp to regain the health.
Third Back : This one is easy. Third rank of Souleater, first rank of Rage and another ward. Rage is probably one of my favorite items in Smite - simply because of the amount of damage output it adds. Any physical damage carry should have this item somewhere in their build.
Fourth Back : The last 2 ranks of Rage and another ward. Always make sure you pick up at least one ward when you return to base. I've found at this point you can easily and quickly solo the Gold Fury also.
Fifth Back : I'll usually try and just buy Fatalis outright, if not, rank 2 is fine for now. The reason for getting this is because being a melee champion with a chain swing rotation, you need attack speed. It couples very well with rage and also and gives a movespeed buff which is nice for chasing and getting around the map quicker. At this point you can easily solo the Fire Giant and Gold Fury.
Sixth Back : When I return this time I will try to get rank 2 of Deathbringer, just because rank 1 isn't very good for the amount of gold you spend on it. If you don't have enough it's still fine to get rank 1 though.
Seventh Back : This is about the last time I will return to base, because of how late in the game it normally is. I pick up the last rank of Deathbringer and another ward only if it's needed i.e. you haven't killed all their towers and aren't on their Minotaur yet.
Once again, this is just a quick run through of how I level my skills when I play Ne Zha. I am by no means a good player and if anyone has any constructive criticism or advice it is appreciated.
This goes without saying, but I'll say it anyway - Always level your ultimate ability when you're able to (5, 9, 13, 17, 20).
I always take Universe Ring Toss at level 1 and try to max as fast as possible because it greatly helps when getting ganked or taking down jungle camps. Countless times I've been able to turn a gank around into a double kill because of this skill. It also greatly helps when running away - Let's say for instance you've pushed mid up to the tower and two enemy gods emerge from the jungle to gank you. You can easily outrun them just by throwing out a ring toss onto some mobs or the enemy gods to grant you the speed buff while simultaneously slowing the enemies down. This has also helped countless times when I've been caught in sticky situations that I need to get out of quickly. This doesn't account for them having anything that can counter a slow however - If they do your options are to stay and try to fight them both or use your ultimate to escape.
I max Flaming Spear second simply because of the massive spike in damage it gives you during fights, which helps a lot to overcome a disadvantage e.g. if they have an item lead or 2v1, or if you just need to burst someone down really quickly.
Armillary Sash for me, is really only useful as a stun. I always max this last and will only use it for the stun capabilities. It's a great cap-closer also and a good tool for engaging onto someone.
