My Ares Builds (mostly for my own reference)

OK, I'll make this quick.
DO NOT tell me my formatting is ****. This is here for me, not for you.

I have 2x purchase orders, here. these include all my variants. here are my reasonings:

So I am sure by now we all know about ares: 2, blink, ult. If your team is ready, and listening to their tank, and works with him, it's gg.

v1: Max my blink. it's a 45s cooldown. early game I can blink once between my ults.
greaves, protections and extra speed.
valour, cooldown.
spirit, cooldown.
This brings my cooldown on my ult to 60s, much faster than the cooldown of beads. so if I grab everyone and they bead out, if I can ult in fast enough (as soon as my cooldown expires), they will not have time to bead, and it's gg.
The other advantage of this cooldown is I can 1, 3, 2, 4, 1, 3 - I can hit them with everything, protect up, ult/pullem back, hittem again. gg.

Everything after that is protection/aura. Aura items are important because they
a. buff your team
b. debuff the enemy
c. increase my power, a lot (it's my passive)


v2: everything as said above is true, with these variants:
Valour first: bring my cooldown, down. (This is risky, no boots, no escapes. It's also less needed here, as boots give cooldown anyway).
shoes of focus: these are for cooldown. it means I am slightly less protected, but I don't need spirit robe anymore, and I can add an extra Aura item.

Actives:
for arena, I will buy girdle as my second item, and for 3v3, eye of providence.

Ares is ALL TEAMWORK.
Sure, my average game, I go 8/1/24 but the key is communication. Let your team know your ult is nearly up, let 'em know when it's up, keep an eye on your map to make sure they are all right there waiting for you, (they will be hanging close by ) let 'em know you're going in.

Same for 3v3. except it's OK to pull just their assassin here, coz you can kill him. if he is down, your team should have no trouble from the other two (depending on the team compositions of course...)

Don't know much about conquest, haven't played it with Ares.

I go chains, fire, protections, ulti.
There may be some merit in going protections first tho. I'm used to playing DPS guys, so I still think too much about getting the kill.
