Items

Ninja Tabi: Gives mercury movements speed which his passive (fastest god alive) benefits from. Also gives him attack speed and physical power.

Hastened Fatalis: You don't loose speed when hitting an enemy, 30 percent more attack speed, and 10 percent more movement speed which means more physical power.

Heartseeker: A perfect item for Mercury (better than golden bow). This item gives mercury 20 physical power and you gain 6 physical power per stack (10 stacks max) for a total of 80. You gain 1 stack for an assist and 2 for a kill. Your stacks are reduced by half for a death. Heartseeker gives you an additional 10 percent movement speed which again, increases his physical power. Use your high movement speed advantage to stay alive and keep your stacks. Use your speed to catch enemies to increase your stacks.

Deathbringer: Increases physical power by 50, provides a 1 in 5 chance of a critical hit, and also increases the amount of damage your critical hits deal by 40 percent.

Malice: Combined with Deathbringer, this item makes your chance of dealing a critical hit 40 percent. Malice also gives Mercury 50 physical power. Also, whenever hit a critical attack, you deal an additional 75 percent of your total physical power as damage over the next 3 seconds. Additional critical strikes will refresh this effect.

Rage: The importance of critical chance to this build and Mercury's abilities will be talked about in the next Chapter. This item gives Mercury 30 physical power. After this item is bought, the total probability of dealing a critical strike is 70 percent minimum. With this item, if you don't deal a critical hit, you gain a stack (5 stacks max) that will increase your chance by 2 percent. Stacks reset every time you deal a critical attack.

Overall
Overall, this build will allow you destroy your opponents relatively quickly. Every item in this build adds to Mercury's physical power which increases his basic attack damage and will allow him to deal critical hits of incredibly high damage. In total he has 38 percent of additional movement speed from items, this amount of mobility increase your chance of not dying while running away and your chance of not letting an enemy get away with low health.

Skills

His build combined with his abilities makes his one of the most devastating assassins.

Made you look: This is a ranged ability that damages an enemy in a circular area. As you upgrade this ability, the radius of the circle and the damage it does increases. This ability counts as basic attack as well. This means that you can do critical damage with this ability, and once you get Malice, this ability will do damage over time equal to 75 percent of your physical power. Use this ability to clear minions and camps, poke the enemy, and finish of an escaping opponent.

Maximum Velocity: This ability is a powerful buff once upgraded a decent amount. This ability gives Mercury increased movement speed (10 percent at max), and increased attack speed (70 percent at max). The movement speed buff will increase your physical power as well due to his passive ability. The increased attack speed will obliterate your foes relatively quickly once you have critical chance items built. Use this ability to run away quicker, to catch low health opponents, or swiftly kill slay an enemy.

Special Delivery: This ability is a dash that captures an opponent, stuns them, and tosses them in the direction of your choice. While they are stunned you do a small amount of tick damage until the stun ends. This ability acts as both a way to escape from the enemy, to initiate a fight with an opponent. With Special Delivery you can even dash through minions to stun a enemy, just be care to not die by minions. The biggest offensive benefit of this ability is when you toss an enemy in the air. Not only do you have the benefit of controlling the direction in which the enemy is tossed. but you can land a blow with a basic attack as well. This one basic attack can give you a substantial advantage if you have critical chance items built.

Sonic Boom(Ultimate): This ability is a long ranged dash that gives you Crowd Control immunity. The distance Mercury can travel with this ability depends on how long you spend charging it up. This ability will stun all enemies hit by it for 1.5 seconds. when you first get this ability, the starting damage is 200, plus 100 percent of your physical power. It scales by 75 damage up to 500 damage plus 100 percent of your physical power. Use this ability to escape enemies and to finish them off.

Here are some examples of effective usage of Mercury's abilities:

Mercury is one of my favorite gods and the only one I will jungle with. That being said, Mercury's ultimate defense is in his LIFESTEAL! When you play Mercury correctly, there is no taking him down. Hastened Fatalis and Malice are redundant and unnecessary in this build. If you can't stick to your target with Merc, you are playing him wrong. Golden Bow is an absolute necessity for his massive ability to camp clear.

Mercury has the fastest clear out of any jungler come mid game. That being said, his ability to run through all ally buff camps and then make quick work of the enemy's is invaluable. What is needed in place of those two items is Soul Eater and Asi or Bloodletter, depending on flavor. I prefer Asi for the passive to help keep you alive in hectic fights.

How does that work?

Think about every team fight ever. Mage in back, ADC slightly forward of Mage, Jungler sitting beside ADC, Warrior up ahead, tank engaging. As soon as you Ult. Through the pack, turn around and 3 shot the Mage. Big damage gone. Turn on ADC. 3 shot dead. Jungler right after. Now you have a warrior and a tank, both of which cannot kill you through your LIFESTEAL and the rest of your team has already taken down half of their health.

Also, with 2 LIFESTEAL items, Mercury can easily solo the Fire Giant. This is HUGE for your team! Absolutely huge. Anyways, Merc NEEDS LIFESTEAL late game. End of story.

Dude lets start off with some constructive criticism:(dont hate on my spelling)
What you did right: You gave decent builds, lore, skills

What you did wrong: Builds, leveling

Now as an experienced merc player your build is NOT AT ALL good for conquest.
Heres why:
1. no tank
2. greed build
3. barely any power
4. no pen
5. no support*
6. no actives

1. The face you have no tanks is extremely bad. As the meta is right now, the jungler is supposed to be there to support/gank lanes with their strong scaling and ultimates to finish opponents while also being a frontline in the mid/late game. With no tank, when you gank adn the enymy mid/jungler come to follow you, you instead feed the enymy due to your builds. Now to fix this i suggest this: replace hasten fatalis with frostboud hammar( this is due to the fact that it gives an EXCELLENT passive with a ok amount of health a small form of power) adn also replace malice with soul eater/ spirit rbe (you dont need malice since you went double crit and warrior tabi WHICH YOU SHOULD ALWAYS DO ON THESE TYPES OF JUNGLERS, youll be getting double ks's left adn right, so some more health will keep you alive.

2. NO ACTIVES this is just laziness: the fact you didnt put actives which btw are super important on juglers (i main jungle so i know what im talking about) is really bad. Thigs like beads and sprit are vital to merc.

3. The fact you went double att speed WHEN HE HAS A FREAKING STEROID is also a poor choice. With warrior tabi youll do over 25% more power and with heatseeker you dont need fatalis, it would be better if you went for a health, lifesteal, or tank option.

4. You didnt talk about the merc playstyle. A real guid talks about what to play with the god, about the god and HOW TO PLAY the god. I your guide doesnt explain how to play the god peopel who read the guide will be super confused, you are literally doing what Hi-rez did, your givinga suggested build and a summary of merc. Nothing else.
