As Loki you need to know what fights you can/cannot do. Sometimes it may be better just to not help a teammate that is about to die because 1 death is better than 2. If possible use your Ult to stun an enemy to ensure a safe getaway for your teammate but only if you know you can get out, because that way it's just suicide and regardless somebody dies but you wasted your ult in the encounter. Never use your Aimed Strike right before you go to use your Ult, Assassinate. Doing so allows the enemy to know when you are going in for an attack. Your Aimed Strike is much louder than Vanish so not even using it from a distance will help nullify the sound.
When it comes to engaging try to use your Vanish from a distance to nullify the sound you make as much as possible. Most players will go into a defensive position when they hear you, weather it be simply running away to the safety of a tower or to the safety of a teammate, or preparing for your attack. When you Vanish from a distance they don't hear you so they become out of position, expecting you to be nowhere near them at the time. When you get close to them Auto them, then trigger your Aimed Strike then Auto them again, then follow up with your Ultimate, Assassinate. If they live use your decoy to trigger an auto-attack cancel. You auto-attack cancel by quickly using an auto-attack after using an ability. Not all gods can utilize the auto-attack cancel to feel free to experiment and see if they are possible with other gods :)
