The base build shreds mage/hunter/assassins/mid-late game damage based warrior builds. Ive played around a lot with different variations, but Ive found that speed and crits are Loki's best friend. An interesting combo that works well for anti-assassining is the Hastened Fatalis with Frostbound hammer; you slow them down, and get to move full speed while you attack them. Also, I hardly ever see the Golden Bow in anyones builds, but with Loki the extra movement speed makes sense to me. The basic/crit average DPS with the base build is 601, without any of your abilities.
Skills:
Arena - your job is to pick off people out of position and not feed the enemy team kills. Once you get into your build is when you can be a little more bold. You dont have a real escape so keep your Vanish ready if you're playing aggressive, or build high CDR. Harass the mage/hunter gods to keep them off their game. Vanish and just appear someone close to them. Throw up your Decoy in their face. If you get them out of position punish them. If you get ahead on your build, you can attack guardians out of position with your ult and still come out on top. Pop the ult, then the aimed strike. Bye bye enemy god. Hit your vanish and get out of there.
Joust(3v3) - Loki is one of my current favorites in Joust. If you get 2-3 early kills you snowball into a monster really easily. If you're struggling to get kills you'll have to jungle to keep pace. You have to be careful if you have an aggressive enemy/team that backs up to the tower prematurely. If you build the lifesteal with Devo. gloves level up your Decoy more than you would on other builds so you can stack more easily. I found jungling trying to build stacks with the Devo. gloves to be effective.
Pro:
Snowballs really well with early game kills
Melts gods late game
Vanish can save you from out of position deaths if not playing area damage gods
Very strong on Joust with a mage/guardian compliment
Cons:
Very squishy
No real escape (no dash)
Ult can put you out of position, with no escape routes (especially in joust)
CC is pretty much a death sentence. Dont attack gods with hard CC head on.
