Lifepen Anubis Arena Recomended

The reason why the build shows only the final items is a combination between my laziness and the letting you have the freedom to buy any of these items in any order. In arena (the recommended game type) you gain 8 gold per second and can afford to buy the starting items at their second stage (i.e. getting spell focus) by the time first blood is gotten (usually within the first 2 mins) you should be able to get either tier 2 boots or Restored Artifact (the decision lies whether or not you want the move speed) The main point of this build in arena is buy the expensive stuff first because your gp5 is insanely high in arena.

I find alot of Anubis players feel the need to max Swarm of Locusts second (it honestly makes me cry) the reason I max it last is because it has 2 major flaws if you are maxing your Grasping Hands first. The first flaw is obviously that Swarm of Locusts causes you to become STATIONARY. This simple mechanic in the skill CAN BE INTERRUPTED by forced movement and any other movement hindering cc (exception slows). The second flaw leads a little into the first it does not have a high damage output for its lack of range and easy interruption.Swarm of Locusts is a good skill don't get me wrong but your damage out put is far higher in your 3 (Grasping Hands) with the longer stun duration when you max Mummify second instead of Swarm of Locusts. I can prove this by a little story I was playing Anubis and noticed that when you try the whole spell combo with the shorter stun your damage is mathematically slightly higher but it is rare to pull off because the cc is so short. In the long run when I started another game and maxed the stun next at level 5 I was ****ing on most people because they were stunned for 1.3 seconds taking just about all of my ground damage every 10 or so seconds (cooldowns).
