Introduction

Please be kind with critics , feel free to share your own opinion on guide.
This guide is based on observing of gameplay of different Cernunnos players and his kit.
Near Hades guide , this is my second ever guide.

Builds

Build #1 is attack speed - crit steroid with some bonus lifesteal.

Build #2 is mostly based on Cernunnos first ability Shifter of seasons.

– Spring Growth: Bonus Physical Lifesteal - Combined with Bloodforge this is lifesteal steroid.

– Summer Heat: Bonus Damage - Great with malice

– Autumn Decay: Debuff for 5s - You can build in Titan's bane and shred some more protections

– Winter Chill: Slows for 1s - Reason why Fatalis is in this build, combine these 2 and you get free Frostalis *-*

Difference between good and perfect Cernunnos player is that perfect player knows when to switch to certain seasons.
Spring Growth: Bonus Physical Lifesteal - OFC you'll use this season when you're low hp or trying to survive on low hp.
Summer Heat: Bonus Damage - want to make cancer cells inside your enemy grow in size ? No problemo amigo just use this season. You can also use it when killing jungle bosses.
Autumn Decay: Debuff for 5s- Use this seasonal effect once on enemy then swap to either Summer or Winter.
Winter Chill: Slows for 1s - Enemy god too fast ? Ha lol not anymore, welcome them to slow-motion life ! Also use this when chasing enemies.

This ability is perfect for lane clear, that's why you should max it first , it also provides bloody diarrhea of root & slow. You can combine this ability with Bluestone pendant to deal more damage to minions/gods early game.

Upgrade this on level 4 just to have it. Chase enemies or escape them with this.

This ability is funny. Invite Peppa the Pig to watch how you slaughter her wild cousins. Ok now seriously ... This is great ability for dispositioning enemy team. Enemies about to use ult ? Ha lol nope , YOU'RE ALL PIGS ! This ability is great if combined with Bramble blast, this way you root them and then you can freely ult. Higher chance to hit your ult.

Pros / Cons

Pros

- Hyper carry with insane damage late game
- Great ult for dispositioning
- Diversity of builds and ways to play him , you can build anything

- Shifter of seasons is like a whole kit

Cons

- Ult takes time to activate , countered by beads
- Shifter of seasons is hard to master , u must know when to use which season
- Long cooldowns

Changelog

16.3.''17. - Added Frostbound hammer to the build.
19.4.''17. - Swaped Hastened fatalis with Titan's bane in build
- Fixed Cons

Even though Autumn Decay has built-in shred, building 10 flat pen isn't enough.

Dude, you have little to no pen. You won't be able to burst down tanks late game with only 10 flat penetration

You only have 10 flat pen. You're really handicapping his damage potential, basic attack damage anyways.

Wouldn't you want Wind Demon before Qin's Sais as it gives you 20% crit chance and attack speed, Ik Qin's Sais give more attack speed unless you can get a few hits on them -- which would then give you 5 seconds of more attack speed and movement speed -- I think Wind Demon should go before Qin's Sais, but then again I am really new to build/guide building.

Just an opinion but what do you think about it since you guys are way more experienced in this than me. Lol

Hey Kami, actually when you incorporate Qin's into a build, it is best to be built fairly early...usually 3rd or 4th item. It provides the single best DPS increase of any one item, and is usually used in the mid-game for the DPS boost to be an aggressor.

As a comparison against a squishy/bruiser/tanky god, my numbers in my setup comparison using Smite Builder show 436/245/214 DPS for Qin's in Serp3nt's build #1 order...if I replace Qin's with Wind Demon, the values are either 299/148/112 (before crits activate the passive) or 325/161/122 (once passive is functioning). Even in the case the passive is active, it is seriously inferior to Qin's.

That said, there's a general issue, in my opinion, with the standard build. Specifically, sure, it's nice that there are a lot of low cost items...but if you look at the build (not sure if Death's Toll is an option as a starter, as it's not listed), the mid-game is going to be fairly weak. Why? 2 items in a row have 0 additional power... Asi and Hastened Fatalis. This is going to seriously hurt damage of all types. You might even count Ichaival in that group, if you're just starting an attack or you initiate with a damaging ability and don't have stacks.

Build 1 would be fine with some slight revisions...if you concentrate on Qin's Sais, probably best not to build crit items like Wind Demon...better to get more significant pen in there...either The Executioner or Titan's Bane. Also would suggest considering Devourer's Gauntlet early in the build so you're not stuck with 2 items with 0 power...just an option though.

Build 2 is better, and does incorporate Devo's, but at that point, I might go for Ninja Tabi as the movespeed item, since Devo's has good power. Strong pen via The Executioner should definitely be in there, either before crit items (against a tankier team) or after the crit items (squishy focus).

Wouldn't Frostbound Hammer be better with Winter Chill? I only say this because with Hastened Fatalis built, you're already ignoring ALL Basic Attack movement penalties thus, making the activation of Winter Chill completely useless.

At Max Rank, you're getting a 15% Slow with Winter Chill activated and combined with Frostbound Hammer (which has a 30% Slow) you will be slowing for 45% while also reducing their Attack Speed by 15%. You will be losing the Attack Speed and Penetration from Hastened Fatalis, but you'll be gaining +25 Physical Power and +300 Health, and a Passive that has a direct synergy with Winter Chill from Frostbound Hammer. Plus, you already have a decent amount of Attack Speed with Ninja Tabi, Qin's Sais, and procs from Wind Demon.

What do you think?
