Hi I'm TheMightyT01 and this is my first guide on smite fire and I'm doing it on Hades.
I mainly play PSN and occasionally play PC but on ps4 I have Hades rank 9 so I know what I am talking about.
Hades is a Greek Mage with lots of burst but if his abilities are on cool down you need to be very careful as you can end up giving the other team a kill and potentially start feeding if played incorrectly.
Hades' normal staff attacks apply a debuff to the enemy, called Blight. This debuff stays on the target and can be refreshed. If an enemy is afflicted by Blight, each of Hades' other powers have an additional effect.
Ability Type: Debuff
Duration: 5s
Hades descends into the ground and erupts from below at his ground location, doing damage to all enemies in the area. If the enemy is Blighted, they are also slowed. Applies Blight.
Ability Type: Leap

Slow Duration: 2s
Radius: 20
Cost: 50 / 55 / 60 / 65 / 70

Hades silences all enemies in a cone in front of him. If the enemy is Blighted, they are also feared. Applies Blight.
Ability Type: Cone
Silence: 1 / 1.25 / 1.5 / 1.75 / 2s
Cost: 80
Cooldown: 15 / 14 / 13 / 12 / 11s
Hades devours the souls of his enemies, dealing damage in a radius around him. If the enemy is Blighted, the enemy explodes dealing damage to nearby enemies and healing your allies. Enemy gods only take 50% of the damage from detonating Blights. Consumes Blight.
Ability Type: Area
Damage: 75 / 115 / 155 / 195 / 235 (+70% of your magical power)
Detonated Damage: 20 / 27 / 34 / 41 / 48 (+50% of your magical power)

Hades calls to all enemy souls nearby, pulling them closer to him over time, doing damage every .5s for 4s. If the enemy is Blighted, their protections are reduced. Hades also gains protections for the duration.

Inevitably, death sends everyone to Hades, God of the Underworld. In the end, he always gets his way.
Eldest son of the Titans Cronus and Rhea, Hades was swallowed by his father as an infant along with five other siblings. Zeus, the youngest brother, escaped this fate and freed them once he’d grown strong enough to battle Cronus. Together, the six siblings defeated the Titans and banished them to the dark realm of Tartarus. Now the reigning Gods, Zeus, Poseidon, and Hades drew lots for dominion. Hades drew the Underworld.
Of the few that have entered the Underworld and come back, all speak dismally of the place, never wishing to return. Yet Hades, himself, rarely leaves the subterranean realm, constantly seeking ways to grow the numbers of the dead.
When he desired a wife, Hades captured the radiant Persephone, daughter of the Goddess Demeter. Concealed in the Underworld, none could reach her, so Demeter cursed the land with a great famine. The other Gods pleaded with her to end it lest she destroy mankind, but she would not relent until her daughter was returned. Hades finally let Persephone leave, though not before feeding her pomegranate seeds. Having consumed the fruit, she was bound forever to Hades and required to return to her husband once per year to eat of the seeds again. This, it is said, is a time of mourning and the cause of winter.
While many fear death and view it as evil, in truth, Hades endeavors only to keep balance. He is stern but fair. As God of the Dead and the Underworld, he views his authority on this matter absolute, forbidding anyone to leave his realm and growing wrathful when disobeyed or when someone tries to cheat death or steal from him.
For everyone, death is unavoidable and service to Hades inevitable. Even the Gods.
Pros
Amazing damage
Good heal
Good mid game
Doesn't take too long to get online
Cons
Has a slow early game
Struggles a little bit against tanks
Pretty Squishy without defenses.
SHOES OF THE MAGI - +45 Magical Power +10 Magical Penetration +18% Movement Speed. I like these boots for the early game pen but you can choose Shoes of focus if you want.
ROD OF TAHUTI - +125 Magical Power +15 MP5 PASSIVE - Increases Magical Power by 25%. This item is kind of self explanatory. Hades really benefits from this and its passive will help a lot early game against everyone in the game.
POLYNOMICON - +75 Magical Power+300 Mana +10% Magical Lifesteal PASSIVE - Using an ability gives your next Basic Attack within the next 8 seconds +75% of your Magical Power as additional Magical Damage. The effect can only apply once every 3 seconds. This is Hades kill secure most of the time. After your combo if your target has a low amount of health just basic attack and then you get a kill.
SOUL REAVER - +100 Magical Power +300 Mana PASSIVE - When a god takes damage from your abilities, they take 10% of their maximum Health in additional damage. If multiple gods are hit, the damage is applied to the one with the greatest maximum Health. This can only occur once every 40 seconds. This is a very good item against most gods, especially if they are stacking health because "They take 10% of their maximum Health in additional damage".
SPEAR OF DESOLATION - +120 Magical Power +20 Magical Penetration PASSIVE - If you kill an Enemy God all of your cool downs are reduced by 8 seconds. This cannot activate more than once every 30s. This is extremely handy on Hades because of the power and the passive. The extra pen helps too but that is not the main reason for buying the item.
For the final item I normally leave this as a "what do I need" item, if I need defense I get some and if I don't know I just get Bancrofts Talon but it really is your choice.
This Guide is still work in progress, I will be updating but for now this is the end of the guide. I plan on adding stuff about clearing camps, warding and much more so stay tuned
