Portal

1 X
Janus creates a portal in the world. If placed on a wall, the portal will create a passage through to the other side of the wall that Janus or any ally may use. The portal may be entered from either side, but closes after 1 use.

If placed on the ground, enemies and Janus will fall into the portal, being teleported into the air above it. Enemies take damage upon landing, and are considered banished during the fall.

Early Game

Early game is more of a mini game than a phase, Be safe and lane clear, but get poke off with "Unstable Vortex" (Your 2) whenever you can. When the enemy god stands by their ranged use your portals/1 to get them and their creeps/minions then use your two about 0.75 seconds after they fall in it.

Also mid camps.

Mid Game

Mid Game
By this time in the game you should be having some pretty good damage and look for ganks whenever one of the lanes need help. When there is a team fight participate in it of course, help your team out with objectives and if they are just doing nothing get them to do an objective. This is the part in the game where it starts transitioning out of laning phase so try to get a tower or maybe even both of them.

by this time in the game there is no excuse not to buy wards. You will need them if you are going to push for a second tower, this goes without question.

Continue to farm, but help your team if they need help because a few minion kills lost is not as bad as two kills for the enemy team.

Late Game

Late Game
Once you are level 20 you will be able to do incredible amounts of damage, but you will also be able to take incredible amounts of damage.

-Stay with your team

-Don't waste time, always be doing something and get your team to do it with you

-Fire giant buff is amazing so if your team gains it make the most out of it

-Have good positioning

Team Fight

Team Fight
-Peel enemies off of your team

-Use your two and wait for it to be off cooldown is a very nice thing for you can avoid taking damage easily by not being where the damage is dealt (THIS DOES NOT MEAN ABANDON YOUR TEAM)

-Don't clump up that just makes it easy for aoe damage

-Positioning is a big part for every god get to know Janus's because I can't teach you what only practice can

-Use your two where it will do the most damage, hit the meaty spots

-Your three is very nice for running away doing, gaining your passive, and charging

Tips!

Tips & Tricks
- Use your 1 to set up damage with your 2, escape from high damaging abilities and peel enemies off your allies. Also don't be afraid to use this to save yourself or any allies.

- Use your 2 for a very high source of damage and lane clear, if the enemy is at really low health and fleeing there is no shame in popping sprint or using your 1 to get next to them to get both hits and secure a kill.

-Your 3 can be used to speed up minions, help fleeing allies, gain your passive, increase mobility, chase and many more including rush a backdoor.

-The ult may be pretty hard to hit with its charge up and travel time, however this ult is not all about hitting,(It is very pleasant to hit it though) it is more for extreme mobility for setting things up, retreating and ganking.

-Practice

In Conclusion

Janus is a super high damaging and team oriented mid, that when used right can be one of the best mids in the game.

Meh, that item is really holding Janus back from his full potential. Trust me, Janus is mobile enough with Portal's and Threshold. It's not needed, Janus is one of the most mobile mages and doesn't benefit much from the item. My suggestion for physical defense alternatives would be Breastplate of Valor or [[ :3

Also I don't think you can rank Through Space and Time at level 12.

Oops, sorry, I threw this guide together for a friend of mine in about ten minutes. I'll be sure to fix that 0.0

I think the Winged Blade is in there as a core because it is cheap and versatile. The passive doesn't really gel with Janus, but it can really well early game for any god.

I would like to hear your decision on picking up Winged Blade and why you consider it as a "core" item. Also use some BB code in your guides! Don't just name skills by their number it does not assist newer players in growth and proving to them you know what you are talking about. Also I see some missing punctuation you should proof read your guide a little more before posting.

Also you need to go into greater detail, telling a new player "Always be doing something" "Have good positioning" You need to let them know what to be doing, and how to do so. For example "Peel enemies off your team". Could go into a greater description of using Portal for the 1.5 second displacement or using Threshold for the 40% 3 second slow. Go into greater detail, remember a large majority of guide readers are newer players. They have to learn the mechanical structure and will look to you on doing so.

Just my two cents as a experienced theory crafter. Take what you will from it! :)
