DECAY (Dark Stance) - Hel fires an orb of decay that deals damage and passes through minions. The orb will explode in a 12 unit radius if it hits a god or reaches max range.

RESTORATION (Light Stance) - Hel fires an orb of restoration that damages enemy minions and stops on gods. Hitting an enemy god deals damage. Hitting an allied god provides that god and Hel Health and Mana.

Hel and allies also gain 20% Attack Speed while the buff is active.

Intro

In the beginning of the game you are squishy so just stay back and DO NOT push to use your 3 on the dark stance on minions unless it's safe of course because you will be targeted being a healer. This build isn't for some scrub Hel, you will die if you don't know what you're doing, use your healing moves well and u have that warlock sash. On the other case if you can play Hel then sh*ts going to get real. You do the damage and can can still take a lot of hits. Also know you will have mana problems early on and if you don't like that then I recommend starting with something like chronos' pendant earlier on.

Choosing the right items

Just take in consideration who you are playing. Use common sense, use protection if you going against powerhouses, divine ruin if you going against another healer.
