What does Fafnir do?
Fafnir is the newest god in smite and he is currently in a very strong place compared to other guardians. He is extremely good at locking down targets and buffing your ADC to crazy high levels and being one of the best team fight initiators i have currently found. He has great amounts of CC with his Stun/Slow and Disarm. He can also dish out a ton of damage to the enemy if they aren't careful.
If you are looking for a conquest guide check out my previous guide
1:
Your first ability is a good stun and slow that does decent damage. you can use this as a potential disengage from a chasing assassin or a good way of stopping escapes or slowing down the enemy when they cluster together. In dragon form these effects just get better.
2:
This is your attack speed and damage buff that also heals you. you mainly want to put this on your ADC or Assassin when they are trying to take down an enemy. they nice attack speed and damage is a really useful tool for your team. In dragon form you can affect your whole team at once massively increasing damage output.
3:
This is your main escape and a useful tool for chasing and disrupting those pesky assassins and hunters. This ability gives the enemy a 2 second disarm meaning they can't attack. This is very useful against gods they rely heavily on AA damage. In dragon form this adds a damage over time and a massive range
4: Dragonic Corruption This is your ultimate. you essential turn into a big dragon killing machine. While transforming you are immune to damage and put a big DOT on all surrounding enemies. All your abilities gain a big bonus when in the form and you AA becomes a big cone they is constantly doing small amount of damage very very fast to the enemy. This is a good team fight ability and allows you to control the enemy super hard. AND it last far a very long time so you can maintain that form for an entire team fight.
PS ( These were literally copy and pasted from my other guide )

Almost any ADC is amazing with Fafnir but i will just list a couple and also some good assassins depending on their build.
She is always a good pick in most situations and your attack speed and damage steroid on top of
Vengeful Assault will result in complete devastation.
How could you not expect me to put her here? especially if she is going for a AA build! you are able to lock down opponents for her allowing easy lading of her abilities while keeping her safe.
She is good with Fafnir by her self BUT if she is going for a shredder build you will leave complete destruction where ever you go. She is already AAing really fast and if you add your Buff on top of that she is also hitting really hard!
Cupid is already feared for his massive damage and hard hitting AA but you can excel him to a complete GOD with your Buff. it is a good idea to pick up
Gem of Isolation to ensure his ult is made good use of and stop escaping enemies!
When you start off your joust match you will hopefully have a balanced team of A Guardian (You) a Mage and a ADC/Hunter . For the sake of this guide lets give it a best case scenario! Your Hunter is a Cupid and your Mage is a Sol ( I know some people consider Sol an ADC but for the sake of the guide she is a mage ) You start off like usual by getting your Mana and contesting damage. Using your hammer to stun the enemy before they take the Damage you leap in and deal the killing blow to the Camp leader and capturing the buff for your team!
After getting that strong early game advantage yo manage to get a strong EXP lead on your opponents and you are still managing to keep up on gold due to your amazing passive ( Plus 4 gold on every thing! ) Your Cupid catches the enemy team trying to sneak up from behind and he fires his Field of Hearts Ultimate blocking off their escape. You leap in disarming their hunter removing them from the fight for 2 seconds. This gives you enough time to Pop your Ultimate Dragonic Corruption and control the enemy team enough to wear your Sol and Cupid can take them down and push the first tower down.
Now you are in an amazing spot but remember TO NOT GET COCKY Seeing their Hunter walking through the jungle alone you quickly stun him while your sol comes in and blowing them up with her amazing burst damage. with the other team weakened you can easily take the Bull Demon King and push down their Phoenix!
Now only the Titan remains... you lure the enemy team out by baiting them to what seems like a lone cupid. when they move in on him you quickly jump from the jungle disarming their team and stunning the ADC while also slowing the rest of the team. Sol is easily able to hit them all with her 1 and with the enemy team down you push in FOR THE WIN
Now the example i gave was a real game using the Hybrid Hammer Time build.
List of Strategies:
Keep their ADC Controlled at all times
Buff your ADC not only when they go into a fight but also as heal for your self
Utilize your Cooldowns. DO NOT SPAM THEM. Just the enemy team knowing you have your stun ready can cause them to be cautious.
You are immune when transforming into a dragon BUT not when Turing back into a dwarf
You become a lot more damaging when in dragon form
Things Not To Do.
Spam Cooldowns
Waste your only escape
Buff yourself ( Not always but generally don't want to )
Go into Dragon form with no Mana ( I see this done all the time it doesn't end well )
I hope this has been helpful!
Keep in mind this is still a WIP and subject to change at any time!
