Introduction

Well, here is another guide from me. This one was made because, let's admit it, all new gods need at least ONE proper guide to set some standards here, not that I am saying this guide will necessarily be that one, but I might as well try. And apparently I have a thing for making guides late at night, so whatever. Anyway, please enjoy, comment and suggest, and know this guide specifically will be changed constantly and majorly as I and everyone else plays her more, and sees new possibilities with her. So, with that said, enjoy.

Pros / Cons

Pros:

Great Pusher
High mana
Good HP5
Has a stun

Cons:

Squishy
Not as fast as some of the other gods
Doesn't have a proper escape skill

Items

Shoes of Focus:

I use the Shoes of Focus instead of the Shoes of the Magi simply because of the CDR. This is personal preference for me, and if you wanted to, you could easily just use the shoes of magi for the extra penetration.

Book of Thoth:

I buy the Book of Thoth next to add a bit more umph to Nu Wa. While the added MP5 and mana is nice, what I really like is the Magical Power boost that you get when you have full stacks. Again, this is partly preference, and there are other viable options for people who like to play differently.

Telkhines Ring:

This item is basically a must on Nu Wa due to her reliance on her basic attack. With the fire crystal active from using flame strike and this item, you do much more damage with your basic attack, as well as getting a nice bit of Attack Speed and Magical Protection from Telkhines Ring.

Polynomicon:

I get the Polynomicon because of two main things. It's lifesteal, which you really need, and something I should probably add more of, and it's passive, which lets you do much more damage after you use a skill, and since you use your basic attack so much, this item is perfect for Nu Wa, especially after using flame strike.

Demonic Grip:

Five words. Basic attack & Attack Speed. This is what this item is for you, and you should be happy to have it. Normally, it just gives you more Attack Speed and Magical Power, but when maxed, you get another passive to buff up your basic attacks, this one lowering the enemies Magical Protection, and lets you do more damage to them.

Focused Void Stone:

Now here is where I come to a crossroad. Do I want a Focused Void Stone or a Obsidian Shard, or some other item? Well, if you need some extra defense because you are dying too much, get a Focused Void Stone, since it also gives you some Penetration and Magical Power along with that defense.

Obsidian Shard:

However, if you are doing fine, and want to do even MORE damage to the enemy gods, you should get an Obsidian Shard since not only does it give you 70 Magical Power, it gives you 33% Penetration, which is a gift that just keeps giving.

Actives

To be added.

Skills

elemental crystals:

This is your passive, and really, there isn't much to comment on about it. It basically tells you that whenever you use an ability, a corresponding crystal actives and gives you a bonus for 10 seconds. However, one thing to note is that you have one crystal constantly active, that one being the Wood Crystal, which gives you a 10 HP5 buff. Another thing that you must remember is that, when all five crystals are activated, you transform into your snake form, and your crystals refresh for another 10 seconds. This is where timing comes in, as you have to activate your last crystal before any of your other crystal buffs end, while also making sure you WANT to transform into your snake form at that moment.

fog:

This skill is the closest thing that Nu Wa has to an escape, though it has many purposes to it. First off you should know that you, and your allies as well, are stealthed when you are in the radius of the fog. However, it only moves at 95% of your speed, so make sure to not out run it and render it useless to you. Also, the stealth is broken if you attack, and comes back when you are no longer in your aggressive stance. The fog lasts for 8 seconds, and also has one other neat ability. Any enemies caught within the fog are damaged for 10/20/30/40/50 + 10% of your Magical Power. Note that this does not break the stealth. The final thing that this skill does is that it activates the Water Crystal which gives you 10/15/20/25/30% Movement Speed.

You should use fog when you are trying to sneak by an enemy god, need an extra speed boost to either catch up to, or run away from an enemy god, activate the Water Crystal, or help one of your allies escape by stealthing them while they either fall back or recall.

Clay Soldiers:

This skill summons some soldiers to fight for you. However, they do not have much health, only having 200 + 20% of your maximum health, and they don't do much damage either. However, you can summon up to five of them, being able to summon one more with each skill point you put into it. However, they only last 8 seconds like fog. The other thing that this skill does is activating the Earth Crystal, which gives you a 10/15/20/25/30 Physical Protection bonus.

You should use this skill when you are about to face a minion wave for the extra defense, and the extra minions to help push. You should also use it in conjunction with fog to distract the enemies and give you some extra defense as well. Also, you should use it at an appropriate time if you simply want to activate the Earth Crystal.

flame strike:

This is your main damaging ability, as well as your stun. One unique thing about it is that it can stun structures, as well as enemies, though the stun only lasts for 1 second, so you have to make it count. Another unique thing about this ability is that it does more damage the closer you are to the enemy with point blank range doing 1.5x the damage. Once hit by either the initial blast, or hit by one of your basic attacks afterwards, enemies are ignited for 5/10/15/20/25 + 10% of your Magical Power, and the ignite lasts for 2 seconds. On top of that, it activates your Fire Crystal which lets your basic attacks hit enemies withing a 15ft range for 50% damage.

This ability should be used right after you use Clay Soldiers for the added damage, and the Fire Crystal. You should also use this ability right before/after one of your teammates uses their stun, so you get a longer stun duration. Try to use it in conjunction with your allies ults to do more damage. One main combo to keep in mind is Clay Soldiers > fog > flame strike.

pillars of heaven:

This ability is one you should always be aware of whether it is on cooldown or not. First off, it basically traps your enemies in a rectangle like shape, where if they pass through one of the sides, they take 100/200/300/400/500 + 50% of your Magical Power, and they are slowed 35/40/45/50/55% for 3 seconds. Along with that, it activates your Metal Crystal which gives you 2x Basic Attack damage.

This ability should be used constantly, and intelligently. For instance, if you had a Zeus on your team, you should collaborate with him so that you both use your ults in the same area for maximum effect. By that I mean, you place down your box, and he drops his thunderstorm right above it. They get hurt by leaving the box, AND by the other ult. It is the same thing with Fenrir and his ult. If you place down your box, he can grab an enemy and simple keep running back and forth through the wall, doing damage to the enemy all the while. The list for the ult, and normal skill, combinations just keeps going on. Another thing that this can be used for is an escape or a way to keep an enemy FROM escaping. If you were to place it behind you as you run away, if the enemy goes through it, they would be slowed, and you can simply fog out of there. On the other hand, if the enemy tries running away, you can plop it down right in front of them, and they just might run through a wall and get slowed, becoming easy pickings for you and your team.

Game Phases

Start:

One thing to note, Nu Wa should NOT go solo or jungle as for as I am concerned. She simply doesn't have the skill set to be able to solo/jungle consistently, and on top of that, she is a pusher, not a jungler. With that being said, early game for her is fairly simple, push. With a good laning partner you should be able to push and poke the enemy fairly well without dying too much, if at all.

Mid Game:

At this point you should have been able to damage or destroy at least one of the enemy towers, and might have even gotten a few kills as well. At this point in the game, you should try to keep doing what you are doing, but keep an eye out for teammates that are in need of assistance. However, if by this time in the game you have destroyed both the enemy towers in your lane, then you should attempt to go help your teammates with their towers. Remember to always look towards mid to see if they need help. Overall, during this phase, you push, and sometimes gank.

Late Game:

At this point you should be finishing off the enemy towers in your lane, if you haven't finished them off already that is. With them gone, your best bet is to wander around a bit and push whichever lane you see needs a hand, or doesn't have any enemy gods defending it. Remember, your job is to push, and with Clay Soldiers to take the hits from the tower and flame strike to stun said tower, you should be able to do your job fairly well. Like the previous phase, overall you should be pushing and ganking.

Remember, this section is susceptible to change depending on what I figure out as I continue to play her, and figure out more about her.

Best Friends and Worst Enemies.

To be added.

Final Notes

As you can see, this guide is lacking as this IS a new god, and I haven't had much time to truly experiment with her. However, like my other guide, I will make sure to update this consistently, and frequently as myself and others use her more often and figure out how to play her well. Don't forget to comment with suggestions, questions, hate, love, apathy, whatever really. Also, don't forget to check out my other guide as well. Click the picture below to go there.

Flight of the Bumblebee

12/8/13 Note: It is getting a bit late here, and I am getting tired, so I am going to leave out some BBcoding, as well as sections, that I will surely come back to add. Feel free to suggest places in which I could add some and such. Also, if anyone would do me the favor of listing some more Pros/Cons, I would appreciate that quite a bit.

No Rod? Seems odd. (lol, the rhymes)

Your pros and cons section is odd. Only the "great pusher" bit makes any sense, since all the others are just generic mage pros/cons. Maybe "low damage?"

Your gameplay is bad. It has literally no guiding. It just says "push," "by now you should have," and "keep doing what you are doing."

I like the detail you put into the skills part, even if I don't agree with some of it.

Like TT said, you put more effort into this than all the other 1st day guides. While it doesn't deserve a downvote, it sure as hell doesn't deserve an upvote. I'll check in on this in a few days.

Clearly much more effort put into this than most of the other ones so far, so that alone gets it my upvote.

What I like most is that you do a pretty good job of explaining her skills, which I rarely see. It's also clear which spells you prioritize, although it's too early in her release for me to know whether or not I actually agree with you. For the most part, it seems good.

Build seems solid.

BBCoding is solid.

Looks as if you'll update over time.

Can't give you +2, sorry :,(

Thanks for the first comment. And, yeah the spells were something that I just went "eh" with due to her being what, three days old as of now? I am sure that they are going to be tweeked and twisted, maybe even turned a bit. Also, yes, I do plan on updating this guide, though currently, I am going to try and update my other guide with some more information first, since I have a more information for said other guide. Hope this guide continues to please and help you as well as everyone else.
