you'll poor your points into your 2 first, then your 1, then your 3, and finally your 4. Put all of your points into your 1, 2, and 4. Don't bother with your 3.
The biggest mistake I see most tyr players make is assuming tyr is your standard bruiser and not taking advantage of his stances. Being able to switch stances and reset your move cool downs should be the main focus of your build. Doing so allows you to not only have tons of sustain in team fights but also to even more burst damage. The tactics behind playing tyr is that the majority of your game should be you spitting out your 1 and 2 at people. First build cool down, then power, and finally if need be magi's blessing if the stuns are to much or protection if your getting your *** handed to you. Tyr's kit doesn't really allow him to be played or build as a traditional bruiser, while you can take some damage don't bother trying to be a mobile tank. Use your 1 2 combo to cc your opponents. Also don't forget to always stoke up on mana potions and the mana buff since your gonna be spitting out your abilities constantly. Most of all PROTECTION IS NOT NECESSARY, with max cooldown and your 2 in the defensive stance being a heal, you can easily rapidly heal yourself. If you play smart, you'll never need to build protection.
