Introduction

THIS IS A BUILD MORE THAN A GUIDE BUT I EXPLAIN HOW TO PROPERLY USE THE BUILD. My name is KillerXDpro, I've been playing Smite for around a year or so and I have 1000+ in game experience. This is my first build guide so please feel free to comment your opinions, but don't be so harsh on me. I used to be a solo laner but recently changed to jungle because It's truly the position where I'm comfortable in. Mercury is in all honesty one of my best junglers and I must warn you that this build may or may not work for you due to the fact that everyone has different play-styles. My style is very aggressive, I go in for the kill and then I go out as simple as that. I always try to go for the mages first because they are the real damage dealers in that back-line and with this build I can assure you that my kills are extremely fast and clean. It's up to you to go Lifesteal or not I normally don't do it just because we tend to have a healer on the team who is constantly helping us, and early game is just use pods or Bumba's passive to heal.

Items

Alright, so you want to start with Bumba's and Bluestone because it gives you a decent wave clear and a good jungle camp clear. It also provides you with the +50 Mana and +50 Health, with the additional +20 power and MP5. As third you want to go Swift wing and if you can by the tier 2 boots then go for it. The reason why you want to go Swift is to take advantage of Merc's passive in the early game while also providing you some hp5 and 100 health to sustain more in the jung, besides the movement speed that also ups your damage. After this you want to go with Wind Demon because come on, we all know Merc is a Crit abuser and this procs well with his 2. After it you want to to with Hydra's Lament, why? Because with Merc you want to hit your 1 and get up close with your 2 literally deleting that opposing mid laner when you hit him with those procd Hydra's basic attacks. After that you want to go Heartseeker for the extra movement speed (which gives you damage), for the 10 physical pen and the 20 damage . But the real reason why you want it is for that passive that procs with your 1 so well. So in other words your 1 procs Crit, Hydra's and Heartseeker. Now you want to go Brawlers because of that 15 pen more than anything else, besides the other team probably has a healer .Now its time to go for the total ANALhilation item. By this I mean Deathbringer, which procs with your 1 and ups those crits to deal 1400 damage to those without defense. Now you have a 40% chance and with your attack speed from wind demon and your 2 you should hit crits pretty often. When you sell the starter items sell Bumba's first, Bluestone Second and Swift Wings third. In the case of the LS build the only difference is to go Bloodforge instead of Hearseeker, its a more expensive item but it gives you 75 power with LS
