Introduction

Hi everybody, I'm Pomfrith, and I'm here to show you a strong and funny build for Fenrir, The Unbound. This build is focused on basics attacks, and you will mostly use your skills to reach ennemies, stun them with Unchained, or keep you close to them with Brutalize and Ragnarok. It's not a common way to play him, but it works pretty good for me, and I hope you will like it too !

I will first talk about advices and mecanics which can help you with fenrir, then I will explain the spcificities of the different builds.

PS : This build is not "The best build ever" for fenrir, but it is funny to play, and makes fenrir work like an adc. I won't explain a perfect build, but the build I usually take and which is strong and interesting in my opinion.

How does Fenrir works ?

With these builds, you have a lot of attack speed (you reach 2.34 with the first build) and you make a lot of damage due to your power (with transcendence), your penetration and attack speed. You will be very powerfull early game and late game, but not in the same way.

Early game, you will have to make damage with your Brutalize, which will be your priority. With trascendence, and the penetration with asi, this skill will make a lot of damage. If you are on a single target, don't forget to activate your seething Howl (2nd priority), which will give you more power and more damage.

Mid game, you will see that your basic attacks begin to deal more damage than your brutalize. Here is the transition. After Asi, whatever you take after that, you will need to hit with your basic attacks. So you will going to need mobility. The stun on your Unchained is great, because it gives you the time to activate your Seething Howl and deal some damage before your ennemy tries to run. Then reach him with Brutalize, and cancel it with right click if he hasn't a dash. If He is low life or has a dash, don't cancel your brutalize, it will make the work for you. Always be careful of the ennemy's abilities (dash or jump ?). If he has a jump, wait for him to use it, and only use your brutalize after that.
Remember that your brutalize is strong, but your basic attacks provide lifesteal, crits if you build with rage/deathbringer, and are faster than the animation of Brutalize.

Late game, you will be a real death-machine. In a 1v1 fight, against an adc for example, you will totally crush him with basic attacks, but you need to hit with all of your attacks, and you must not be stunned, or you will die very hard, because you are VERY squishy. The only thing thats keeps you alive is your LIFESTEAL. This is almost the only thing you must think about, especially if you are building crits, because if your Seething Howl is active, you can heal yourself for 400hp with only one hit (your crits deal 550 damage, and your lifesteal is about 65%).
If you take some tankyness, you will have more survavilibity. But be careful, because you will have less power than a crit build or an attack speed build.

Let's Talk abour the builds !

Firt talk about the skill order. Pick your Brutalize first, because it makes a lot of damage in a large zone (good for clean jungle and minions wave). Then Pick your Unchained, to Harass your opponents. Pick one more level in your Brutalize, then one in your 2, to have a little more power.

All of these builds generally work in the same way, and you will chose the 3 last items compared to what you like the most :

- Crits and Huge burst

- A lot of attack speed (like Bakasura)
->These 2 are pratically the same, they make you very powerful but squishy

- A little bit of tankyness if you want to have more survavibility

So chose your favourite, and enjoy !

Skill priority :

1: Ragnarok (ultimate), some people think that it's useless, but I think it is a good idea to upgrade Ragnarok, because the target in your ultimate will take additionnal damage, and this will ensure you to bring a kill, and not having wasted your ultimate.

2: Brutalize, because his damage is huge early game.

3: Seething Howl, which gives a lot of physical power (70) and lifesteal (35%), this is the ability that will make you very strong mid/late game

4: Unchained, this ability is very interesting and very important, but I use it mostly for the stun that it provides, and the stun duration doesn't increase if you max your Unchained.

Pros / Cons

- Pros :

> You have a lot of power
> You are effective during the whole game : skill based in early game and basic attack based mid and late game
> You can go 1v2 if you have beads and survive (and potentially make one or double kill xD)
> A lot of attack speed is very funny !
> You are even more powerful than an ADC

- Cons :

> You are VERY squishy
> Crowd Control and burst are your biggest ennemies
> You MUST have beads if you don't go Magi's Blessing, and you need sprint to chase your ennemies if you don't go Hastened Fatalis.
> You need your allies to support you because you are like an ADC (you need a tank or a healer)
> Ennemies will hate and focus you, because Fenrir is a God who draws attention with his skills, and you must be very close to fight. Furthermore if you are fed, the will focus you even harder to shut you down

I was just saying because the executioner provides penetration already and unless their whole team builds tank it's kinda useless to have a lot of pen.

Fenrir's abilities give him a lot of mobility, to reach an ennemy or run, but don't help you to keep you close to them to do your basic attacks. Sprint helps you to move very fast and prevents slow from ennemies' abilities, and makes it easier to you to dodge attacks and basic attack at the same time.

Blink is more for the initiation, instead of Unchained with max runes for example. The surprise effect is even stronger, and you conserve your abilities and above all your runes.

Finally I don't want to be disrespectful, but giving me a build that you think being the best don't help me at all and is useless. I mean I'm here to post my Build, so I don't really care of yours, I won't change my build and put yours, or this would be absurd. I really like advices, the ones you told me were good, but not this one I think, because this page is for my build, so proposing your own build is quite useless.

Furthermore, the build you propose is very good, and I think it's one of the best for a basic-attack-Fenrir, but it has already been posted (Okami's build for example is pratically the same), so it would be very useless for me to post a very similar build. This build the most common, and that is why I wanted, and I would even say that it's why I must propose a different build.

Anyway, thanks for your comment, even if it wasn't very positive, I like comments tho xD

PS : transcendence gives you more power, mana is always good with any god, and fenrir uses it very fast if he is agressive, and finally, Asi gives enough lifesteal, because fenrir has a huge lifesteal buff on his Seething Howl, and Asi provides penetration, so I don't think it's a waste

I don't see why you need sprint or blink to catch enemies since three of Fenrir's abilities can chase with ease. They're getting away? Unchained to jump and Brutalize to reach them. Its not too hard, and if its REALLY that hard to chase them you can always use Ragnarok.

I also have a hard time agreeing with Transcendence, if you can play Fenrir right, you don't even need mana. I find that Devourer's Gauntlet is MUCH more useful as it provides power and lifesteal. If I were to use this build as reference I would probably build something like Warrior Tabi, Devourer's Gauntlet, The Executioner, Magi's Blessing, Rage, and Deathbringer

The first build, with full attack speed is more for fun than to be very strong. I tested it many times and it's always a cool and unusual way to play fenrir (he reminds me of bakasura with this build). I play the two other builds more often but I wanted to put the three builds on the same pedestal, because I feel there are all viable.

2.34 is still overcapped, which means the build is inefficient. In addition, Ichaival is much more of an early game item for hunters, since it focuses on boxing physical assailants. In a teamfight, that passive will be half useless. Just a thought. You're welcome, though, and I hope this guide goes somewhere :)

Yes this guide doesn't seem "finished" but this is my first guide ever, I'm not yet familiar with this site.

I don't agree with you on one point. I think the full attack speed build isn't bad, because every attack speed item porvides a passive effect that is iteresting, and you reach 2.34 attack speed, which isn't to high. Transcendence gives you enough power, and I didn't have any problem of lack of power. Fenrir also have a boost of 70 physical power and 35% lifesteal so i don't feel there is a power deficiency.

Anyway, thank you for your comment, really helps me x) I will try to refine my guide, because it doesn't seem complete

This build is a good start, but it's inefficient. Building Asi, The Executioner, Ichaival, and Qin's Sais will dreadfully overcap you on attack speed, and you barely have any power or crit. In addition, Qin's Sais isn't very good right now besides countering 3+ guardians - it has transformed from a staple to a niche counter item with the nerfs to its passive in Season 2. Also, this guide has no BBcoding, and looks like a wall of text. I'm not going to vote either way right now, since the guide seems rough. For the record, I would build Warrior Tabi, Transcendence, Magi's Blessing, The Executioner, Rage, and Deathbringer if you're going for an auto=attack build. Good luck revising this!
