I'm brand new to the Smitefire community and this is my first ever build for my favourite god of all time Xbalanque. I've played smite on xbox one ever since beta and I've fallen in love with it with every day I get the chance to play, it's a totally different experience from most games. I've played Xbalanque as my main character for forever it seems, His abilities are very useful and if used correctly can easily match some of the strongest characters in this game. My main aim being diamond tier and nearly 3k kills under my belt is to spread my knowledge with new players looking to master a challenging but rewarding ADC without further adue!!!
When it comes to Xbalanque you want to be getting Transcendence as soon as possible to optimise the ability to stack and get further ahead. It's very useful and quite essential for Xbalanque as he has a very mana hungry early game due to his 1 requiring 6 mana per bola.
Next comes Warrior Tabi which is quite a common pick for ADC with season 3 as it gives a large amount of power for a relatively low price early game it also provides the much needed movement speed in which Xbalanque uses to chase down his targets to provide stacks for his passive.
Next comes the more controversial part of this build I usually roll with soul eater as it provides a reasonable amount of movement speed based on how many stacks it has which is again useful for maintaining in a group fight scenario but it is also useful in the sense that it enables you to out pace most characters, Alternatively if you feel more confident in your abilities Asi is always there as an option it gives significantly less survivability in a group fight as you are gathering less health per hit but on the plus side you are hitting significantly harder due to the +15 penetration that it provides which can be useful in scenarios where you are melting tanks.
I tend to go for a crit hit item in this slot as it provides a large proportion of damage as if you are ahead with fully stacked transcendence and his passive. I choose deathbringer as expensive as it is, it provides a large amount of power and with this build up to this point you are looking at around 343 basic hit (using his 1 obviously!!!!)
Next item is usually where I start to turn my attention to what the team has built so far and ways in which to counter those items. I also tend to start to play a lot more aggressive against the enemy adc and support looking for chances to kill and feed off the midlaner if I'm ahead.. I tend to choose Qin sai's or Executioner.. if the team is slightly more tanky with a lot of hit points Quin's sai's is definitely the way to go as It hits for a large proportion of their max hp when Executioner tends to just melt through their defences more gradually requiring a lot more precision in your shots and you have to be on that target for a while before a kill is actually achievable.. (tbh I do that from the start because I'm a douche)
Lastly we wrap things up with malice which when combined with the passive of Quin's sai's its pretty much gg... follow my build up to this point and you'll be hitting around 980 crit damage with occasional bursts into the 1000's and you'll melt through everything in your way..
Xbalanque's biggest weakness is being stunned and being shut down early game so you really need to play it careful, try to avoid scenario's where you are outnumbered and never be afraid to use the cover of your ult to engage and to escape a fight using your 3 as a main escape.
I usually start with Charged morning star and 3 mana and health pots which gives me quite a safe start.
My relic tends to be something like meditation.. even if there is an Ares... ;) not many people tend to realise but His 3 is actually CC immune during the animation at max height.. time it properly... make them mad;)
This is all I had time for at the second and I will consistently be adding more details to tactics and preferred teams for a ADC Xbalanque.
