Solo-Bek

Hey everyone, this is a build that has become a staple for me when playing as Sobek. I normally play arena, however I have had some success playing conquest with this build. however, after some discussion this build will become a build for Solo Sobek

I dont feel as if this is a ground breaking build in any way, shape, or form. I would just like some constructive input on my build. Suggestions towards other items that I can substitute into my build to make it stronger would be greatly appreciated.

Now down to business. This build requires early game Mana management because I would normally be taking Pen boots as my first item, or if I'm playing conquest Watcher's Gift, stage 1 boots, and hp/mp pots. Regardless of the game mode I always take Meditation first (i usually take curse at level 12). Once the Pen boots are built, I build Breastplate of Valor. This as I'm sure most players know will give very good physical protection as well as a decent amount of mana and 20% CDR. Following BPoV I build the Dynasty plate helm. Which gives some Magical Power as well as more physical protections, and some more penetration. At this stage I will have fairly low Magical Protections and I will build Genji's Guard. This will bring me up to 30% CDR, as well as give me a large number of Magical protections and some mana regeneration. In my opinion the passive is also very beneficial to Sobek. The fifth item I build is Void Stone, which gives me more magical power and more magical protections while also giving me the aura effect of reduced enemy protections. The final item I build is Mantle of Discord. This completes the CDR reducing as well as giving a decent chunk of Physical and Magical protections and a strong passive.

So in an attempt to summarize this build enables myself and other players to hit fairly hard, while remaining decently tanky. The cons I feel are a slower start because the player is forced to conserve mana and be slightly less aggressive. On top of that, at level 20 you will have just barely over 2000 HP. Which means you cannot over extend or make a mistake when reading a play.

Thanks for reading.

The problem with this build is that you have no health at all. At level 20, you will still be at 2000 health, which is bad for a tank. Yes you have protections, but its most effective to combine protections with health so other enemies with pen dont screw you over.

Because sobek doesnt have high base damage outside of his ult, unlike cabraken or ***ba I'd suggest against pen.

Sobek is very good at sustain and setup. If he catches 1 person out of position, and his team reacts, that person is dead. Being able to do this often is important, so the max cdr is good, but this build also overcaps.

Might I suggest replacing pen boots with cdr boots, then right away you have 40% cdr with your first 3 items. Because your protections are decent an no longer need cooldown, Id also suggest getting rid of mantle because its expensive and replacing it with ethereal staff instead.

You will hit harder, have more health and mana, and save a ton of gold,

I remember back before ethereal got nerfed that i used to use it. But i kind of drifted away from it when its passive as qell as health gained were knocked down. I will give it another go however. What would you suggest as my 6th item? Would Urchin be a good pick as it gives health, mana, and protections? Of course i would probably have to build Urchin before the other items to try and maximize the Passive.

I usually run boots tier 1, finish urchin, then finish boots, breatplate, gengis, spear of the magus, and ethereal. Build works for both sobek and xing.

If you want more survivability, get winged blade and bulwark instead of spear and ethereal. Again, your goal is setup and cooldown over pen and power.
