Alright. I might not be the best chronos player out there, but I know what his kit does and his combos.
I personally love this god as the ability to manipulate time really intrigues me. He also kinda reminds me of a character that is from an anime that I watch.
I hope you find this as a well made guide to my boy, Chronos.
So, before I go over how and why I build him like he is and why I upgrade the abilities like I do, Im going to go over the Time God himself.
Passive-
Information - The wheel of time is always spinning and for Chronos, it is no different. Depending on where the wheel is when activating Accelerate, it provides a different benefit to Chronos.
Section I: Heal 1.5% Max Health per Second
Section II: 100% Mana Refund On Abilities
Section III: +20% Magical Power
Section IV: +35% Magical Power Contribution to Basic Attacks
First Ability-
Information - Chronos creates a rift in time, damaging all enemies in the area.
Damage: 80/125/170/215/260 (+85% of your magical power)
Ability Type: Ground Target
Radius: 10
Cooldown: 5 seconds
Cost: 50/55/60/65/70 Mana
Second Ability -
Information - Chronos accelerates himself over time, allowing him to move faster initially and gain speed over time. While active, his Attack Speed is increased and he is not affected by the attacking movement speed debuff. This ability also stops the Wheel of Time
Movement Speed: 20% initial + 4/8/12/16/20% over time
Attack Speed: 15/20/25/30/35%
Lifetime: 7s
Ability Type: Buff
Cooldown: 17 seconds
Cost: 60/65/70/75/80 mana
Third Ability -
Information - Shooting forward spinning gears of time, any enemies hit by Chronos' attack have their Attack and movement speed slowed to a Stun, taking damage on the initial hit and again when they are stunned.
Damage 60/100/140/180/220 (+80% of your magical power)
Stun: 1s
Ability Type: Line
Cooldown: 18/17/16/15/14 seconds
Cost: 65/70/75/80/85 mana
Ultimate Ability -
Information - Chronos travels through time to where he was 8 seconds ago, gaining Health and Mana back to the values of that time. All of his Cooldowns are instantly reset as well.
Ability Type: Leap
Cooldown: 120/110/100/90/80 seconds
Cost: 100 mana
Alright,
So for your skills, as Chronos, you will start off with your 1.Your 1 does a lot of damage as you upgrade it. This is your wave clear.
Now for the next ability to upgrade, this is all personal preference. I like to upgrade my 2nd ability
But I see some people upgrading their 3, Play around with it.
So the reason as to why I upgrade the ult last is because of the way I play. I play agressive late game but in the early and mid game, I play passive. If I play passive, I wont need to pop my ult a lot. Your also building some cooldown, so its all good.
Im just going to be going going over the Soul start as the builds are practically the same thing.
Starter Item
Soul Stone is just a really good item, especially for Chronos. If you hit an enemy with a basic attack, you get some MP5. When you hit someone 5 times, your next ability deals +60 magic damage.
First Item
Shoes of Focus is a good item on Chronos because it gives cooldown and it has a lot of damage early on now. It also gives +250 mana, which is very good for Chronos who may sometimes need to spam his abilities.
Second Item
Book of Thoth is one of my favorite items for Chronos. The fact that you get a lot of mana and damage make it a good item. However, there is a downfall to this item. If your doing bad, I say for you to not build this item. Instead you can get Demonic Grip.
Third Item
Polynomicon is such a good item. I say this because of how well it works with Chronos and his kit. If you time his Second Ability perfectly on the Fourth Section, you get so much damn damage. This is typicall where Chronos deals out good damage.
Fourth Item(s)
Now you can get two items for this part. This usually depends on how you do during the game. I typically get Pythagorems Piece if there is another mage on my team that does good damage. Pythags is really good because it still gives you that amazing aura of 30 magical power and 15% magical lifesteal.
If your the only magical god on your team, I suggest getting Demonic Grip because it gives you some magical penetration and attack speed so you can get your basics out.
Fifth Item
Obsidian Shard is just a good item for nearly every single mage. It gives you some good percentage pain and some decent power. It was reduced to 60 magical power but 10 power doesn't really do much.
Sixth Item
Rod of Tahuti. What to say about this item, man. This item is just essential for nearly every mage. It gives 125 magical power plus it increased your magical power by 25%. ALSO, this item actually multiplies the base basic attack damage of a god by 1.25 i.e. basic attack damage goes from "base damage + 20% of power" to "base damage*1.25 + 20% of power". So this makes your basics do even more damage!
Anyways, this was my Chronos build guide. I hope you enjoyed it and I will try to update this much as possible. Peace.
