Intro to the guide

Hi guys, SteelEagle here with a guide for the god Bakasura! (This guide is mainly for Domination matches and has not been tested in Arena or Conquest XP) Before we get into specifically Baka, I have three rules I have for ALL of the gods:

3 RULES OF MY GUIDES:
1. Always keep healing potions and mana potions on hand, you'll never know when you're going to run out of mana or you're going to get ganked and end up low on health.
2. NEVER lane alone, if there are 2 gods on your tail or whatever you have a very low chance of surviving that encounter.
3. NEVER, EVER, overextend if you have half health or less don't go for that Ymir or whatever, once again low chance of surviving the fight. (I have learned the hard way ._.)
Have fun and hope this guide will help you to the glory of winning a match!

EDIT [4/13/2013]
I have taken your guy's suggestions and adjusted the build. I've tested it in some games and found out it works better! Also, I've made a strategy for Conquest! Later on I may add in a strategy for Arena, Joust, or the newest mode, Assault. So I guess thank you for advising me. Hope you guys like it. Where would I be without you! ^-^

Bakasura's Lore

A horrendous demon with a bottomless appetite for human flesh, Bakasura is a nightmare come to life.

After committing countless atrocities, Bakasura has demonstrated no end to his depravity, no limits to his brutality, no sating his desire to slurp human meat, crunch bone, and guzzle hot blood. So many are his vile victories over mankind that they cannot be relayed here, yet it his defeat at the hands of a man that is worth the telling.

According to the Hindu epic, the Mahabharata, the famous Pandava brothers were traveling in exile with their mother, Kunti, when they came to the village Ekachakra. Disguised as brahmins, they sought alms from the villagers in order to sustain themselves. They soon learned that a demon, Bakasura, was living outside the village, devouring the people as they passed through the woods. The chief went to the demon and begged that the feasting stop. In return, a cart of food would be sent to Bakasura each day. Bakasura consumed not only the provisions, but the person that brought the cart as well.

After hearing this tale from a weeping woman whose son would bear the cart on the morrow, Kunti declared that her son Bheema, who possessed impossible strength and had slain demons before, would take the cart instead, as repayment to the kindness the villagers had shown their family.

Once in the forest, Bheema nonchalantly ate the food intended for Bakasura. Furious, Bakasura threatened to eat Bheema, which he just laughed off, goading the demon to attack him. All day they battled until Bheema finally slew the demon, tied him to the cart and dragged the body back to the village, where the people celebrated the victory in bewilderment.

Hunger, however, is a demon that cannot be defeated and, inevitably, Bakasuras disgusting rumble will rise again, now more ravenous than ever and ready to feed.

Items to Buy and Order to Buy Them In

Two of your best allies in your battle to achieve greatness are the store and your build. If you have the wrong build for your god, you're in for a surprise..and if you're the only carry for your team, yeah, your team is doomed to lose. In summary you will need the right build for the right god if you want to do well. And here's is one of many great builds for Bakasura (What a wonderful transition?..DON'T JUDGE ME):

Start of with a level in Fatalis and in Devourer's Gloves. These will surely benefit in the long run by being able to start with faster attack speed, movement speed ( not too much though, and lifesteal.

Fatalis
COST: 580/570/990
ATTACK SPEED: +10/20/30%
MOVEMENT SPEED: +4/7/10&

PASSIVE - Each basic attack hit increases your movement and attack speed by 3% for 3 seconds (max. 4 stacks). Also, you no longer move slower when moving backwards.

Devourer's Gloves Devourer's Gloves
PRICE: 705/860/585
PHYSICAL POWER: +10/20/30
PHYSICAL LIFESTEAL: +4/7/10%

PASSIVE - You permanently gain +.5 Physical Power and +.25% Physical Lifesteal per stack, and receive 1 stack per minion kill. (max. 40 stacks)

Continue ranking these up until full. Then, buy Soul Eater and Rage for more lifesteal and attack speed, but in addition Rage will improve critical strike chance and S.E. will give additional health. I would recommend ranking up S.E. fully before Rage because of the high cost of Rage.

Soul Eater
COST: 630/470/900
HEALTH: +100/200/300
PHYSICAL LIFESTEAL: +5/10/15%
ATTACK SPEED: +5/7/10%

AURA - +10 Physical Power and +10% Physical Lifesteal to all allies within 30 feet.

Rage
PRICE: 915/915/925
PHYSICAL POWER: +5/15/20
CRITICAL STRIKE CHANCE: +10/20/30%
ATTACK SPEED: +5/10/15%

PASSIVE - If your in hand does not crit, your critical strike chance increases by 5% (max. 10 stacks). Resets on successful crit.

Now that you have S.E. and Rage, there will be no use to have Fatalis anymore because of the two increasing Attack Speed as you rank them up, so sell Fatalis and instead finish off with more Physical Power and Crit. Chance with Deathbringer (Liking the new art it has, won't show here) and Qin's Blades.

Deathbringer
PRICE: 840/1310/1000
PHYSICAL POWER: +15/32/50%
CRITICAL STRIKE CHANCE: +0/10/20%

PASSIVE - Critical strike damage is increased by 50%.

Qin's Blades
PRICE: 700/810/1140
HEALTH: +50/100/150
PHYSICAL POWER: +10/20/30
ATTACK SPEED: 0/10/25%

PASSIVE - On basic attack hits, deal physical damage equal to 2.5% of the target's maximum health. This only affects gods.

Actives, Actives, Actives..

Actives, actives, actives.. Actives can change your fate of victory or defeat, whether you use one to get away, or use one to evade a powerful ultimate, actives can change the fate of the game. These actives will really help Bakasura in battle or getting to battle.

First active to get is Sprint Sprint, this will help you get out of the spawn and back to position fast, catch a fast enemy (or one also using Sprint), or escape from a battle with a sand guardian, god, minions, etc. Overall, Sprint is a pretty useful active to purchase at the store.

This is a tie between two: Aegis Amulet and Purification Beads.

Aegis Amulet is good to have when a tank does his ultimate, like Ares and Ymir their Ultimate are hard to escape and do MASSIVE damage. The Aegis Amulet would be able to save you from a 1-hit KO.

Purification Beads is good to have when someone stuns you and you're in a bad situation, like Thor's and Hades's stuns. You can escape a gank and escape the stun with the Purification Beads.

After all this store guide stuff, did you remember to buy some Healing and Mana Potions?

Enough with the Store Talk, It's Time for... Abilities!

Bakasura has some great abilities with him, but you need to use them and upgrade them right. At the beginning of a domination battle you have 3 levels at start, upgrade all three non-ultimate moves, honestly you don't need to upgrade your ultimate at all. Start by upgrading all three abilities you'll want all of them. After that, focus your priority on Butcher Blades or the #3 ability, sometimes when its two levels above the other abilities you have no choice other than upgrade your other abilities, when this happens alternate between Eat Minion and Take Down. Once Butcher Blades is full, start upgrading Take Down and then Eat Minion. Since we're not upgrading the ultimate, Eat Minion just gives you a bit more speed and restores your health, while Take Down can be used to initiate a fight, get out of a fight, take down two of the small minions at the buffs, or get back in the field fast. Here are the stats of Bakasura's Abilities:

Passive Ability: Insatiable Hunger
Bakasura's attack speed increases by 4% for each enemy that he kills. The buff lasts for 10 seconds and can stack up to 5 times.

Ability #1: Take Down
Bakasura leaps to his ground target location, doing 100/160/220/280/340 (+60% of your physical power) physical damage to all enemies in the area and reducing their damage done by 20% for 3 seconds.
COOLDOWN: 12 seconds
MANA COST:60/65/70/75/80

Ability #2: Eat Minion (picture is being a butt :p)
Bakasura grabs a minion and devours it, healing himself for 70/120/170/220/270 (+70% of your physical power) and gaining a 10/15/20/25/30 physical and magical protection buff for 5 seconds. Buff wielding minions must be at 33% health to be consumed. Up to 6 minions are stored for Regurgitate.
COOLDOWN: 18/17/16/15/14
MANA COST: 75

Ability #3: Butcher Blades (My fav of the 4 ^-^)
Bakasura passively gains 10/15/20/25/30 physical power. When activated, he gains an additional 10/25/40/55/70 true damage on each strike for 6 seconds.
COOLDOWN: 14
MANA COST: 60/65/70/75/80

Ultimate!: Regurgitate
Bakasura exposes his head, regurgitating all of the minions consumed by his Consume Minion ability at his ground target location that slows enemy players by 10/15/20/25/30%. Bakasura's basic attacks become cone attacks for 6 seconds.
COOLDOWN: 90
MANA COST: 80/90/100/110/120

The Strategy for Domination and Conquest.

DOMINATION

Ok, we're just starting a domination match, you just made a store run and upgraded all 3 of your ablilities. Head to one of the buff camps on the left or right (Protection, preferably), once the buff spawns, use Eat Minion and eat one of the small minions, take out middle one ( the one with the buff) and if you can, eat the other small minion. Go for the obelisk now, but only if there are minions there. If they are stuck in battle, kill them to allow them to advance. Use Butcher Blades for extra damage and take out the obelisk. If there is a god, be careful, if there are 2+ and you have no other teammates get away. The obelisk strategy with B.B. will be good for take them out fast. GOD TAKE-DOWN STRATEGY: Initiate the fight with Take Down, bonus points to me if they didn't see you coming. Follow with basic attacks and B.B. If you are low on health go runoff and eat a minion. Go for Buffs whenever possible, but make sure you don't get ganked ( A good example of using T.D. to escape). All you need to do now is take down some gods (DON'T OVEREXTEND >:c), and defend the obelisks. Simple Right? Good Luck and Good Games to you!

CONQUEST

We're at the fountain at the very beginning of a conquest match. You've just gotten the stuff you need from the store for now. If you guys haven't decided who is going to be in each lane, try to get your team to decide. Never lane alone at the beginning of a match, Bakasura is quite squishy at first. Some great lanemates would include Hel, He Bo, Ymir, and Ares. Don't immediately go into your lane, first wait by the Fury Farm in either left or right jungle, depending on which lane you are in, until they spawn. Then kill them for an exp boost, now head into your lane. If you can or if your partner hasn't said them yet, see who you are up against in your lane. For now farm the minion waves to get stronger, attack gods if you can, but be careful. Once the right time has come...ATTACK THE TOWER! Remember: Don't go into towers without minions and in a tower, don't attack gods or they will automatically target you. (THE MORE YOU KNO..ehem, sorry, that was immature...) Once the tower is gone, help other lanes push if you can, but don't leave your partner if he/she needs help. Get jungle buffs if you can and remember to call missing enemies.

Tips and Bakasura's Taunts

*Take Down as many minions as possible with the Devourer's Gloves.
*When in trouble you can initiate a buff camp and use Take Down to blow that joint.
*Remember: A fed Bakasura is a powerful one, and will be EVEN HARDER to take him down.

Baka's Taunts and Jokes:

"Time to eat." (Entering the arena)
"Flesh!" (Casting Eat Minion)
"Mmm, got beef?" (Casting Butcher Blades)
"Not even a last meal?" (On death)

*Burps* "Just making room for you."
"I'll suck the meat from your bones."

"Cyclops, minions, furies. Now that's a balanced diet." *Slurps*
"I eat because I'm unhappy. I'm unhappy because I eat. It's a vicious cycle."

On A Completely Unrelated Note, Check Out: SlyFoxHound!

This guy to me is a Smite master and has achieved a legendary Whole-Team Penta-Kill! Check him out and hope you like him. This is his Roadto30 series! Good Games and Good Luck to you bro and all of you out there reading this! -SteelEagle :D

[EDIT] Hope you guys like the new edit and I'll see you on the battlefield! Good Luck and Good Games to All! - SteelEagle :D

He probably suggested Fatalis because his guide recommends not maxing out Warrior Tabi until much later on.

Without Fatalis, you must max out the boots. Otherwise people will easily get away from you (especially if they've got Boots of Celerity), unless you are always using your ultimate to slow them (and that slow is easily removed by Sprint). There are a lot of other attack speed items out there.

As substitutes for Fatalis' attack speed, I would highly recommend Qin's Blades and Rage. While they do cost quite a lot of gold, the stats are totally worth the investment once you start tearing through a tanks' HP at a ridiculous rate.

Finally, I do believe there is a lifesteal cap, so you might want to drop one of those lifesteal items off the final build. Either the gloves or the eye, since Soul Eater is too important to lose on Bakasura.

By the way, the information is really good.

But alot of people hate Fatalis...

Also I just realized the build only has four items. I guess this is because one does not simply add situationals. But go ahead.

If you want to help improve my guide just PM me with ideas, and I find Fatalis to be quite helpful, fully upgraded I can move forward and backwards just as fast and my attacks are like rapid-fire. (and I did test it in arena and I got one of my best matches c:< )
