Introduction

I'll figure out more to put here eventually - my name is Dokuujin, and I play Bakasura as a main, obviously. Here's a guide.

Update 5/31/2015 Sorry, I haven't been on smite fire in ages! I plan to update the guide - at least the core build and items - to better fit season 2. Over all, I generally prefer attack speed and penetration, and generally ignore crit all together, or very minimal. (Example, Ninjatabi, Ichivivial, Asi, Executioner, Titan's Bane, Rage.)

Note: This guide is assuming you are jungling with Bakasura - the build it's self works in any game mode, and can be used as ADC, or solo; possibly mid, but not recommended. The attack patterns and such I describe work as well, but the actual over all game play is based around jungling. (Note: As of Season 2, I do not like to jungle with Bakasura, but the core gameplay remains the same.)

Pros and Cons

Pros

+ Massive single target damage.
+ Surprisingly high sustain for an assassin.
+ Easy to escape.
+ Easy to chase.
+ CC immune ult.

Cons

- Very squishy.
- No stuns.
- Highly suspect-able to CC.
- Raw speed is what keeps you going, thus greatly gimped by slows.
- Little to no AoE attacks, outside of ult.
- Poor performance in group fights.

Early Game

For starters - the starting items are very important. You want Bumba's Mask, tier one Hand of the Gods, and Boots. You'll have a bit of extra gold you can use to buy 2 healing potions, which help a lot early game, how ever they ARE optional. I find it better to save, so that as soon as you hit 1350 gold, you can immediately buy Heavy Hammer. First thing you'll want to do is run to the jungle on the side of the solo lane, and have them help you grab your buff - it'll be a power buff if solo lane is right, or a speed buff if solo lane is left. Speed is more effective for jungle early game, and you'll wanna focus that as a buff. However later in the game when group fights are more predominate and wandering is a thing, you'll want to aim for the strength buff - especially since this build gives crits and attack speeds, but little actual damage. (Don't shy away, now - with high attack speed and the ability to crit on almost every attack, even tanks melt away like butter. Raw damage isn't everything.)

Edit to this: With the new build, it's better to focus speed as much as possible - counter jungle the enemy speed camp as often as possible, and save your own damage camp for the mid laner. VSBT! Make sure they know you dropped it for them!

Anyway.

As always with a jungler, once you get your speed/power buff, help the solo lane grab their mana buff, then help their lane. You'll want to assist them into one of three things happens - 1) You kill the person in their lane, 2) you reach level 4, 3) The game hits 3 minutes in.

Keep in mind, when taking the FIRST camp, it's a good idea to use Hand of the Gods - you wont need it as much on the second camp, as either the solo laner will have their own, or your buff will be enough to take it down quicker.

Either way, once you leave, you'll wanna go straight for the mid camp closest to you - assuming it was taken at the beginning of the game, like it should have been, it will respawn roughly around 3:15. Note that the tact of this part covers ALL jungling, not just Bakasura.

Once you have hit that mark, and taken the mid camp, you'll likely wanna move on to the next buff camp - if possible, go to a speed camp that either just, or is about to, respawn. From here, all you'll need to do is run around killing camps - focus the mid camps as often as possible, and try to share them with the middle laner - ping the map when you are taking it, and command them to take the buff - IE, VSBT. If they are paying attention, they will come help you grab it - but you don't have time to wait, as you have to keep up in levels. If they show no signs of coming to get it, grab it and move on.

Note: Hand of the Gods is your best friend in stealing camps from other junglers, as well as taking out mid camps quickly. Know when to use it, but also save it! The one time you need it and it is on cool down can tip the advantage in the hands of the other jungler, and get you killed.

Another note: Fist of the Gods can also be a good alternative to HoG; it can't take down camps as well late game, but it gives you that stun that Bakasura is completely lacking

Mid Game

You will want to continue your methods of running around through the jungle, taking mid camps and buffs as often as possible, as well as taking down the smaller experience camps. Assuming you are using the exact build, and have a strength buff, you can usually solo the Gold Fury around level 14 or 15. Keep in mind, the speed buff will NOT help drop it, and you will die, till later game.

Edit: As of 10/23/2014 this is not tested with the new build, solo the gold fury at your own risk. If you've got Bloodforge at this point, the lifesteal should be enough, how ever, that which buff you have should be irrelevant.

That being said - don't be afraid to call for help on the gold fury - VAG - most players will gladly help themselves get gold equal to a kill for every player. But either way - take the gold fury as often as possible. Once you hit level 12 or so, you'll be able to drop it with the aid of a single person, and the more you take it out, the more power your entire team will have over all.

Ganking.

Ganking is love.

For Bakasura, the best thing you can do to Gank is to run in behind some one, pop Regurgitate, and then use Butcher Blades - stay on the side of them that is closest to THEIR base, and back up with them, trying to keep them from escaping. Assuming they -do- run away, that is where Take Downcomes into play - it is great for chasing, or instigating a fight, as well as escaping if need be. Be warned, using it to open a fight has it's advantages, but it is better saved to chase or escape. (Note: hoping through walls to save an allies life is worth the risk, by any means.)

Speaking of Regurgitate - make sure you use Eat Minion as often as possible. It may seem like a waste of an extremely valuable heal to use it, but you NEED to build minion stacks for Regurgitate.

Late Game

At this point, you should be pushing lanes, fighting in groups, and just all around messing stuff up. When ever you run past a camp - yes, past a camp, if you are still trying to jungle late game, you are doing it wrong - quickly use your 2 to devour smaller camp mobs to build up your ult - support where ever needed, and ALWAYS attack from behind. The only time some one should ever seen you coming is if you are defending yourself, or you are holding a lane solo while every else respawns.

Loki. (Or any other god that can distract minions, for that matter.)

As with all mob-spawner abilities, watch for Loki's decoy and invisibility - a smart Loki can omit the existence of your Baby Bakas. That being said, it is smart to save your ult until AFTER Loki turns invisible, or if he is starting to take you down, and you simply need distance.

Conclusion/Credits

Kill stuff, Eat stuff and Vomit stuff back up. While I may not be one of the best players, but I -am- among the best Bakasura players. According to Tiermonster's list, I have above average KDR on Bakasura...But also below average on assists, by all of .5. So, there's that.

Doku out.

Thanks a lot! I haven't actually been playing Baka, nor have I touched the guide in quiet awhile, but due to the Baka remodel started playing him again - that being the case, I will be updating the guide more. c:

Personally I love the crit, and that's how I usually build baka, but I would never take executioner over Quins or to be honest the magi's over Asi.. cause ya gotta max that attack speed man. I really like the desciption of the abilities, but you should take away the fact that you shouldn't use your Ult without atleast 3 minions in the description of Regurgitate just because if it gets to late game your cone attack will win you any 1 vs 1 fight if you play it correctly against any other melee with burst (Loki, Mercury, Serqet,Kali, etc.) since it allows you to stay out of their basic attack range while you can still hit them, and you're also CC immune for a short duration so loki, merc serqet or kali cant do **** to stop you from eating their faces. And then of course fatalis lets you back up away from them just as fast as they run towards you. So either they try to run away which they can't because cripple , slow and fatalis combo OP,meanwhile you can burst them down easily within that duration due to the quins and 2 crit, and if you get low and only then pop your ult... well Asi'll save your booty.

I don't like to take asi, the passive is useless for squishy characters; it can help if you are gonna escape anyway, and that's where consume minion comes into play. As far as Magi's goes, it is a necessary item on every god if you know what you are doing. As for kiting, that gets you killed. Baka's strength is being able to easily stay behind a target and not take damage at all. And as far as the consuming for your ult bit goes, you have more than enough time for 2 or 3 devours between uses; if you are dying alot and are respawning during cool down, then by all means, dont consume. But you should at least get 1, its not hard to do.

Edit: As far as Qin's vs executioner, Qin's is only good against HP tanks; executioner is good for everyone.

Honestly, if you read the top part, I only build two crit items. Depending on the situation I'll go Deathbringer and Rage if I need more crit chance, or Deathbringer and Malice if I prefer raw damage. On the average match, I have Hastened Fatalis, Ninja Tabi (or Warrior Tabi, depending on my mood) Rage, Deathbringer, Magi's Blessing, and The Executioner. Or Bloodforge instead of Executioner, but Executioner actually works wonders for Bakasura. I'll actually be updating the guide to remove some items I never use, and add a few I have thrown in recently.

The only situation where I use all 3 crit items is when I -really- need crit, but I want the bleed effect of Malice.

It actually was the icons initially, but it stretched out the text, and most people don't like guides as ... Wally as mine.
