Intro

This is just a build, not a guide. I had fun with this build, love playing as an off-tank and would only build some damage items if there was another tank on my team. Bacchus is such a fun character and can do a surprising amount of damage whilst still being hard to kill.

Have fun with this build and experiment with other items, of which I have added many alternatives. I like lifesteal on him. Not everyone's choice but I find with his 3 you can heal up a good bit from it. Enough to stay in the fight a while longer. I tend to build one magical and one physical protection item and ethereal staff. This gives me enough protections and health to keep me fairly tanky, I then throw in some lifesteal and finish with another damage item - usually gem of isolation just to be annoying.

Pros / Cons

Pros

+Very disruptive
+Deceptive amount of damage
+Can remain tanky even when built more towards damage
+Nice easy kit with good area of effect and good escape/gap closer

Cons

-Very mana hungry
-Abilities rely on his passive to be topped up a lot
-Ult makes enemies surprisingly hard to hit once they are drunk
-Crowd control ruins his 3 and his stun

Video Example

This video was of a Cooldown MotD so your game might not be quite as fast paced.

Summary

What can i say, Bacchus is great! I prefer him as a bruiser than a tank. Whilst he is not a bad pick for a tank, I just find him much more fun as a bully. You can just dive into the middle of the enemy team and just be a pest whilst your teammates do the leg work! Some protections, some health, a bit of lifesteal and a bit of damage and you're sorted!
I hope you have as much fun as I have had with this big guy!

And I choose lifesteal, as mentioned in the other comment, both to boost teammates and because i like it on any god. It might not be the best choice but I like it on his 3, if you hit a group of minions with it you heal loads. Keeps you in the fight that bit more.

Maxing Chug second is inefficient, You'll be better off maxing Belly Flop second.
Anyways, nice build.

I'm assuming it's more to benefit his magical teammates with the power+lifesteal aura, rather than to empower himself.
I'll sometimes pick it up too if I don't need to counter build with something else.
