This build is quite similar to the recommended build, but I left out the part when you sell mark of the vanguard. Depending on the situation, you will want to keep that item until you need to sell it to get your last item, or you will want to sell it after getting blink as to help get more aoe items. The main thing about this build is to increase your magical damage with your chains, then use bolster defenses so you can buff your team. After shooting all 3 chains at your opponent, you can use BD (bolster defenses) it will gain another stack of defenses, allowing even your minions to take a huge amount of damage as compared to when they did not have the buff on them. Also, this build is to give you access to one more item of your choice. I am at the time of writing this, mastery 2 with Ares, so I have a general understanding of how he works, but am still learning. I will most likely post more builds for him for various different kinds of situations. Usually I will get Pythagoreams Piece because it gives my team an aoe magical lifesteal, but you should not get it if you are the only magical damager. I am open to any criticism, good or bad, so if you have any thoughts on how I could improve this build, let me know. Again, this build focuses on using Ares chains and BD as to both keep your team alive and to do lots of damage. Please let me know what you think.

You have to weigh it out. Is the aura for 30 magical power worth dying quicker?
Bracer of Replishment is a horrible item to build *6th*. It's literally ONLY useful early game for sustain. You have nearly no magical protection, and you have 0% crowd control reduction. Finally, you have 0% cooldown reduction, which is pretty important in the teamfight phase for being able to use your ult every time blink is off cooldown.
Even in a build for 'bruiser damage' ares, this is just...iffy at best, because you're going to die in an instant. You don't have the mobility or survivability for your chains to do any damage.
Also, why wouldn't you include a skill order...that's kind of core to a guide, even if it's just a build guide.
Finally, you include that you left out the part where you sell
But if you take anything out of this, it's learn that Aura items are
NOT
an end-all-be-all for Ares.

lol Honestly I'm just trying not to be an ***, I would rather say I like the guide and try to give some advice rather than say your guide sucks stop making them etc etc.

No explanation as to the items you use, no skill section, no gameplay section, only semi-good thing here is the build, and even that is bad. No paragraphs, no sections at all, and one huge wall of text that was painful to read. Not trying to be rude, but please improve off of what I said if you want to make a good guide. If not, let this die. Downvote.
just my opinion of course, I do play tanks a lot however so I guess take it for what it's worth.
