This guide is by no means a be all best guide to Arachne - This is for those who want to play her at a competitive level. It is important to note that this is a revision to the guide made based on the suggestion of one of the moderators. I am as he terms it 'a smurf'. I created this account to highlight the positives of this build and you can see the results as I will link the smitelite and smite guru account info so you can see the build variations I have used, my scores for the games, as well as overall success coming from a new acct to Level 30 as a majority Arachne acct. Currently the acct is level 15 and my win % is a little over 70% after my first 60 games.

This build is a run and gun melee build. Your objective is to get in quickly with a high movement speed. Continuously strafe around targets to keep them disoriented. That being said, there are good matchups and bad matchups for this build.
Great Matchups - Xbalanque, Isis
Ok Matchups - most hunters / bruisers / mages
Bad Matchups - most other assassins with the exception of bakasura, bastet, and loki
Worst Matchup - Serquet, Kali
(This is based on personal experience -- remember this is a season 2 guide that I developed specifically to counter Xbalanque)
Starting Items are as listed with very little variation
I will talk about the why on items listed. Your core set gives you 3 different benefits that no other items can.
1. Hastened Fatalis - Allows you to continuously move while attacking. The benefit to this is mainly seen early game as your second skill needs to hit 4 times and when chasing you will almost never be fast enough without the fatalis to land all hits.
2. Golden Bow - While crit and bonus move speeds are part of the reason for this item, the main reason is that with this run and gun build, you will often find yourself chasing Gods into creep waves as they try to escape. This allows you to kill the creep wave while continuously damaging the god (very very important against most non bruisers you will encounter early to midgame)
3. Ninja Tabi - Ninja Tabi is preferred over Warrior Tabi because the extra 20 power isn't really necessary and the extra 15% attack speed is just enough that you won't have to invest into any other attack speed items between your fatalis and the ninja tabi as Arachne's second skill boosts your attack speed to near maximum for a set number of hits (normally long enough to melt a God)
The point to this build is to either Jungle or Solo.
Arachne is not a typical pick during ranked play, but with enough practice in season 2 she can counter some of the first pick heroes that cause you the most trouble (allowing you to ban other heroes that might be more annoying for your team comp).
Specific Counters and how they work are listed below
Xbalanque - Surprisingly Arachne counters Xbalanque very well. Because he utilizes DoT's and acrobatics your spiderlings almost always follow him long enough for you to get in close even if he leaps away to escape. Xbal has recently been upgraded and is considered one of the top tier picks for a carry due to his extreme late game capabilities. While arachne is considered a weaker late game hero with damaging capabilities lower than say Loki, her specific ability to get close to Xbal even after he escapes is what makes her so good. That as well as the fact that she can self heal the damage done by his abilities means that she is normally fighting him at full health in very close quarters with a higher move/attackspeed.
Isis - Isis is a well rounded pick for most ranked teams and very hard to counter. She has good movement, non-line of sight targeting, and one of the best ults in the game for teamfighting. That being said, most of Arachnes skills are direct counters to her. Spiderlings follow behind her in the beginning so her first few waves won't hit them when she is flying backwards (I was surprised to find that out as well, it has to do with the spiderlings spawn angles). Arachnes web tends to be very good for stopping her as well because with a Fatalis she will almost never be able to outrun your auto attacks. Finally, the timing on her ult is less than Arachnes ult by almost 2 seconds, meaning that when you see her ult, you can hover above her and wait for it to finish before coming back in (also a great way to wait for your heal/web to come back off of cooldown if done properly)
While Arachne does well against most hunters and mages, lategame bruisers as well tend to not be able to keep up with her so that she can simply run away, heal on a creep then come back and fight more.
Pros
This guide is meant as an instructional to show you different ways to play the same hero. Standard builds tend to focus on burst dmg as she has great abilites that tie directly to bursting others down. This build should be looked at as Guerrilla warfare, strike and retreat, strike and retreat.

Starting with Hastened Fatalis will cripple your early game and early clear. Sure you have HoG as a substitute but you don't need HoG when you can start with idk Death's Toll or Combat Boots or something like that. Your early clear for buffs at least is great with spiders. In lane, it depends on the matchup but you should have the hang of clearing w/o HoG.
While Ninja Tabi may be the first choice that pops up in your head since Arachne is "auto-attack" based, Warrior Tabi actually helps her out more. Believe it or not, Ninja Tabi will reduce your DPS unless you go a complete auto attack build (like the one you have). Warrior Tabi increases your early game presence, your spiders do more damage, and you still transition fairly well into the late game.
You also are missing any situational or defensive items in your build. magi's blessing is extremely useful for cc-heavy teams. Winged Blade and Witchblade can make its way on Arachne against specific comps.
My personal build with Arachne is Warrior Tabi + Jotunn's Wrath + The Executioner + defense item + last two items either crit or more pen/defense.
You should expand on the guide part of your guide and explain more about why you chose those items, what good they are in (lane?), how you deal with certain matchups, etc.
I also noticed you are still level 12. Unless you are a smurf or something, I recommend not teaching other players until you get the hang of basic game mechanics. I mean, if you think you are good enough, go for it! But I know when I was a level 12 I had no ****ing clue lol
Good luck on your guide!
Do you literally play Arachne?
She does not need hog at all. Starting tier one spiders will generally get you to lane faster than the enemy solo laner and jungle hogging both buffs.
