Aphrodite blows a kiss to an allied god, making them her soul mate and giving them both increased movement speed. If it hits an ally, it has a reduced 1s cooldown. If the kiss hits an enemy god, they are Damaged, Stunned and Aphrodite's soul mate gets jealous, increasing their damage. Also, Aphrodite's soul mate gains 50% of her MP5 and 10% of her Physical and Magical Protections.

If an enemy would be hit by both blasts, they will only be affected by the one originating from Aphrodite.

Introduction

Hello everyone,
This is my first guide here, and it'll be about my favourite goddess Aphrodite.

Aphrodite is a great mage, with great sustain, due to her healing and can also do some great damage to squishy targets.

In this guide I'll focus in the solo lane, even though you can also take Aphrodite to the mid lane or even as a support.

About me

Hi everyone, my in game name is WhoCaresXD, and I main Aphrodite. I also like gods like Awilix and Chaac.

My current stats with Aphrodite are (loading sreen): 2271 kills 5591 assists 298 wins.

I'm from Portugal, and I'm a smite addicted.

Oh and also English is not my main language so feel free to correct me in the comments. :D

Pros / Cons

Here I'll be talking about Aphrodite's pro and cons

Pros

- Very high sustain with heal
- Can do very high damage
- Has a pretty good wave clear

Cons

- Has to be near the target to use Back Off!
- Squishy if you build no defensive item
- Healing is easily countered
- Damage is very easily avoidable

Items

So, here I'll be talking about the items I've put above in my build and say why they are good on Aphrodite. Also one thing you might notice is that you will ALWAYS want your cooldown reduction to be 35-40% since you will be able to heal more often. Here I'll show you some ways of getting cooldown reduction while being a little tanky or doing a lot of damage.

Skills

Here I'm going to be talking about Aphrodite's skills

ABILITIES

Loving Embrace Passive Loving Embrace

Aphrodite's passive is that it gives her soul mate (the one she is linked with) 30% of all the mana she gains.

click here to find out more about her passive

First Ability

Kiss is the ability that makes Aphrodite different from other healers like Hel. Hel can heal everyone in her heal radius making her an aoe healer, but Aphrodite, needs to Kiss someone before she uses her Love Birds to heal someone or she will be the only one healed.

click here to see more about her first ability

Second Ability

Aphrodite's second ability is Back Off!, and it does damage to all enemies in Aphrodite's range, knocking them away from her and slowing them for 25% for 2secs.

click here to see more about her second ability

Third Ability

Love Birds is the heart of Aphrodite. This is the ability that allows her to heal herself (if she isn't linked with anyone) or her teammates, and also do some decent damage.

Forth Ability

Items that counter aphro

Here are the items that counter Aphrodite:

This is a physical god item, that reduces your heals by 40% when hit by a basic attack.

Note: This item doesn't stack heal reduction with Divine Ruin

Click here to see how much this item hurts aphro

This item does the same thing Brawler's Beat Stick, except that it is a magical item that procs when mages hit you with an ability.

Not going to do an example for this one, since it's the same heal reduction as Brawler's Beat Stick.

This item reduces the healing, but only when the person is on the range of the person who has it.

This is an item that you shouldn't worry about as much as Brawler's Beat Stick or Divine.

See on the example why.

click here to see the example

This active basically disables your heal while also slowing you by 40% for 5secs.

5 seconds without healing in a team fight is most likely a dead so you should always remove the effect from this active by using Greater Purification or even your ult Undying Love.

Tips/Tricks

Here are some tips and tricks when playing Aphrodite:

- Always be linked with someone with your Kiss. It makes you and your soulmate faster.

- Never be alone. Aphrodite being alone is not always going to end well in late game, just stick with your team.

- Don't rush using Undying Love. Save it to when someone is ulting you or your teammates.

- Always buy Greater Purification. It gives you not only cc immunity but also cooldown reduction.

- Always buy wards. Since Aphrodite has no escapes, it's always good to know if the enemy jungler is coming to gank you.

Summary

This concludes my guide, hope you enjoyed it, it took me quite a bit of time writing all that.

Thanks for reading.

Feedback always appreciated.

Great guide but one question. Why no Divine Ruin as a counter against other healers? You mention Hercules as: "so he's pretty much immortal against you" but Divine Ruin will counter him quite nicely.

So my main question about this guide, is why Rod of Asclepius? You mention how the passive is really good, but is it? Have you done the maths around how much extra healing it gives?

Lets say you have got all of your core items. With warlocks fully stacked, you have 290 power. 15% of this contributes to your healing. That's 43.5 ontop of your 38 base scaling. So your heal does 81.5 per .5 right now. With Rod your healing increases by 15%, meaning you get an extra 8.15 per tick. That's an extra 51 health... OVERALL.

The passive is useless, you're better off getting winged wand as it offers Movement speed, cooldown, and it makes you hard to pin down.

Ontop of which allows you to get Penetration boots, which is really strong right now.

Omg ... I just found my own soulmate !

Aphro is also my main god, mainly play her on Support/Solo ( Play more solo chang tho ) and I must say ... You build EXACTLY ( the order is diffent, but still ) how I build her for support and solo. I don't think people should build protections on aphro, so, when I saw this guide I was like :" Well ... let's see the procs and be mad " * Sees main build " " Oh ... My ... Gods ! " XD

Nice job ... but I'm no position to say that ... my starts are lesser then yours -q

But I play with aphro since before the beta so yeah ...

Congratz on this amazing guide ^_^

For someone named TopNoob you made one hell of a guide. Great sections, details, matchups, combos, items, it's all there!

I only have one bit of criticism and that's in regards to the item build. If you intend to do any damage at all late game you MUST build a penetration item. I noticed that this wasn't made a requirement, but it really should be. Just from the way damage is calculated in Smite, penetration is a huge factor that cannot be ignored. The general base magical protections for gods is 30. Most gods will also have this scale with their level. Just having 50 protections reduces incoming damage by thirty three%.

On Aphro, I'd highly recommend using Spear of the Magus in your build. It will bypass 35 protections +20% of the remaining protections, which will allow you to attack both bulky and squishy gods more effectively. Its passive is also very easily proc'd by Love Birds since it hits 6 times in rapid succession giving the full penetration to the last 4 hits.

Overall though, very impressive guide. +1 from me

Thanks for your feedback. Will take care of that, thanks for pointing out.
